This restaurant with Michelin recognition is a gem in the center of Antwerp. Friendly welcome and very obliging and passionate staff of different nationalities. We enjoyed a delicious menu on the occasion of our friends' wedding. Super from start to finish, wrapped with delicious champagne and matching top wines. In short, this was an adventure with a bow around it. Extremely well-maintained sanitary facilities. Service professional, obliging and friendly from start to finish. Our favorite gastronomic restaurant in Antwerp
This restaurant in a small street somewhere around the Cathedral of Our Lady in Antwerp, led by chef Nathan Van Echelpoel and hostess and sommelier Eva Van de Peer. After a warm welcome, we enter a modern interior with dark tones and natural elements literally “brought into the light”. The room is further decorated with sober, classy works of art by local artists. It can be especially said about hostess and sommelier Eva Van de Peer that she is an alert and engaging personality. Eva takes care of the wine arrangement, a few special beers are always ready, but there is no specific “beer arrangement” and as for the juice arrangement, well, we are not really in favor of those healthy juices, but Eva convinced us to try this again. to try . She brings it with such a personal touch that we can even say that the juice arrangement was the best we have ever tasted. Really different than usual and above all suitable in terms of taste for every dish. With a limited capacity of 25 people, the atmosphere is always friendly. We start with three amuse-bouches: Langoustine tartare with flowers from the garden, as well as a tartelette with squid ink with smoked eel and beans. The combination of smoked and green tastes very different and good. Escargot petit gris with watercress puree and goat cheese espuma. The latter is a real taste bomb that we will enjoy for a long time This is followed by the first starter, namely sustainably caught tuna in Spain with horseradish, pickled cucumber, nori nashi pear and sorbet of wasabi and coriander oil. The full (healthy) fatty of the tuna with the fresh acidity of the finishes are a perfect match. Second starter is the Belgian white asparagus with butter and coffee oil, white asparagus puree, nut crumble, lovage, salmon tartare and salmon eggs and miso. Bitter and soft, again contrasts that keep the dish exciting. The juice has a spicy taste because of the grapefruit and the white wine from Italy and the grape is 100% cortese. Mineral and fresh, with a medium aftertaste. Third starter is the lobster tail with different structures of carrot and tonkatsu. Side dish is a lobster ravioli. Luxurious product presented in an artistic way. This with a German Moselle wine with a slightly sweet aftertaste and a passion fruit-based juice (again, just like with the previous starter) surpasses the wine. Then as a main course we get a pigeon from Poitou, truffle, rose of cooked pickled beetroot with a cream of smoked beetroot, crumble of cashew nuts and blackberry at the bottom. Side dish is a croquette panis with parmesan, chickpea and tandoori herbs. A mouth full of ingredients that are all in balance with each other, the beetroot not 'earthy' at all, but a soft taste compared to the spicy of the tandoori. Wine from the Loire with monovarietal Cabernet Franc with light tannins, but beautifully blended with the accents of red forest fruits. Juice of cherry, beetroot and apple, with an earthy undertone that fits perfectly with the pigeon. The pre-dessert is a literally and figuratively fresh intermezzo with grains of white chocolate and raspberry. The smoke coming from the ice-cold granules is a magical scene. This is followed by a dessert of strawberries from Hoogstraten, caramelized pistachio, white chocolate and puffed rice flavored with ginger, basil and olive oil. Healthy and delicious! Makes us dream of summer🌞 The last dessert is a tree of crispy chocolate, tonka espuma with an ice cream based on sezam sudachi. The juice is based on strawberry, alcohol-free limoncello, and a thyme infusion is the perfect addition to this complex multi-flavored dessert. With coffee there is a vanilla-based macaron, artisanal melo cake, millefeuille with banana cream and warm, fresh-from-the-oven madeleines. A sugary sweet ending, but who can resist this? The service is done alternately by each staff member, a nice system that allows everyone to come out of the kitchen to present a dish. The staff is multicultural (Lithuania, Scandinavian countries) and mostly speaks English. At the start of the experience you will be asked clearly whether this is a problem. The table next to us only spoke French, so the service was perfect in French. Allow approximately 4 hours for this 6-course menu, and you will pay 210 euros including matched wines 4 courses 137 euros including matched wines. (Always excluding aperitif and coffee) As already mentioned, this restaurant has a limited capacity of 25 people and making a reservation in time is an understatement. If I wanted to summarize this menu I would say local products in Scandinavian style and spiced with Eastern influences! Golden tip: If you reserve in time, you can request the chef's table: with a view of the kitchen and the eye-catcher of the restaurant, the illuminated bar in Italian designer marble.

The restaurant exuded a very pleasant atmosphere. The hostess was very friendly and made you feel right at home. The food was the best I have ever eaten, you eat all small dishes and surprise your last bite with an extra flavor. Short top experience
Smart, stylish restaurant with fabulous food
So many Michelin star restaurants in Antwerp and we chose this one. Glad we did. Very stylish and busy yet only small so still felt exclusive. Everything looked beautiful from the decor to the drinks to the food on our plates. Taste to match. Not rushed and we had a very enjoyable evening. Everyone was so lovely and welcoming to us whilst we were there. Definitely a stand out meal on a lovely trip to Antwerp
Wonderful food served with passion and a smile
We had dinner with our management team and partners (total of 22 people) and had the complete restaurant for ourselves. The atmosphere was relaxed, all personel was very approachable and very accommodatable. Everything was done with a passion for the customer and a friendly smile. And of course the food was top class, explosions of flavor in each bite. Nicely presented and perfect timing between 2 plates. All in all excellent food, made and served with passion.
Lunch in the heart of Antwerp.
We enjoyed the four-course menu with matching wines. Each course was briefly described by the service in a correct but not too stiff manner. The result on the plate is top notch in terms of presentation and taste experience.
Fresh and driven
We had the kingdom to ourselves with Nathan. But that has not prevented the kitchen staff from doing their utmost to put together a finely balanced menu for us. Paintings on the plate with always an eye for flavor intensity. Non-alcoholic drink pairing at a very high level. I give 4/5.

The nicest ever restaurant. Brilliant food. Memory is short but I do think this was the best food I have ever eaten. (Especially the scallop). Service is perfect. Timing between courses is very good. I have to return

I have expressed my praise for this restaurant several times and this was once again the case. Customer focus is paramount here and the result is always friendly service in addition to high-quality culinary pleasure on your plate. And yes, I will definitely come back here with pleasure; the reservation has been booked. Their version of mackerel is top notch, the cod melts in your mouth and the duck is a pleasure at the highest level to give just a few examples!!!!

It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
