The restaurant was very beautiful and upscale.
Tables were spread apart because no one likes hearing other people's conversations the whole time. Prices were fair for the quality and food portions. Ambience was intimate but also good for groups. Our server was Marissa S. Definitely the best waitress since she will go above and beyond for you. We were a group of 6 and we did family style with all of the dishes. She divided the food and made sure they were all equal portions. Definitely worth tipping her at least 20%. The food was all delicious and well cooked. We ordered meatballs, lobster diavolo, truffle mushroom lasagna, king crab linguine, slow roasted pork shank, monkfish piccata, bistecca alla florentine, brussel sprouts, and garlic mascarpone whipped potatoes. The complimentary bread was soft and warm. We celebrated a birthday so they gave us two complimentary desserts, lemon meringue and tiramisu. Btw I know people have given them low ratings because the salad wasn't good. Honestly, why order something that you can prepare at home when there are a lot better choices on the menu. It's like ordering a ham and cheese sandwich then saying it's terrible. -meatballs 5 - fully cooked, not raw. It's bigger than in the picture. Great quality meatball and I eat a lot of meatballs. -lobster diavolo 5 - good size pieces of lobster. Delicious dish overall. -truffle mushroom lasagna 5 - truffle smell/taste is noticeable. It complimented the mushroom lasagne. -king crab linguine 5 - king crab was not overcooked, it was just right. Linguine was soft and a little chew. -slow roasted pork shank 5 - shareable. Meat falls off easily. Tender and juicy. -monkfish piccata 5 - I love monkfish. Perfectly made. Very tasty. -bistecca alla florentine 5 - beautifully cooked medium rare. Use the salt and sauce they give you. -brussel sprouts 4 - nothing too exciting but it's nice to get more greens in. -garlic mascarpone whipped potatoes 5 - very flavorful and creamy. -lemon meringue 5 - lemon was very prominent in taste. It was good. -tiramisu 5 - you can really taste the coffee in here. It was very smooth.

My friends and I came for dinner and upon walking in I was greeted by the hostess who let me know one of my friends was waiting at the bar so I joined her as we waited on our 3rd. We both ordered the Pear of Aces at the bar and it was really tasty! For $20.72 after tax I would say on the pricey side but didn't really show it in its kick if you know what I mean so that was a disappointment. When our friend arrived we closed our tab at the bar and was seated in the main dining area. It was really nice in there - they had comfy benches and seats that were on the luxurious side. The lighting was just right and all the food coming out especially the Tommy Hawk being set on fire smelled amazing! We all ordered a Caesar salad that is served table side which was an awesome touch and man was it delicious! I honestly got full off of it haha that was $16. One friend ordered meatballs $22 as her dish because she also was full from the salad and she said they were great. She described them as moist. The other got the king crab pasta $68 in which see had to ask for added pepper and she mentioned not being the biggest fan of a "too lemoney" pasta and said it was a bit tangy to her taste. It was described as a lemon garlic butter pasta though. I ordered the Octopus Carpaccio $22 because I saw so many reviews on it. It was veryyy interesting!!! It's octupus thinly sliced on the bottom and garnished with crispy shallot, taggiasca olive aioli, & lemon. It was good and I am on a high protein, low carb diet so this was perfect for that. I wouldn't say it was the greatest thing ever but probably more of a shared appetizer than main dish. Overall nice experience and our waitress was very nice!

Top 5 places to grab drinks and hear live music! The food looks amazing but have not had a chance to try. The servers were good about checking in on us even though supposed to be bar service.
Be the first to ReplyThe food we ate was excellent.
The Caesar salad, truffle fries, and Brussels sprouts. Their homemade table side bread was delish. We sat in the bar area which was very lively with a live jazz band. The drinks were also very good. A glass of moscato and a ruby martini were decadent with our meal. Unfortunately the meatballs we ordered were raw. They were very visibly pink in the middle. We asked two different waiters if the meatballs were supposed to be pink in the middle. One said they think so. The other told us yes. One of the waiters offered us to take it back but we said no as long as it was supposed to be pink in the middle. However, as we cut into the third meatball it was clearly much more cooked than the other two we had cut into. We second guessed ourselves unfortunately and decided to pass on eating anymore as we were told they were made with pork and ground meat in general shouldn't be eaten raw. It's unfortunate as this place was gorgeous but I see in other reviews this restaurant has issues with cooking their meat. The menu is far too expensive to pay for a dish we couldn't eat a second time! We will not be going back.

I had the pleasure of celebrating a graduation dinner at Fioretta, an Italian restaurant nestled in the heart of Chicago, and it was nothing short of spectacular. This dining experience has now set the bar incredibly high, easily making it the best Italian food I've had in America. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance struck the perfect chord for our special occasion. The decor was tastefully elegant, blending classic Italian charm with a touch of modern sophistication, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that felt both intimate and festive. The service at Fioretta was impeccable. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave excellent recommendations that catered to our tastes and dietary preferences. Each course was served seamlessly, contributing to a smooth and delightful dining experience. Now, onto the star of the show - the food. Every dish that graced our table was a hit. Each recipe carried the authenticity of traditional Italian cuisine while presenting a creative twist that left us pleasantly surprised and thoroughly satisfied. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the presentation was visually appealing. Every bite was a testament to the chef's expertise and passion for Italian cooking. Fioretta is a gem that stands out in Chicago's competitive culinary scene. It is an ideal spot for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply indulge in a remarkable Italian meal. I cannot recommend it highly enough and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Sitting at the bar was enjoyable with live music. Drinks were delicious. We did have a reservation but still had to wait 20 minutes to get seated.

I try at least one new thing each visit but I always get the octopus and the truffle mushroom lasagna - amazing! Alex was our server this time and he was great but Harrison also had some surprises for us. The level of service here is special and I really love the live music in the bar. It's old school classy with modern twists on Italian favorites!
Be the first to ReplyWent here for a special occasion with my best friend and we
Went here for a special occasion with my best friend and we had a lovely time! We sat in the bar area and had drinks, shared a steak, and several apps and sides. The service was attentive and friendly but a bit disjointed and odd. Like we had to remind people several times of allergies, for example. It didn't seem like they were communicating well across our ticket. The food was overall very good. We really enjoyed the sides (mushrooms and mashed potatoes in particular). The shrimp was, I thought, overcooked but tasty. The steak was not sliced which is kind of unusual when you know it's being shared but it was very good. The cocktails we had were excellent and the wine selection was very nice. Ambience is pretty nice, it's a cute space. I think that just based on the restaurants own messaging I expected a more creative concept as a variation on the typical steakhouse, but to me this was very typical steakhouse vibes and especially the menu. That's not bad! It was delicious. A little different than what I expected and I think there's space to be a bit more creative with the menu in particular. In general it's very solid and I'm glad we went.
Be the first to Replythe worst service we ever faced.
this place not only ruined our bday dinner, it also just made us not want to stay there anymore. we were taking pictures with flash light with cake because it was a bday. the guy wearing blue suit (i think it was a manager) a disrespectful man. comes and rudely tells us that we cant take pictures with flash light.. WHAT? the fact you guys have pictures of ppl on ur instagram feed full of pictures made with flash light .. wtf you talking about? and who you guys are after ruining our dinner... worked in customer service for more then 5 years and never let myself be that rude to ppl especially on their bday. its 2024. we allowed to take pictures of the food we bought grew up.
Be the first to ReplyCelebrated matching into residency at Fioretta.
The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, it's dark and mysterious with live music in the front bar area. The restaurant is split up into separate areas and we were placed in a room behind the bar area where we couldn't hear the live music at all, major bummer. I would have preferred to be seated on the left side of the bar, in a larger more opulent room. The hostess was very friendly and kind, she asked us if we were celebrating anything and we shared that we were (although I had written out the reason for our celebration previously on the reservation). The drinks were good but nothing to write home about. I loved the bread service with olives and olive oil. The Caesar salad was very flavorful and rich, highly recommend. Our steak was decent, the garlic served on the side helped to elevate the flavor. The vodka pasta was good but not quite worth the price. Our server was very nice but went into LONG detailed descriptions of the menu and food where I ended up just nodding my head for 5 min even though we had already decided on what we wanted to eat by that point. I feel like overall, the food was good but not worth the four dollar sign price tag associated. I don't really think I would come back for dinner anytime soon, but I would consider sitting in the bar area for a drink and to listen to some live music.
