Authentic decor. Same red and white tablecloths as used in the 70's Service is always spot on Food, well it is the iconic "Angus Barn" isn't it?
Overrated.
Much better steakhouses around for less money. Food was bland and the service was ok. Ambiance was kinda weird. I felt over dressed.

We took my mother in-law to the Angus Barn a few weeks ago for her birthday and had an amazing experience. I have been quite a few times but it was my in-laws' first time and it couldn't have been more perfect. I noticed that I left a revie
Great spot for food, bevs, and relics.
Seriously, the decor has the intrigue of an Americana museum. Charlie was a fabulous server. Our table loved the complimentary crackers and cheese spreads along with the fresh pickle and veggie bucket. I enjoyed my ny strip steak with sweet potato, C

Great dining experience but phew I am stuffed! Our waiter was super kind and the ambiance gives rustic, southern charm. My stuffed potatoes could have used a little bit of salt. The steak was cooked well, but also lacking some flavor this time aroun
Lovely, rustic atmosphere.
Service was slow but attentive. Delicious cheese and crackers but never received bread or rolls with our meal as others did. Husband had the prime rib and said it was very good. I had the filet wrapped in bacon and it was awful. Cooked rare (as I
Tasty Christmas Tradition
The second year of our Angus Barn Christmas Friends Tradition. Man, the food is so tasty and yet an 8:00 reservation is torture! I think I've ordered the same thing each time, Filet Mignon, mashed potatoes, salad, plus all the pickle plates and

Still great after 50 years.
I had gone to the Angus Barn a lot during 1973-75, but had not returned till this past weekend, when I went to Raleigh to visit family. Not only was the Angus Barn still a goos restaurant, but it improved a lot over the past 50 years. The decor was

If you like steak this is the place to go. It's pricey but worth every penny. The start you off with a cheese and cracker tray and if you like a relish tray too. I ordered the espresso rubbed filets with blue cheese mashed potato and green bea
Feels like the quality has declined over years.
Quality of food is more a 3, but giving a 4 star because of the service and ambiance. It is unique and a great venue. Worth checking out, but can find better quality steakhouse for the price you are paying.
Long standing history of delicious steaks.

Food is great.
Great for the kids as well, as they have a good kids menu and even a treasure box for the kiddos. Ambience is farm and barn of course and is neat. Gun collection is very cool. I've eaten here many times and wanted to share that the past two
Bad cut of NY strip
Seriously disappointed I was served a vein-end NY strip. I did not think the Angus Barn would do that. Should I ever go again I'll specify I want a center-cut strip. The vein end has some nasty gristle connective tissue that doesn't chew w
Wowww.
Such a cool venue. Great service and great food. They have a super cool wine flight with 3 or 6 pours. Skye was my server and she is so good. We chatted about food and wine and she helped curate a perfect meal.
We went for a 50th anniversary party.
The food was nothing like I have tasted before. I got the trio which was filet, lobter and shrimp. You cut through the filet like a hot knife through butter and the filet melted in your mouth. Both lobster and shrimp were delicious also. My wife got

This is the place for special occasions or just a night to chill. Desserts are always good if you have room!

Not Up To Expectations
We traveled to Raleigh and spent a night there especially to celebrate a family occasion. This restaurant is very old and tired and also way too expensive for a return. The beef main courses we had were decidedly average in every way but the price.
Dissapointed after all the hype, we were seated in the dining room, which was very noisy and very, very cold. I had the fillet mignon and my husband had the prime rib. My steak was tough, my husband said it was not the best prime rib he has had. I ha

While up here for work the wife decided to visit so I decided we should go somewhere to celebrate. It was last minute and we didn't have reservations (which can be made online). Upon arriving we checked in and were told it would be about 10 minutes.
