Soulbelly BBQ Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
No plates, but food is great..?!
Food for 4 was delivered on a large tray for the table. Waitress informed us then that they were out of plates (?) so we ate off of paper towels and a small 1 small "boat" for each person - normally used for fries. The food here is very good, but be warned that the pulled pork is VERY spicy. Corn bread is amazing, mac & cheese, brisket & ribs are delicious. You might want to take your own paper plates if you want to eat off of something other than a paper towel!
Best BBQ Experience in Las Vegas
Amazing smoked barbecue! Very tasty and tender meat. It has a variety of beers and great service. Very friendly staff.

My mother and I visited this restaurant on March 17, and the ribs were to die for so much, so we booked this place for her 81st bday dinner. This time it was TERRIBLE. The ribs were extremely large and very fatty. It just didn't taste the same as the week before. Also to note on our bill, the waitress Jazmin C charged us 9 orders of ribs for $81 where I believe if you do a combo, it would have been cheaper-she never suggested any of that. So my overall review is that it can be good but just not consistent in cooking style. The bbq spiced fries and the cornbread are really good. I thought the temperature inside was chilly so bring a sweater.
Best BBQ
The best BBQ ever!! The meat on the pork ribs just fell apart so deliciously. I am not a fan of pork ribs, but I definitely want to go back for more next time I am in Vegas. This was the best dining experience my husband and I had the whole week we were in Vegas. The server was so kind and attentive, and the food was beyond delicious. The price was reasonable, but nowhere in Vegas is it cheap to eat anymore! The Texas Twinkies - jalapenos stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon - were so good, I am going to attempt to make them myself. Too bad we had plans, because the local live band that was warming up to play Reggae music sounded great. Cannot wait for next year to return - this restaurant is a definite place we will visit again!

Service was very good, food was nothing special, the band was great. Bathrooms clean.
Pretty good BBQ.
Inside and outside seating. Nothing fancy. We needed a small snack so we got the 1lb of St Louis ribs and the Mac & Cheese. Good stuff! The ribs still had a meaty texture, and I don't like fall off the bone ribs at all. A nice plus is that HUDL brewing is right next door.

Great service and amazing food! We had the brisket that melted in your mouth, plus they had three different sauces to try available on the tables. The mac and cheese was delicious and came out piping hot with the best breadcrumbs. Great atmosphere inside too!
High Quality, Non-Casino BBQ
In an attempt to get away from the Strip's and Downtown's highly-engineered customer experiences, we visited Soulbelly to get a taste of non-casino fare. The premises is visually interesting -- you're greeted by two really large smoking chambers in the courtyard just off the sidewalk. The restaurant decor has a country flavor, and the menu, while not overwhelming in its number of choices, has representation of the expected food groups. We had the brisket (FANTASTIC -- tender, smoky, and juicy) with cornbread, and the pulled pork with cornbread. Choice of 4 sauces, none remarkable but the NC vinegar-style was the best of the lot. The service was a little in-your-face -- we wanted time to catch up without being upsold at every attempt. Note: Each meal was $18.00 ... kind of pricey for BBQ, but it was tasty and non-casino, so we paid it willingly. Hope to make this a regular stop on our visits to Las Vegas.

I love going for the second Saturday (afternoon) of the month Las Vegas Blues Society's music jam. The music is awesome. However the last 5 out of six times I've gone I've been disappointed because they've been out of ribs. Not a good start for the afternnon. And this is at 2:00 PM! I'm not a big fan of their other offerings as I find the fare just not up to par with other BBQ food I've eaten around the country. Their brisket is just OK and expensive. It needs a more tasty bark on it. Without sauce it's pretty bland IMO. Their baked beans are decent but again expensive. It seems they keep changing their menu with fewer choices. I'll still continue to go and support the music jams on the second Saturdays of the month though and hope they're not out of ribs which are decent. It just seems you pay a lot of money for the amont of food you get...

Being Las Vegas Natives, it can be hard to find authentic American BBQ in our valley. We decided to give this place a try after another a bad experience at Rolling Smoke. The meat was FANTASTIC. Atmosphere was great, affordable pricing. If I can give two critiques, the Service was good but not amazing, and could use some more meat options. Certainly worth bringing your friends to give a close to authentic experience to traditional bbq.

This place is delicious with great ambiance! Super casual with picnic style seating and a small bar with chairs. They have the BBQ smokers outside right when you're walking, so you get to see the cooking process which is pretty cool. The brisket, ribs, pork belly and hot links are all great! Also really love the pickled sides that come with each tray, which I believe you can even purchase their pickles to take home! They're that good! The chicharron is really tasty as well. And also Love going here with friends on a weekend because they also have live music. Last time I was there they had karaoke night with the band backing you up, which i was pretty cool.

Great bbq spot in the arts district, my son and i went on a sunday and it wasn't too busy as other days. They have the smokers outside with a sitting area and the bar and another sitting are next to a stage, it's a big place. we had some brisket, pork belly, macaroni and cheese with the best cornbread ever. Everything was great specially the friendly server,i highly recommend to try atleast once, it was as if we were in Texas eating the real thing.

Ordered the "large" option of various Meats and sides for a special occasion. Looking at the site and reading everything decided the $140 seemed like a great option to feed 4 adults. Upon pick up and getting it home... we had 1 very small tray of meat... everything seemed so random too. Our sides were in tiny 4 ounce cups and not even close to a portion to feed everyone let a lone the options were sparse. We Received a spoonful of Mac n cheese, coleslaw and 2 slices of white bread as well as 1 small corn muffin, 6 steak fries and some broccoli as well. 1st. It's advertised as feeding 4-6 people... it came with 3 ribs, and tiny little "boats" of meat. I guess this is what we get for trying a new place to celebrate an accomplishment for our parents by surprising them with Lunch. Had we known the actual portions... we would have been able to order accordingly or simply go to another place that we liked and knew what we would get instead. Super uncool and bad experience all around.

First things first: Michael, our server, made the experience!! He was so personable, excellent at his job, and kindest person in Vegas! The food was incredible!! So hard to decide what to try. So we all got something different and sampled everything! So good! Definitely a must stop!
Legit Central Texas BBQ in Vegas.
Uses 24x7 wood fired 1,000 gallon offset smokers of the same premier maker used by marquee Central Texas pitmasters. You'll need to go to Texas to find anything better. Brisket is outstanding. Pork belly, specifically the pickling of it, is exceptional and a must try. Ribs are good and will no doubt continue to improve. Owner cares deeply about his craft and food. He will go above and beyond to delight customers. Talking to Texas Monthly top 10 award winners I discovered he was personally recognized and highly regarded.
This was the best BBQ I have ever had.
In fact, almost all of us from our group agreed that this is some of the best BBQ they had ever had. We had a birthday party for my son before heading to a concert and it was a great way to start the night. First I have to give thanks to Maria, our server, who was super kind, patient and just made the evening even more pleasant. We had a group of 14 and so we ordered brisket, pulled pork, smoked portobello, smoked turkey & St Louis Ribs for the proteins. We also ordered the Mac N Cheese and The Ranch Beans. I think the Ranch Beans was probably my favorite. I was shocked just how much meat was in it and the flavor, OMG. There was a great band playing Reggae and again Maria was constantly there making sure we had everything we needed. I will say the Shiner Black Lager was pretty damn good. Can't wait to get back to Vegas so we can come here.
Best brisket burgers in the city love their chili perfectly
Best brisket burgers in the city love their chili perfectly sweet a little tangy fire mac & cheese OMG don't get me started on that corn bread with the sweet honey butter on top. The ambience perfect seating outside next to smokers as far as I can see they are located right next to a Bar so if their line gets long they say feel free to go to the next-door neighbor. The service is just lovely I go there as often as I can :)
Great Texas style BBQ
Last year I visited all 50 of the Texas Monthly Magazine’s Top-50 BBQ restaurants across Texas. It was an epic undertaking. So, I’m still no pro taster, but I’ve had some good BBQ. Let me tell you: this place is good! If it were in the right state, it should have even been on the list!! I really, really, really enjoyed this. Came on a week night and wish we could have been there when a band was playing. Lots of people but certainly room for us. The pits were out front and the place looked EXACTLY like a BBQ joint should. Well done! Staff was engaged, good, fun - this is the spot. Then the food. Took it up even another notch. Had a Shiner Boch to wash everything down because what’s better with BBQ? Started with the fried Mac & cheese which was explosively good. I went with the turkey sandwich. It was amazingly good, but after trying my friends brisket I did an order mistake!! Both were tremendous. For sides I went with beans. Not the typical Texas Charro beans. More east coast baked beans which I love and prefer. Also went with the slice of corn bread. It was ok, for the price I wouldn’t have done it again. Overall this was a phenomenal experience and taste that I highly recommend!
Perfect
One of the best brisket I had eaten. The pulled pork is just amazing. The bbq fries is ho my god 🥰. Nice restaurant, live concert music
Soulless
As a food lover I was seriously looking forward to visiting Soulbelly BBQ. My trip made me hate eating. I didn't think it was possible but I spent $50 plus tip (in advance) and left disappointed, disenfranchised and worse of all hungry. Food would need to improve to be considered sub par. Avoid unless you hate your taste-buds and or belly.
$100 for grey fatty barbecue.
We had seen the place online and thought we would try it out. When we arrived we were told it was a celebration for their birthday event and they had 5 chefs doing barbecue. We thought that may be good. The staff on the door charged us $100 for both of us to enter, we were presented with tip options starting at 25% when we have only walked into the place. I thought this was pretty crazy but assumed it was a eat and drink kind of event and there was live music so we went with it. We were given paper plates and pointed to the end of the table. The barbecue was the very end of a pig roast. Grey looking meat fatty and unpleasant I had one bite and didn't have more, considering this is a barbecue joint it was pretty poor. Sides were nothing special, cold scooped macaroni salad, no potato options at all, a cube of mac and cheese and chop suey. This was a pretty poor show for $100+ the price didn't even cover a drink. It wasnt even as good as barbecue you'd get in a relatives back yard. Incredibly disappointing. Maybe their normal menu is worth it but it was pretty grim.
