Miku Toronto Reviews from The Last Year
Só this is an updated review from my five star review from
Só this is an updated review from my five star review from the pandemic days. We got our usual take out -the sazanka platter. They punched in the wrong price and I was left waiting 10 minutes for them to figure this out. But I think my main disappointment was with the quality of food. The salmon was fishy, the fish that topped the red wave roll was paper thin, the fish roe topping on another roll almost non existent. In the end, I felt like I had a meal of sugared rice and fishy mayonnaise. It was quite sad. I don't think I will go order from here again- I'd rather order from other cheaper restaurants that would serve better food at a better price point. So disappointed to lose a frequented restaurant to shrinkflation. I would rather the price be increased and quality control maintained.
Pretty good.
Slightly pricey, but good quality. Clean, and the service was very professional. I would come back, and I have no complaints. One thing we're facing these days in Toronto is that some immigrant servers bring their values and expectations, which are culturally different from Canadian standards, different from local expectations. Not bad nor good, just different. So some people may be picky on servers.
We came here for dinner on our last night in Toronto
We came here for dinner on our last night in Toronto because Japanese is one of our favorite genres of food. My husband should have researched the menu more because it is quite limited to just sushi and 4 non-sushi entrees. Parking can be challenging- your only option is the building garage. We ordered unagi nigiri, o-toro nigiri, wagyu striploin, the miku roll, salmon oshi (4 pcs), and aburi oshi sampler (3 pcs). Oshi is pressed sushi. The food came out pretty quick, but we were not impressed- portions were small, the wagyu steak and pressed sushi were blah without much taste and very underwhelming in terms of flavor. The best part was probably the fatty tuna belly & unagi sushi. The prices were astronomically high and not worth it imo. Service was mediocre- definitely could be better. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for us (we left still hungry). I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Japanese food w/ lots of sushi options.
Great food and service.
Definitely a special occasion place and not a business traveler on a budget but worth it for the experience. Really enjoyed the atmosphere.
There's no way I could miss Miku's Winterlicious 2024
There's no way I could miss Miku's Winterlicious 2024 :) The menu featured similar items to previous LiciousTO events, and the quality certainly didn't disappoint. If I had to nitpick, I would suggest toning down the oil on the Aburi Sushi, but overall, every dish was just as fantastic as I remembered. Professional service and a tidy dining space, as expected.
Probably some of the best sushi in the city! Love and have
Probably some of the best sushi in the city! Love and have tried it many times. Great ambience and the service staff are amazing
The waitstaff and food were something to remember.
Presentation was beautiful and the flavor profiles were just as good. Quite a memorable experience, will definitely be back when returning to Toronto.

This sushi restaurant is a true gem, where every dish is a stunning work of art. Each plate is meticulously crafted with intricate details, making them almost too beautiful to eat. Dining here is an experience like no other. Whether you're a sushi enthusiast or new to Japanese cuisine, the flavors and presentation will leave you in awe. For a truly memorable and elegant dining experience, this restaurant is a must visit.
Went here for dinner and the food/service was excellent.
Very fresh sashimi (Hamachi, Kanpachi, O-Toro, & Maguro), the off menu duck confit was good and the pressed salmon oshi sushi tasted was great. Highly recommend that others come and give this place a try. Overall great experience dining at this restaurant.
Took my mom to Miku for their Winterlicious menu.
Cant vouch for their normal a-la-carte menu, but the Winterlicious food was so yummy! We started with Miku Zen, and the best part was definitely the miso salmon and tuna tartar. The sashimi was also very fresh. Aburi sushi didn't wow me, but the kaisen don had some really yummy components like the spicy salmon paste. Green tea opera cake was kind of a let down, but I think it's just because I personally am not very into chocolate and matcha mix. Winterlicious is definitely worth visiting once, I'm not too sure about what a normal dining experience might look like there though :)
Amazing
This restaurant had some of the best Japanese food I have ever had. The service was very good as well. It was amazing experience overall and I cannot wait to return to this restaurant.
Good setting for a corporate event
Food: Food is high quality and artfully presented, but somewhat small, fussy and expensive. Our meal was for an event and I don’t think anyone had any complaints. Service: Generally attentive and professional. Decor: Modern and sleek. Overall: It’s good, but not a standout. Certainly worth a try if you are not going to flinch about the bill.
Return visit as great as first
We had eaten here a few years ago and loved it. It is a large restaurant so not intimate or romantic but delicious nonetheless. Last time we had the tasting menu which proved to be extensive; this time we ordered a la carte, which proved just as delicious. Love a good saki tasting.
A different take on sushi
Our introduction to aburi sushi, an interesting variant on standard Japanese restaurant fare. Unusual preparations with local ingredients. Well done. Very good service. Good value in the downtown/waterfront area.
Love their aburi sushi
As one of my favourite sushi spots in town, I chose Miku for my birthday celebration this year, and it was a truly delightful experience. Starting with the Sashimi Select, the pieces were fresh and beautifully presented on a wooden tray alongside three delightful side dishes - maple glazed salmon, marinated seaweed, and pickled ginger. The glazed salmon, in particular, stood out for its rich and flavorful taste. The Miku Select and Salmon Oshi Sushi were just as delectable as I remembered. The aburi pieces, though slightly on the oily side, gained a tasty char after being torched. The Green Tea Opera was a symphony of flavours. The green tea cake base layered with dark chocolate ganache and matcha cream, accompanied by green tea wafers, matcha ice cream, and an assortment of strawberries and blueberries - a truly enriching experience. The added chocolate tag for my birthday was a delightful bonus. Our main server was great - knowledgeable and attentive. But the girl who brought us our dishes seemed a bit irritated, as if she'd rather not be on duty. Nevertheless, it didn't overshadow the overall delightful dining experience.
Good service
They’re very professional and very friendly and I am satisfied the service. I would highly recommend them
Amazing Sushi Restaurant
I love dining at Miku in both Toronto and Vancouver, always enjoy the menu, the quality of the food, the fish, the service, the drinks.
Unique Japanese style fine dining
We are fans of the original Miku in Vancouver. We have always had great food and great service there. So when we saw it was now in Toronto too we had to check it out. The place is busy. We required a reservation. We were seated and our server, Cheryl, was fantastic. Friendly, informative, she guided us in how the menu and food options were set up. We ended up having the Chef's tasting menu with wine and sake pairings. We love eating like this and the food choices and pairings were nicely done. The sushi options were terrific. Tender, full of flavour. we had a fish dish that was not as tender and a little dry (disappointing) in its preparation. Some of the other dishes were really good but not 'blow us away great'. At over $200 per person, we expected better. We enjoyed our meal here and would return here again, but next time likely choose fewer options for less money

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
