Glad I was able to check out Littler before they close soon! Reservations are a must. Started off with the Saint Olmstead cocktail which was delicious. Very smooth and balanced, slightly sweet and fresh (and a fun, spring-y green color). The daily br

Littler is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Durham! The menu is New American with a focus on seafood and seasonal delights. The restaurant itself is cozy with warm accents, brick walls, and wood paneling. I feel like I'm visiting a goo

Incredible service from the staff + a cozy ambiance (perfected by the unique napkin rings and dishware)! We were pleased with all the items ordered - especially the carrot cavatelli and escarole. We had the early spring 2025 menu to choose from. En

What do you want? That's a good first question when you start the hunt for the next spot to enjoy a dinner out. There are times when you want what is familiar fare, but a different twist or style that delivers something comforting that still giv
A little Tweaking needed
Littler had been one of my favorite restaurants in the area for a while. They are one of a few restaurants who have switched to an automatic 20% gratuity. For the most part, I have no problem with this arrangement. I do believe that paying 20% g
The food and service were excellent, but the fish portions
The food and service were excellent, but the fish portions (for 2 women) were very small and we left hungry. I noticed that the patrons that had scallops appeared to have a much healthier amount of food. The restaurant decor creates a nice vibe.
Great "little" place in CH.
.... great food, great service and nice atmosphere.... they served dinner in the prettiest plates! Our waitress was awesome.... I think her name is Kaitland but if you go ask her Indian name, so cool! Will be back....
Went to Littler with a work colleague.
It's a small restaurant but does provide a nice ambiance. I decided on the carrot cavatelli and the braised beef short rib based on the waiter's suggestion. They also provided us with bread before our appetizers which was so delicious we
One year later.
.. still at the top of my list! For the first time had a later reservation, 8:30pm and my main course -the short rib dish was overcooked and after I called it to the attention of my server it was clear my observation didn't matter. No acknowledg
I love the atmosphere and the food was terrific.
Great service. A good place for a date or dinner with friends.
Fantastic food - not as sure about service but coming back
I feel like I've been passing by Littler for years and always seen it closed for some reason until yesterday finally made it in. The food for the price point is phenomenal - I have not been able to shut up about the carrot cavatelli which was no
Packing a small restaurant till there is nothing elft for the diner
We have arrived at the restaurant which is really a room the size of a reception room in some houses and a kitchen the size of a good-sized kitchen in some houses. Basically, looks like somebodyโs home and the dรฉcor is made to suggest the same. Th
The best dinner I've had in months, maybe years
This dinner was one of the best I've had in recent days and everyone in our party of 5 agreed. Some who had the sourdough boiled peanut bread said it was the best bread they'd ever eaten. My friend Carla and I both got the burrata appetizer
A fantastic small restaurant in downtown Durham
We had a fabulous dinner at Littler! We began with PEI oysters, swapped plates on the halibut (Savory) and scallop (sweet/fruity) entrees, both of which were delicious, and shared an interesting corn, vanilla, and waffle cone dessert. The wine was ex

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Littler Durham at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Littler Durham page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* CoolestCough45, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* CoolestCough45 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to CoolestCough45 for any questions Peter may have as CoolestCough45 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* CoolestCough45 now uses their connections at Littler Durham to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If CoolestCough45 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, CoolestCough45 receives the $200 reward which is credited to CoolestCough45's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Littler Durham!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
