Goli Restaurant Budapest Reviews
The Best Meal We Had in Budapest
This was the best meal we had in Budapest -well worthy of its Michelin "Bib" award. The food was interesting, tasty, and varied; the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was lively. I know there are smarter (and more expensive) restaurants in Budapest, and I was only there for a long weekend, but this is the one I would go back to.
Middle Eastern cuisine in Budapest
A wonderful Middle Eastern restaurant located near St. Stephen’s Basilica. A small establishment so reservations are highly recommended. All of our meal options were delicious and very flavourful. The service is friendly and always with a smile. A real treat during our trip to Budapest!
Very nice atmosphere, friendly service, interesting menu and creative dishes. The flavors go really well together, everything looks great on the table — simple but not ordinary. Everything is high quality and I just want to come back again and again because it feels so cozy here.
Absolutely amazing experience!!!
Amazing experience! The services made us feel very welcome! The owners explains the food with this admirable excitement! The food was absolutely incredible! The place has a great vibe with fun decoration and music! Wowwww
Great meal and service
Because the restaurant is so small, reservations are a must. The menu was personalized to welcome us upon arrival - a lovely touch. We tried a lot of food - 3 plates per person are recommended. The lamb burgers the night we were there were out of this world. We enjoyed the service and the food. Recommend.
Best food!
wonderful and amazing food! the owner and servers were all amazing and so welcoming! we ate here our first night and hope to be back before we leave in 3 days! Petr was so accommodating!
Excellent food and atmosphere
We had such good food and drinks with amazing service. From the bread bag to the labnah and silk tahini, the sage grilled potatoes, grilled eggplant and lemon chicken shawarma it was delicious. The drinks were crisp and fresh on a hot evening. We had a 10-month old who loved the tastes we gave him and is ready to return! The staff were so helpful and efficient, such a great visit.
Something different in Budapest
Goli is not your traditional Hungarian restaurant. It is a family run restaurant in Pest and the food is based on Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. We enjoined a flavoursome labneh dip, followed by grilled lamb and best of all, a baked sea bass. It was wonderful. We even enjoyed a glass of wine from the Golan Heights. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is fun. Definitely worth a visit.
Delicious plant food
We really enjoyed this restaurant and came back twice to eat here. There is quiet seating outside with low street noise. Our friendly server thoroughly explained the menu to us, and we were not rushed through lunch. My wife especially enjoyed the vegetarian and vegan options, which led to our return for dinner. Inside, there was a louder vibe with music that helped move the cooking along. The different styles of food preparation and flavors will not make you miss meat. Highly recommended for plant eaters.
Fabulous food
Absolutely amazing!! Don’t miss this charming family owned business. Food was delicious, drinks were different and delicious. Looking for great atmosphere and great food don’t miss Goli!!
