Really one of the finest hotels Ive stayed in.
Attentive service is the hallmark. Always at the ready. Poolside is fantastic. Beach Grill, breakfast buffet, front door, rooms, all top notch. Not inexpensive - but you truly get what you pay for here. Worth it. One less star (and not their fault certainly) is the construction/demolition going on next door. Whistles, horns, jackhammers. Once done, Satai, I'm sure, merits five stars. FYI if you're over 60 (which we are), you might not see anyone who looks like you. Not a huge deal, but all 30-40 somethings in better shape than we ever were.

We were recommended by our kids to stay at this very well appointed hotel. From arrival to departure, the service was amazing. Boris the bellman, had everything under control and we were treated like celebrities. We booked the restaurant, Jaya, months in advance, so we didn't have to worry about where to eat the evening we arrived at the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet, the bathrooms had fantastic water pressure and special touches throughout the room. Turn down service, bottled water in steel cans, fresh fruit and a full buffet breakfast were nice additions. We went to the beach for the sunrise, which was just outside our door and we sat on the beach for a few hours, with wonderful service to set up our chaises and provide refreshments.

I was there this past Sunday to celebrate my bday, so me and my friends decided to do the Sunday brunch. I had my reservations two weeks in advance, I asked for the patio and they complied with that request. Needless to say the experience was ruined by two incidents. First incident was that they put proceeded to put us in a corner with heavy traffic so we all felt like we were in everybody's way as everyone walked right by us the whole time, also they gave us "ghost chairs" so the discomfort level was at a maximum (my tail bone is still hurting as if I would've slipped and fell and landed on my tail bone) the hostesses attitude was pretty much "take it or leave" I asked for the manager but he never came. And finally to top it all off, we were asked to leave not once but twice literally right after we paid, as some people were still finishing their coffee. I am extremely disappointed with their service or lack thereof, and major rudeness, or really left a bad taste in our mouths, some of my friends drive all the way from Boca, to be treated like this? Completely unacceptable. Think twice about coming to this place, plenty of other brunch places in this city that will treat you with respect and professionalism
Be the first to ReplyGreat ambience.
Loved the little dance show. Food was delicious but the waitress could have been friendlier. When I go to a restaurant like this I expect that the server is friendly and doesn't ignore us the whole time. This is a complaint I heard often about this place and experienced myself as well.

Selection was great and service was awesome. Very nice atmosphere for celebrating a special event

Aesthetically this place amazing, and the dance show is a fun twist. The food needs a lot of work, my entire table was disappointed about their food. Such a Bummer, that the food didn't mirror the ambiance of the restaurant and the performance.

Too bad there is no reference to just this experience. You either write about the hotel or Jaya. 7 of us Christmas Eve brunch, left a lot to be desired. I had heard sooooo much about this brunch and it left so much to be desired. The food, at best was mediocre. It was really a hit or miss. Specifically, if you ordered two (2) lamb chops rare, you got one rare and one well-done. I ordered the salmon - it's a tiny piece, I said, please "just sear it" DONE... how hard is that. I tried so many dishes to be just average is just not the experience I was looking for. I thought the Indian food was going to be a hit and then that petered out too; if I got one piece of lamb that was tender, the next bite was chewy as all get out. My son said, to be fair, you have to know they are fixing food for the masses today. The place was absolutely packed! That brunch is NOT CHEAP. To be fair, I would have done better going to chick-fil-a; at least my order would have been correct. The champagne was on point, my Bloody Bull (tequila) was very good. I had to come home and fix me a snack - this was not cool and I won't be going back anytime soon and definitely will not refer anyone. Back to the Biltmore... Maybe I'm just picky, but when you select a fancy place that you have heard so many great things about, it should at least come close to its reputation, in this case, it was a major failure.

i do not recommend this hotel solely on the fact that there is zero customer service I don't get it. i do not recommend this hotel what so ever.
Be the first to ReplyThis visit to a "luxury spa" was somewhat disappointing.
My husband and I had a couples massage arranged on our first visit to this business to help us commemorate our first wedding anniversary. Although our visit was very uninteresting, no extra efforts were made to help us celebrate our special day. We would have been more than delighted to pay for the additional amenities, but nothing was offered. Although the massage itself was soothing and delightful, the front desk staff at the spa seems to need more training. It doesn't feel like a luxurious experience for the money you pay; for $800 less, I could have experienced the same thing at Massage Envy. This business should, in my opinion, concentrate on improving its customer service for every client.

Moreover, the Jaya restaurant downstairs right when you walk in. Not only is the place gorgeous, the drinks and food are amazing as well. Definitely more pricey but this is what you pay for in Miami. The best part of all is the live entertainment that starts at 8pm. I have to say watching the fire dancers, and dancers in general makes the night so much fun. The music is also great. Overall a great spot if you're visiting Miami and want a show.
Be the first to ReplyA monument to inefficient and uncaring service.
Show up with your full party on time, be told you would be seated "momentarily" and still be standing around 90 minutes later. When you ask for an update are told to leave. This is a congregation of the worst people in Miami. Zero stars.

We had an amazing stay here - the ambiance + friendly and warm staff made this a memorable stay. As a parent, there is nothing more important than the amazing folks who made our stay special and easy while traveling with children. While we spent most of the time poolside, we were able to enjoy the poolside drinks and food a ton and all of it was fabulous. We also ate at the Ocean Grill and it was great. The kiddos loved the chicken tenders and I loved pastas and salads. We hope to go back soon!

Be the first to Reply6 star ambience, 4 star product, 3 star service.
Amazing beautiful tranquil oasis right in the heart of Miami Beach, though a bit overpriced for what it is and with some major 'tude that doesn't belong in a luxury hotel. We put up two friends who came for Art Basel here.6 star ambience: Picture a giant Zen garden crossed with a 4 Seasons hotel and you get the general vibe of this place. Just about every detail is chilled out elegance with an ultra luxury twist. In one of those "only in Miami Beach" moments, it turned out our friends bonded with a fellow hotel guest. He was a visiting artist in town for Art Basel who poses his cat in costumes, takes pictures and then sells the photos for big $$$. He had even smuggled in the cat LOL.4 star product: The rooms and public spaces are terrific, but overpriced. In large part you're paying an aggressively high rate not so much for the product but for the Keeping Up with the Kardashians fabulousness of the whole experience.3 star service: For a luxury hotel, there are significant service lapses. From check-in to valets to to restaurant staff, there is definitely a "hipper than thou" attitude permeating the hotel...almost as if the employee handbook says something like "make it more exclusive feeling by pretending you yourself are a mogul"

I would definitely recommend this place for dinner , the service is impeccable. We had the salmon which was delicious. The hostess was informative and attentive. We went back for lunch and again the service, ambiance was pleasant despite the work being done to the outside terrace .We went again for the brunch . The hostess seemed to be having a not so good day as she was abrupt when it came to attend to me and brushed me off to another attendant who was standing by. She may have been overwhelmed as it was a rainy morning and there could have been many walk ins since the hotel guests may have decided to dine in rather than go out in the rain . I would normally have not mentioned but after having two great experiences I thought it necessary to add especially since she was obviously the senior staff on duty. The food did not disappoint , carving stations, omelette s made to order , Indian cuisine, and many other delectable choices . They had a variety of dessert stations and many food choices to appeal to everyones palates . The entertainment was a good addition to compliment the brunch . A great morning with just one slight hiccup.Shows you that your staff can make or break you .

Recently visited the restaurant in this hotel from New Jersey, Did not get to stay at the hotel but were able to eat at the restaurant, let's start with beautiful entrance , decoration l, great staff, great food, fair price. I definitely recommended this place
Be the first to ReplyWhat a place.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the hotel, the staff, and all it has to offer. From the moment we arrived until the Uber door shut when we left, the staff was AMAZING. Attention to detail is everything, and the Setai had it all. Calling us by name, setting up our beach/pool chairs, everyone was kind and attentive without being too overbearing. We cannot wait to come back!
Be the first to ReplyThere are bathrooms and valet parking.
This is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL place I have ever been. Just stunning at every turn. It popped up under my "rooftop bars" but it is not a rooftop. You walk in and it is at street level. There's an oceanfront restaurant too. And the oceanfront bar is pretty decently priced especially considering the gorgeous environment. Beautiful plants and water everywhere. A serene and beautiful environment. Two sweeping lap pools and beautiful lavender smells from the spa were just amazing. Three choices for desert: chocolate cheesecake, tiramisu, and crepe brรปlรฉe.I'm sure they were all delicious. The wine was perfect. The staff was above and beyond kind and friendly. Not uppity at all. Even when we said we'd just be having drinks. Just a wonderful experience altogether!

The Jaya restaurant at the Setai Hotel is surreal with Japanese inspired decor. We sat at the bar and enjoyed champagne, an old fashioned and their signature "Spicy Passion fruit Martini". It was hot , but fruity. I was also impressed by their liquor cabinet - has anyone ever seen a grey Clase Azul? Either way, it's fancy! Check it out the next time you're in South beach!
Be the first to ReplyI wish I could leave a big fat zero stars .
Philip your pool manager needs to be fired immediately. Calling your black guests a n*gger and then when you're called out on it you turn off your instagram comments like cowards . This is absolutely disgusting and absurd but we can tell by your page and management the only guests you actually enjoy catering too.
Be the first to ReplyTruly incredible.
i picked this restaurant for the aesthetic / atmosphere alone (which was gorgeous i must say, included a dancer and fire act as well!! Pretty classy) but the food stole the show. it came out so quickly ?? we had the scallops as an appetizer and the salmon. me and my man talked about that salmon for days after having it and i could tell from the first cut of the scallop it was perfectly cooked. dessert was incredible as well of course
