APT 4B Atlanta Reviews from The Last Year
Very good food.
But the parking and the added fees to my bill didn't leave a good impression on me. I ended up parking in the parking deck up the hill, because it seemed silly to pay someone for self-parking. We were seated promptly (at a wobbly table) and we ordered some appetizers. It took about 20-30 minutes for appetizers which was a bit odd, but my cousin and friend enjoyed the lamb chops and the shrimp. We ordered cocktails and I ordered the lemon drop with Tito's vodka. I also went ahead and ordered the jerk chicken for dinner. The lemon drop was good but not great. A little tart. But the jerked chicken, WOW!! So good, savory, and spicy. It was falling off the bone! I was disappointed that it was just rice with no peas but the jasmine rice was steamed nicely and added an interesting flavor. The cabbage was delicious and crispy. When we got our bills, things got a little odd. There is a 7% credit card processing fee, on top of automatic 20% gratuity (there was only 3 of us). So you will without question spend $100 per person, at a minimum, once you consider parking and all of these fees. Oh, an up charge for Tito's vodka. Go figure. I likely won't be back because of the hassle but people from out of town like to come here.
I'm just really upset the oxtail pasta is gone.
... Replaced with chicken or shrimp Alfredo you can literally get anywhere. WHY?!?!
Generally speaking, this is your typical Atlanta restaurant.
You might drive right past it, parking will annoy you, expect high prices, lots of people and all the other typical things we deal with. Down to the specifics....surprisingly I do like this place. Mainly for two reasons: 90s RnB and good food. Idk if they have the same DJ every night or they always play this type of music but I live for 90s RnB and this was 90% of the playlist last night so I was in my zone. The food is GOOD! I only ordered the jerk chicken which comes with rice and beans and cabbage. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Another person ordered the oxtail, seafood curry and Turkey wings. Everything looked delicious and everyone enjoyed their food. We barely spoke while we were eating so you know it was good. Our waiter was amazing! Great personality, attentive, friendly, hilarious and all around provided excellent customer service. He really added to the positive experience. Things I didn't like... $15 valet only parking. One of the things I hate about Atlanta. They wouldn't seat us until everyone in our party arrived. We were only waiting for 1 person. Eventually they allowed us to sit because we were waiting for 30 minutes but I don't like when restaurants do this. Gratuity is added. I'm not a fan of this but I would've given a good tip anyway because our waiter was great. They charge you a credit card processing fee. Idk what to say about this but it's BS. If you're celebrating anything and bring in your own cake, they charge you $25. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard and just bad customer service imo. The drinks are way too expensive to taste like juice. I didn't taste a drop of Henny and didn't feel anything. The food is good, but honestly it is wayyyy overpriced. I am a foodie and one thing I'll splurge on is food but this is too expensive imo. But overpriced meals at restaurants is another thing that is common is Atlanta. Overall this place isn't bad. This would be a fun spot for ladies night out or brunch. I wouldn't mind returning but it wouldn't be a regular spot for me.

Overall I had a positive experience here! Made a reservation easily online for 4. Day of we pulled in and valeted for $15. We were on time and sat right away. The inside is really pretty with good music. Our server was nice and told us specials but after didn't order any cocktails or appetizers she seemed less interested in us (no water refills, 1 check in during the meal) but thankfully we didn't have any complaints. The food came out hot and didn't take too long. I got the jerk chicken entree and it was tasty and a huge portion size. Overall I wouldn't rush back but if someone invited me I'd come back.
5 stars
We were here for a 2 day visit to Atlanta and found this place to have a nice date. They had live music which added to an amazing vibe already. The food was plentiful and absolute delicious. Great place for a date or to impress. Highly reccomend
Great food good Service highly recommend!! Ambiance superb!
Great food good Service highly recommend!! Ambiance superb! They had live music and parking was easy.
This was a nice little vibe and the food was good .
They had music going , i believe a actual dj was there but i couldn't really see but the music was good and we had a great waiter we had Maurice he was so chill and very helpful he pretty much recommended us what to try and suggested a tasteful drink based on what i was looking for kudos to him thanks again we really enjoyed ourselves and I'll definitely be back specially because they were not stingy on the drinks, plus they had a cute little swing outside to capture a nice picture of you would like . I'll definitely be back
You'll love the food and the ambience.
They have a speak easy downstairs in the restaurant. I will definitely be back
Came in solo and sat at the bar.
This is a pretty cool spot. The parking is slightly a headache but they do have valet which I did not use and parked my own car around the backside. When I walked in DJ was playing some nice tunes. The volume was reasonable and I was able to have a conversation with those sitting around me at the bar. In front of the DJ booth is a shelf of records apparently the DJ uses as well to spend. I thought this was neat. The service was decent and the staff was pleasant. One of the servers from the tables suggested to me the oxtail sandwich and I'm glad I went with it because it was mad good! The bread was light and buttery and the oxtails tender. I would definitely come back and try some other things on the menu next time I'm in town.
This was my second and last time here.
You can see on my receipt what I had (my new receipt had the cabbage deducted because I never got it). The food was good but definitely overpriced, the vibe and ambiance was cool, and our server was cool also. Reason's why I will not return is first the credit card processing fee that I know was not there the first time, and it's a ridiculous fee to charge your customers when that's the cost of doing business. Food is over priced, and you spend $15 for valet before you even get in the door.

Food was OK but I struggled to understand why a mandatory 20% tip plus a credit card processing fee were added to my check!! And it was a takeout order. Why do you do this? If you are going to enforce gratuity, then let your service match the fee!!! It's not that flipping difficult. My first and last time for sure.

Jordan C was our server and made our experience! Easily some of the best service I've had in Atlanta in a LONG time. Shout out to him. Outside of that this place is really cool and vibey. The ambiance helps curate the experience and the food and drinks are delicious! The jerk chicken was so good! A little spicy but really flavorful. The curry and roti were also delicious as well!
The ambiance is good.
The food was a bit pricey for the quality and portions. I ordered cornbread, ribs, and rice and peas. I also ordered oxtail gravy on my rice. They brought out about 3 tablespoons of gravy in a small ramekin. It wasn't enough so I requested more. The bill showed they charged us $8 ($2 per 3 tablespoons of gravy). While I think it's distasteful to charge for a condiment or accompaniment if you will, I think the server should have informed us that it was an extra charge. What was even more frustrating was the gravy was lacking a bit of flavor as were the rice and beans. They were out of so many things. I was disappointed with this visit.

First things first Oxtails we're hard had to eat with a fork and knife and if you know about oxtails you know they were not tender but HARD. They charge a credit card processing fee of close to $5 , because clearly this is all about squeezing a buck out of every transaction. Then they tell you well Amex fees are increasing. Even though I'm not using an amex card. 20% automatic gratuity Small portions. Bland food. Credit card processing fees. 20% automatic gratuity. Find a better caribe as restaurant in Atlanta this one isn't it.
Biased staff
Dont come here, if you’re not a “celebrity.” They will treat you like crap! I was treated poorly and brushed to the side because I wasnt a Real housewives cast member ! My reservation was at the same time as someone else on TV. I arrived before this person that is on TV and was lied to and made to wait while the person on TV was accommodated FIRST. My friends watched this with our own eyes as a black owned restaurant treated hard working black customers this way because we werent on tv. Disgusting The host and the manager CLIVE were thee absolute worst human beings to be put in a people facing position. In particular Clive, has absolutely no mannetsy, no customer service experience, smug, condescending and very unaccommodating.! Actually, the worst customer service ever. If it wasn’t a celebration and Saturday evening we would have went somewhere else! Save your blood pressure and go somewhere else!
Delicious
The food was vary flavorful. I had the turkey wings and the oxtail pasta. I wish there was more oxtail that came with the pasta but other than that it was a pleasant experience. The turkey wings were crispy on the outside and tender inside.
More 4b for me
Everything was delicious. I went for brunch. I can't wait to return for dinner. I had Plantain Beignets as an appetizer. I don't know why we've been doing anything else with plantains. They were so fluffy, warm and lightly sweet. My main was shrimp Lobster and grits. The sauce in this is soo good. Finally, because I like bacon... I had the bacon and it was the perfect close to a great meal. The crunchy stickiness is just right. I'll be back to work my way through the menu.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
