Japanese & Thai food in Mississauga Ontario
Very good Japanese and Thai food. Service is good. Good wine choice too. It has Ala Carte menu as well as fixed rate menu for all you can eat.
Be the first to ReplyUsed to be good, now its very very bad
I used to come here all the time before the covid years but a few friends of mine have gone recently and said it went downhill. I had to find out myself, and after going tonight i have to agree completely. Its very very poor, dont even know how it became this bad. Food doesnt even taste authentic and good anymore. They served us cold beef which i had to take back 2 times. Very very bad all over, but it was busy which i have no idea why or how it is. Anyways, if youre thinking of going here, probably find another alternative place. Youll most likely be let down

We odered in and it was not good, when we opened the container it smelled like fish. Not worth the money.
Be the first to ReplyAvoid this place and eat elsewhere
Ordered sashimi/sushi party tray and tempura takeout. Once got home, there is no soy sauce and no wasabi at all. The tempura sauce was like water and tasteless. Called them back and they said we live too far so be it. Raw fish was not fresh and the veggie tempura was like soggy french fries. First time and last time there. If you want real Jap food, spend a bit more and go order/eat at a real Jap restaurant instead. Most of the takeout went into the garbage bin at the end. Horrible place.

Well had to give this spot a try when realised they have a location in Niagara too. This convenient location is relatively close (*) to the outlet mall, with parking. Atmosphere is clean and fresh/new (*) Modern and elegant. Current prices meant ensuring stomachs had the capacity to fill. So worked up an appetite beforehand. How very novel having the robots deliver the food to the table (*) Sometimes a server would be close by to pick off and place on table. Other times, when busy, diners need to do this themselves. What we witnessed were people taking other people’s orders. A little annoying as we were patient but ended up asking a server (*) to double check on a couple of items. Didn’t want to re-order them in case it was just busy and still on the way. The instructions mentioned at the start by our head server - special mention (*) as recognised him from a different restaurant he worked at S&F- ‘Take only the items on the level with the BLUE LIGHT’ Removing (*) for prices. Actually they are fair for this category of AYCE, given the current economy.
Be the first to ReplyRacist Place
Racist spot!!!! It was a group of us celebrating a wedding and we thought this place wouldn’t disappoint. Well I was told on arrival I couldn’t bring my baby stroller in- so obviously it’s not a place suited for families. But since I know my right as I work with the government I know once the stroller wasn’t a hazard we we fine. We folded it up and all was good. We were there for two hours and not once our waiter came to do a courtesy check. Second when it was time to leave and we were waiting for the bill in the lobby area- my husband decided to take baby out of the car seat so she can stretch her legs before the ride home. It was time to pay so I went to get him- however behind me was the waiter who thought we were leaving without paying. Keep in mind the rest of the wedding party was still in the lobby. Then he continued to give up attitude about how we wanted to split the bill. I told him it was impossible to answer his question without knowing the amount first. He finally brought it; we paid and didn’t leave him a dime. So sad cause he would have gotten a great time as we were a group. Will not recommend this place and will never go back.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional Dining Experience
What a way to dine and try so many different dishes. Flavourful sauces, perfectly cooked meats and veggies. Fun to order via iPad and watch the robots deliver your orders. They are accompanied by lovely serving staff. In addition a chef came out and went from table to table to offer tastes of skewered chicken in teriyaki sauce. The menu is vast and there is something (many things actually) there for everyone. You can choose to order specific dishes or the all you can eat approach. These dishes tend to be smaller but you can order as many as you like. It is a great way to sample new things. To my surprise I found many new dishes that I would enjoy again. The ambiance is upscale and welcoming. Dining areas are nicely broken up so that it is also cozy. Regrettably I didn’t get pictures as there were so many different dishes and the food just kept coming. A fun and delicious way to dine.
Be the first to ReplyQuality ? or Service ?
Like most Sushi restaurants, we go for the quality and the variety of food, but do not expect to receive any more than 2 stars service, although they charge a 5 stars prices. However the ambiance is really nice and luxurious, and the most funny part that you are served by both humans and real robots.. however some humans act as robots as well. If any one can find a sushi restaurant where they smile to you, treat you nicely and don't throw the food on your table, then please name it to me, instead of receiving the free soup from shelters service.
Be the first to ReplyIt used to be so much better...
On a recent take-out order, the food was disappointingly bland and quite average. Also, not much like true Japanese or Thai cuisine. It does have a nice ambiance inside and is a better option for quality of meat than other Chinese, err... I mean "Thai" places nearby.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous Food and Service
We have been to The Wind many times and enjoyed each occasion - food, service and atmosphere and of course the robots who deliver the food to the tables. Compared to other restaurants, we have found Wind very safe during this pandemic, following health protocols and making sure their guests feel relaxed and comfortable. The partitions between each table also give a sense of privacy which is nice. We would definitely recommend going to this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyHorrible front desk service and poor menu options
Made a reservation for a patio table. When we got there the receptionist said: "no table available". I mentioned the reservation, and he just pointed inside and said: "don't you see we are busy! does not matter you made a reservation". I did not leave, just because I was waiting for other family members to arrive. After a lot of discussions, we got a table inside the way we required. The service inside was good. I missed: red tuna, tobiko, and fried banana (dessert). I will definitely do not come back. I would prefer August 8 instead.
Be the first to ReplyGreat good and best restaurant.

We get sushi and sashimi from them once a week. Consistent taste and quality. I would highly recommend.

I ordered at 330 for pick up at 7pm waited 30 mins to find out it wont be ready till 8pm they havent even started my order.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, great service, lovely ambience!
I have ordered take-out a few times but have also dined in. The food never disappoints. My favourite order is the spicy basil shrimp with their spicy basil fried rice. Whatever the order, I have to say the chef is amazing! The standard is high. Quality service and delicious food. It ticks all the boxes for me!

Be the first to ReplyFlies Flies Flies
This restaurant has been our favorite restaurant in Mississauga for past few years. Tonight we were swarmed with fruit flies on our food and our table. We looked at the other tables and there were plenty of the same fruit flies. We pointed this out to the waitress, who apologized, but we did not see her talk to the manager after our talk. I got the impression that manager on duty is probably aware of the problem. I hope this problem is resolved, because we both love this restaurant and would hate to think this is not a anomaly. Someone working there probably screwed up and did not remember to throw out the trash. The fact that there were flies all over our table and tables adjoining ours lead me to believe that kitchen is probably in no better condition. I hope we do not get sick from dining here. I hope things get better at the Wind, as it has been a good restaurant over the years.
