Brunelleschi's Aspen Reviews from The Last Year
Solid pasta and big portions.
Reasonably priced for the location. We sat in the bar area, which felt like a regular dining area with high-top tables. It was quick service too.
The perfect place to eat and warm up while the snow falls.
The service was fast and friendly. But if you want a REAL taste of Italy get an espresso or a latte with a cannoli. Amazing!
The best value for the money so far in Aspen.
The restaurant is nice, kind of mid-scale with good waiters and good food. The seafood risotto was excellent and had a subtle smoky taste and lots of mussels, calamari and shrimp. The lasagna was very tasty and just the right serving size (and we still took some In a to go box). The margaritas were delicious and we watched the NCAA M tournament while we dined. Excellent service and a nice atmosphere. I would go back!
It was packed for President's Day weekend.
The owner personally sat us and took our order with a smile. He had us in and out quickly, so my daughter wouldn't miss her Dance Aspen performance at the Wheeler. He even hand stuffed the olives for my WCD martini making the experience that much better for this mom:) before entering Brunelleschi's we went to 2 other establishments that just dismissed us. The food was amazing, the service was spectacular, and we can't wait to go back! It's the perfect spot for locals, like us, and visitors in Aspen. Absolutely fell in love with this restaurant all over again!
Strange service
We got served the wrong item for one of the dishes, and we said it would be OK if we kept it, instead of asking them to go and make the correct dish. We had no idea we'd be expected to pay the higher price for agreeing to this, and thought we were doing them a favor, saving them from having to throw the dish away. Apparently, they would normally just take the dish back and save it for another customer. Waitress was extremely reluctant to not charge the higher price. The automatic 20% tip on the bill is insulting, especially when they have prominent space for a tip on the bill, with no mention of the large automatic tip already there.

Ivan was a great sever - so nice and funny will be back! He was so friendly, on top of everything and handling a lot!
Food was amazing, espresso martini was great.
Pizza is unbelievable. Definitely stop here if you have a chance
A rip off of a place
A total rip-off. We order a basic pizza $19.5 with three $2 each toppings. The onion topping you had to struggle to find it on the pizza. The pizza is very thin crust and barely 10 in in diameter. Total price for this tiny thin pizza $25.50. Had a draft beer ($8) on top of that for a total $33.5 before taxes and tip. Service left much to be desired and the restroom had a non working toilet with a sign : be gentle with the handle, but gentle or not gentle it didn’t work. Terrible experience
Stop here for a great lunch
Great service even when short on staff. Went for a light lunch and was perfect. The upstairs view was so pretty too! Try the bruschetta, was so good!
Worse pizza ever.
Low quality meat and cheese. I'd look for another option if you want Italian. Waitress was nice thi
Aspen is very hip and happening all year round.
The summer months are gorgeous so this restaurant is very busy if you are looking to sit at the outside tables. We didn't have a reservation so we. sat inside. The ambience inside doesn't exist unfortunately. It's old and outdated. The service was good. The pizza is paper thin and lacks a crust. For thin pizza lovers this pie is for you! The burnt cheese is the "crust". Pasta was good and authentic. Salad was really good too.
Unflavored food and Bad service
Tasteless and even worst service !!! We had to sit our self after waiting in the door for someone to great us. Calamari was not well cooked, chewy and with no flavor. The order of bread was plain. When they brought the plates (to share the calamari and bread) they only brought for half of the group, we had to ask for more . The only time the server came was to ask if we had any empty plates, seemed like they did not have enough. The pizza tasted like frozen dough just cooked with the ingredients. Very thin and small, personal size to say the most. The soft drinks did not have gas, our glasses were empty and the server was no wear to be found. Very small size glasses we finished them fast and to our surprise the refill was not included like it usually is . Not the best experience.
Went for lunch and sat at the bar.
Super chill. Great food. Less hectic than the other talked up restaurants
