Donโt waste your time - comical service
Do not waste your time with China Tang. We went for my 40th birthday celebrations and it was a disappointment to say the least. The food was average, but the service was appalling. Young guy picking his nose as heโs walking around serving food, put

Another thumbs up for a great dinner
When in London we often go to China Tang. I love the beautiful art deco design. The food is constantly good. They do a good selection of mocktails. The staff are really helpful in helping you navigate the menu. We've never had to wait long for o

We had lunch at their Harrods branch.
We ordered prawn wonton soup, egg fried rice, choi sum & char siu bao. Everything was so tasty. I've eaten a lot of char siu bao & theirs is the best! Portions are small but there was just me & my hubby. It filled our tummies

A comical evening at Crufts, sorry China Tang
I live in Hong Kong and am a member of Sir David's China Club - while the design of the restaurant is as wonderful as the China Club in Hong Kong, guests are not treated equally. The rather large white poodle that was being continually taken up

Nice spot but food is average. Called me after I left accusing me of not paying the bill and embarrassing me in front of my date, Really terrible mistake to make considering I left a good tip
A disappointing return to a Once-Memorable Spot
Last year, my husband and I had a truly lovely experience at China Tangโimpeccable service, refined atmosphere, and beautifully executed food. We were excited to return, but sadly, this visit fell short in several ways. The Peking duck remains a s
Superior Chinese Cuisine
China Tang remains in the top rung of Chinese restaurants outside of Hong Kong. Each steamed dumpling and each other dish is fresh, original and tasty. The restaurant is beautiful and the service tops. Our lady helper, Lee, is most professional. Do

Love this place, the food is delicious, the venue is gorgeous, and the service was amazing. But when did drinks become ยฃ26,45 for a bloody Mary!? Wow! I must be getting old. First class evening though guys. Ama made it very special looking after us.
We went for Eid celebration but the menu had pork on it, the food was pretty good but was very overpriced.
The food was quite good, however I would say that it was quite overpriced compared to other restaurants with the same quality of food. The setting was also amazing though. We went there for Eid celebration but the menus had pork on them
We tried this restaurant in Harrod's mall .
It was a domain also. We have to fall I. Line to get in . It's a decent space and has a bar. The dishes we ordered were pricey and came in a small servings. Fried Rice King Prawn was ok. The prawn were cooked perfectly. At first they mistak
Best chinese experience in London
Hospitality and quality of food is great. They will always make you to feel welcomed. Especially Lucian who helped with drinks and finding food i needed.
Massive deterioration in quality.
Massive deterioration in quality over the past few years. Squid overfried, plasticky sweet and sour chicken. Regrettably the reduction in quality of the food has also been matched by a massive reduction in the quality of the clientele and professiona
There is no comparison...simple.
Best Chinese restaurant in the city wonderful food with an amazing wine selection too... Service was impeccable as you would expect of the Dorchester. Food is some of the best I've eaten out in along time.
Kind of good........
Many years ago the Chinese restaurant at the Dorchester was one of the top five in London. This successor opened 20 years ago and it could - should ? - do better. I was early and the boss chatted me up in a very friendly manner but then a somewhat pa
The subterraneanโฆโฆ

Surprisingly weak food
Surprisingly weak, particularly with the prestige and price point. Dim sum lunch on a Saturday - steamed dumplings very well constructed (large, tasty prawns in the dumplings/cheung fun for example). However delivered inexplicably lukewarm. Chicken

Sweet and Sour Taste at China Tang and not just the soup
Firstly it should be China Tang at the side door @ The Dorchester as we were not allowed access to the restaurant via the main entrance of The Dorchester . A minor point but when you have ladies with heels , they should be prepared for a walk ... We
Punchy
The decor and ambience is very pleasant but the food and service wasnโt high enough over your usual Chinese restaurant to warrant the hearty price point. Brought the wrong main course and instead of taking all the food away and return 2 main dishes
