Ribalta New York Reviews from The Last Year
The food was amazing.
Not just a pizza place. It's so much more. The drinks prepared y will the bartender were insane. I love gin and thought I knew a lot about different types but he took it to another level. Great food good prices. Friendly staff

I was in NYC on a Sunday and the #2 ranked pizza spot in the world (actually #3 because there was a tie for #1) Una was closed. Luckily for me, Ribalta was open and was also ranked in the Top 10. This restaurant is located near Greenwich Village, a short walk from Washington Park. Upon walking in, I was mildly dissapointed and somewhat skeptical. The interior design looked more like something out of a beachside town like Santa Monica, CA. Kind of modern-coastal vibes with lots of white and neon. It just looks like a touristy spot ... and worse yet, the faux leather benches were torn and flaking in spots and covered in somewhat iffy throw pillows. I am glad that I did not judge a book by its cover. As a somewhat expert on Neopolitan pizza, I've had the best in the world in Naples ... and the top rated ones in the US. I still put Pasquale's in Rhode Island towards the top spot, along with Naples offshoot Pizzaria Antical di Michelle in West Hollywood, CA. (The NYC offshoot closed) From a purely pizza standpoint, I'd put Ribalta in my top 10 or 15. You'll never get cheese as good as the Fior di Latte in Naples. It's otherworldly and, it seems, impossible to recreate. The sauce at Ribalta is made with cherry tomatoes from near Mount Vesuvius and I'd believe it because the sauce is as good as any I've ever had on a pizza. The crust gets an 8.5 - 9. It's light and airy ... somewhat floppy in the middle and good enough that you'll want to eat the crust. While a very solid recreation of Neopilitan pizza, it lacks perfection in a few ways: - The ingredients are good but something was just off. This is not to say it wasn't great pizza ... I'd still put it in my top 10 - 15 US pizzas. However, maybe the ratio of cheese/sauce/basil was slightly off. It seemed a tad dry. Not sure why ... maybe a bit more cheese was needed, or a spritz of oil. - Obviously, things in NYC are going to be more expensive. I won't compare the value of this to Naples, where $12 buys you a pizza and a beer. After tip, a single Margherita pizza (not even bufalo mozerella) and beer was almost $50. That's just a lot to pay for a pizza. Overall, while I wasn't impressed with the decor, the pizza was a solid 9 ... if you like authentic Neopiltian pizza. If you are looking for NYC style pizza ... this isn't it. I have heard that John's nearby is the spot for NYC style pizza, although I wasn't that impressed and would choose Prince Street Pizza for NYC style pizza. I would return here if I was craving Neopilitan style pizza, if not for the sauce alone, although the world is catching up to Naples.
My family and I have been going to Ribalta for years.
It's been one of our favorites and staples. Until the last 5-6 months. We had never had a bad dish until then. I don't know what's changed but the last two times we've ordered in and the last time we ate at the restaurant there have been serious quality issues. I think we may be done after tonight's meal. My chicken Milanese was so tough and unsalted. Our spaghetti Al pomodoro was chewy bland and basically inedible. Our pizza margarita was average at best. And I went to pick it up to avoid any concern about it being delayed during delivery. We're soooooo disappointed.
Had a great meal here with family.
We thought we might be ordering too much food but the portions are on the small side with the exception of the pizza. The meatballs were light and airy, the pastas fresh with scrumptious sauces, the Brussels sprouts cooked perfectly and the pizza crust was out of this world. We were tucked away in a corner so it was a little quieter. Would definitely go back!

I came here on a double date and thankfully we had a reservation. We had a table by the bar so there was def a lot of foot traffic. We ordered a bottle of red wine from their pretty extensive wine list. I ordered the Truffle Gnocci pasta and it was soOOoOO delicious! I'm aware that they are known for their Neopolitan pizza, but I was def feeling more pasta vibes and they did not disappoint. By the time we ordered our checks there was a line out the door and almost looked impossible to make it through the crowd to exit (very chaotic!) When we were literally signing our checks another waiter (not the one who served our table) came by to inform us that they needed to seat other parties. I am aware that most establishments prefer patrons to dine for 90-120 minutes and due to the efficient service we were closing in on about 60-75 mins of dining time. This was completely unprofessional in my opinion as we were literally signing our checks to leave so I wish he had been more situationally aware to notice that we were preparing to leave Ribalta. Between this encounter and the lack of managing the chaotic front line properly I have decided that Ribalta is overhype. If one ever *has* to visit then I recommend making a reservation and preferably not go close to dinner time, but for me and my house -- we are good on Ribalta! Also, forgot that we ordered dessert. It was okay!

So...we managed to get same day reservations, which is awesome when you're only in town for a quick weekend. We aimed for Una Pizza Napoletana but they ran outta dough. Happily walked into Ribalta, got seated, and ordered meatballs and Brussels to start. Not a great start. Meatballs were decent, nothing to write home about. Brussel sprouts were soggy and didn't have a lot of flavour. All that being said, we know the reason to come is for the pizza, and it did not disappoint. I allowed server to help with selection, in which case he up charged with a 'build your own'. It was still delicious - but could have done without all the add-ons. For dessert we had mascarpone and YUM, that was amazing! Order it if you have the space in your belly! Dropped stars for the below average appetisers and upsell without knowledge of extra charges. Service - well, for 'Europe', pretty standard.

I heard how amazing the gf crust was here so I wanted to check it out. The gluten free crust was fluffy and I couldn't even tell it was gluten free. The vegan cheese was sticky but still pretty good. Both vegan cheese and gluten free crust are each $6 which is quite expensive. The ambience was interesting, I found the lighting too harsh and the tables were so long that I felt so far from my date. Overall I had a nice time though.
Got takeout - amazing tasty pizza, am looking forward to
Got takeout - amazing tasty pizza, am looking forward to trying their other pizzas soon.
Food was ok.
I had the chicken parm. Service was fine. But it was LOUD. We were there with a big group and had specifically asked whether the music would be too loud for us to talk. I couldn't even hear the person directly across from me.
best pizza in NYC.
Neapolitan style pizza, not NYC slice. So goo and authentic though.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Appointment
I was waiting on the transfer for name but it hasn’t happened yet and my reservation is tonight , will it be an issue that is hasn’t changed into my name yet
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Just got scammed!
Thats unfortunate but you can always get your money back if they cancel the reservation.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
