Tasty Corner Cafe Looe Reviews from The Last Year
Delicious carrot cake!
Popped in for some tea and cake this week. The homemade carrot cake was absolutely delicious. And we sat out in the sun to enjoy it too.

We always love coming here because the food is always good and menu is reasonably priced. Good service. Husband's skirt steak was a bit over done. No complaints here.

A local Breakfast/Brunch restaurant with a great atmosphere, extensive menu, and excellent prices! Our waitress was attentive, polite, and very helpful. The food was delicious, filling, and certainly worth the money! Overall, a positive and pleasant experience with delicious food! I will be revisiting again sometime soon!
lovely place for lunch
lovely traditional food, reasonably priced, would highly recommend, stopped for lunch, milkshake with icecream was lovely.
Pit stop
Stopped for a drink whilst visiting Looe. Served quickly and with a smile. Lovely coffee and the hot chocolate was great, so tasty.
Great cake
Was in the area, fancied a hot drink and popped into here , or rather sat outside with our 2 dogs. The drinks were fine ,but the 2 cakes were really, really good. Coffee & walnut and a chocolate & peanut butter. We had 2 fat slices ,both lovely and moist and incredibly tasty . Will happily come again

Walked in here after getting off a Metra train across the street at 11:00am Friday 9/22/23. Stood by the "Please Wait to Be Seated" sign for several minutes. The restaurant was about 1/2 full. No employee acknowledged me, so left after 5-minutes.

Excellent service waitress are attentive, nice ambiance was chill and nice viewing to the outside. Food was delicious and tasty. I will definitely be coming back.
Rude and overpriced
I genuinely thought I was seeing things when I saw they were charging £11.45 for a jacket potato. You wouldn't even pay that much in central London! I asked the owner if this was for real and he told me I should go elsewhere if I didn't like it. He was beyond rude. I'd suggest any of the places opposite or the pub round the corner. I appreciate everyone's got to make a living but this is daylight robbery.
Brilliant breakfast with friends
Although we are local, we’ve never been here for breakfast, no particular reason, we just haven’t. It was lovely. Friendly staff, freshly cooked food, hot coffee, lovely and clean, what more do you want. Thank you, we’ll be back!
Pretty standard diner fare.
Service was very friendly, though on a Sunday morning (yes, typical time to go for this food) it was slow going. A bit longer than I had expected, considering the very easy meal I had ordered. Coffee good. I'd go back if I was in the area. It was very entertaining to sit facing the intersection outside and watch every car coast through the stop sign!
A great find in the neighborhood.
The portions for the price are unbelievable! Maria is the best server ever, so friendly and made it feel like home! I had breakfast but the fries also looked amazing! Would definitely go again!
This place is so cute and super clean.
Our server, Sofi, was really sweet and very attentive . The food was delicious and priced very reasonable, no price gauging here! Definitely a place I look forward to coming back to, soon.
Proper old-fashioned café
'Jake's' as the locals call The Tasty Corner, is always friendly and offers great café food. They do a fab pancake stack with maple syrup and bacon.
Consistently good food, friendly professional staff.
We love this cafe. We have been visiting Looe for a number of years and this cafe is consistently good. We often have brunch, we can fully recommend the sausage on toast, pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, scrambled eggs and even the Sunday roast. The staff are all really lovely, professional yet friendly.
Steak was perfect, service was great, small corner location
Steak was perfect, service was great, small corner location next to the hospital we were visiting
Nice Place
We stopped off here for drinks and snacks, while in Looe. Friendly service, good drinks and snacks. Well worth a visit.
Rubbish food don't bother!!!
Don't bother horrendous meals. £12 for fish, oven chips and a slice of butted bread. Should have gone to chippy across otherside of Port. Gutted we wasted time and money on this place. Full of locals, so I thought it would have been o.k. Boy, I was wrong.
