Ebbitt Room Cape May Reviews
Went for a birthday celebration and had a wonderful time.
Dining room is beautiful with live piano music throughout. Lighting is romantic and wall sconces and decorative plates make for a nice atmosphere. The sitting room to the right had a fire going in the fireplace and the bar on the left was jammed.

Heard so much about this place and it is worth the hype! Enjoyed the scallops and the drinks were tasty. Service was on point as one would expect of a fine dining restaurant. Would definitely come back!

Had a birthday dinner for my wife 70th, food and service was great. Only complaint I had was they charged me a $350 holiday room charge without ever advising me when I booked the room. I spoke to the GM on Sept 2, said he would check it out and rever
Oh my.
It's not often that I go to bed dreaming about an amazing dinner. Last night was one of those rare occurrences. With good reason. I decided to have three appetizers (kind of a mistake given their size; not a mistake given their quality). My wife

The good - our waitress, April, was very attentive and friendly. The salmon special and scallops were cooked well. The bad - raw oysters had no flavor. I've had buck a shucks that were 10 times more flavorful. When we first sat down, a gentlema

You can't beat the location - the Virginia Hotel is just beautiful. An homage to the bygone Victorian era. The main dining room is lovely - decorated in an old fashioned way that is chanting - candlelight and fresh flowers from their Beach Plum

Outstanding service. Some of the most creative chefs in New Jersey. A top 2 choice for Cape May. Figure a $100 per per person

Good Food BUT.......
Good food and nice decor. But, a bit disappointing overall hence the average review. Our server('Kevin') was just an order taker. Didn't attempt to engage my wife and me. He got 'lost' periodically which contributed to the er
Ebbitt Room = Fantastic Meal
Arrived early, had a reservation for an inside table but the weather was perfect for eating on the porch. The greeter had no issues accommodating us. Bar tender was super friendly and made a fabulous Paloma for my wife. Our server Kate was friendly
Wasn't Disappointed For The First Time....will return
We went to the Ebbitt Room on my birthday in the month of September. We received a pleasant greeting at the door and seated in the main dining room. Soon we will be greeted by our waiter Andrian who served us very well during the entire dinner. The d
Disappointed for beautiful place
A lot of money for lack of attention to detail. Menu smeared with food, wifeโs napkin had lipstick smear on it, and plates came out with finger smudges. Food not acceptable to place of this reputation, fish on deviled egg tasted of dirty fryer gr

Fine dining in a refined atmosphere. Outstanding service. Great Food. Not a cheap date so be prepared to spend $100pp. Valet Parking.
Unsanitary water falling on our plates from overhead umbrella
Terrible patio dining during a rain storm. We had reservations which did not state that we would be eating outside and we actually changed restaurants from an outdoor dining area to avoid an incoming storm. We did not ask to eat outside. Large umbr

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Ebbitt Room Cape May at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Ebbitt Room Cape May page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* CoolestCough45, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* CoolestCough45 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to CoolestCough45 for any questions Peter may have as CoolestCough45 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* CoolestCough45 now uses their connections at Ebbitt Room Cape May to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If CoolestCough45 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, CoolestCough45 receives the $200 reward which is credited to CoolestCough45's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Ebbitt Room Cape May!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
