I love a good roadside pit stop and I'm so glad I ran
I love a good roadside pit stop and I'm so glad I ran across this place on Yelp when searching for fry bread. It really a no frills set-up where you simply decide what toppings you want on your fry bread, pay the $5, and wait a few minutes. I was the only patron at the time so it didn't take long at all but I used the time to just take in the scenery and be in the moment. The fry bread was great and will be a definite stop on my way to/from Sedona for future trips.

Delicious, homemade flybread right before the entrance to Montezuma Castle. Super friendly, family owned stand with beautiful handmade jewelry, dream catchers, and other souvenirs. Cash only!

Its really barebones but it's fun by a super friendly husband and wife. They were out of the taco Frybread so we just ordered the salt one. It was a good road trip pit stop and I definitely suggest stopping by if you want to try some authentic Frybread.

We tried the Indian taco ($10) and fry bread with cinnamon sugar ($5). Both were very good and filling. The gentleman who prepares the food is very entertaining, cracking jokes and chatting with patrons while he cooks. "Mama" sells the art pieces. I bought a pretty sand painting as a souvenir of our trip to Sedona.

..frybread! The price is now $5 (cash only)If you have the appetite, I suggest one sweet and one with salt. So good!

Beautiful jewelry as well. All the flavor are delicious and you can even combine flavors. So good and would definitely love to come again.
Be the first to ReplyMitchell is the proprietor of this authentic Indian Fry
Mitchell is the proprietor of this authentic Indian Fry Bread stand and he's a military veteran (thank you for your service Sir!) and funny as heck! I didn't get to meet the wife because, as Mitchell kept saying rather loudly, "She's sleeping in the truck!" Sadly, no Indian jewelry for me that day!My friend Sandy & I were exiting off the road after a visit to Montezuma's Castle on a Saturday and the stand was up and running (I don't think it was open in the morning in our way in). I was very excited since I'd done my research, via Yelp, and I knew this place existed!!!It was Sandy's first Indian Fry Bread experience and so we went all out and ordered both a taco with everything and a dessert to share! So, so yummy!Thank you to Mitchell for the great food and I hope to meet his wife the next time I'm out this way! Totally worth your time and money to stop here- CASH ONLY!

Make sure you go Saturday or Sunday if you want Beans & Cheese or Navajo Tacos. I would go again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat snack after visiting Montezuma Castle Monument.
Tried the cinnamon sugar and also the savory salt version. Both equally yummy. Great conversation with the vendor while the fry breads cooked. The taco version is only available on weekends.

Authentic frybread! We were leaving Montezumas Well and we were just discussing hunger levels when we spotted the half-haphazardly put up stand with the big sign for FRYBREAD. John turned the corner and pulled into the lot. There was a group of seasoned ladies ahead of us all waiting for their order and before long we were ordering. Cinnamon sugar topped frybread! The owner was hilarious - I asked what an Indian Taco was (advertised on his sign) and he replied "a taco- made by me" lol~ really is was a taco on frybread, but I love someone who can make me laugh. Banter was fun- we chatted as he cooked. The frybread was delicious! So much so- I went back for his bean and cheese frybread. Good gracious- that was really good. He does blend some ground beef into the beans- so it is not vegan/vegetarian friendly, but I'm all about the beef- so I was perfectly happy! For a little side of the road stand- he is on Google Maps, Trip Advisor and Yelp!!! Hardly any cell service- I got to check in as we were leaving! He is literally across the street from the casino. Enjoy the food and conversation!
Be the first to ReplyMy family of 5 ordered all the different kinds of fry bread.
The owner was very nice and the frybread was so good that after we drove off, we came back for seconds and he was kind enough to offer us 2 complimentary frybreads he had made to post on social media. Great place to check out if you are in the area!
Be the first to ReplyGreat fry bread and even better jokes to go with it.

Excellent! Hot and made to order! Honey is sticky, crispy and sweet. Salt was the perfect balance for a more savory treat.

I've always read about fry bread, but never knew how to make it or where to find it. Came across this place at the entrance to Montezuma Castle and got a honey fry bread. It was super delicious and did not disappoint. The jewelry sold at the stand is beautiful as well. I absolutely recommend this place.

My family stopped here because my daughters are in love with the children's book "Fry Bread." The owner was SO nice & funny, and the Fry bread was delicious. We got powdered sugar. Many enthusiastic sugar-covered thumbs up!

We stopped by this stand on our way back from Montezuma Castle. The cook is very friendly. They have salt, honey, cinnamon sugar, and powdered sugar toppings. We tried a half cinnamon sugar/half salt piece of bread. It's a great snack!
