Great food, Great Service
Recommended to us by a friend back at home in the UK, did not disappoint! gorgeous food, generous portions and lovely wait staff. Thank you!

The entrance may be decorated with festoons of flowers around the door. All looked very impressive from the outside as did the welcome area of the entrance. However our experience of this restaurant failed to please. Our table had a paper tablecloth , always a bad sign . Our food arrived very quickly after ordering. My ravioli was cold in the middle. I sent it back and it must have been put through the microwave as pasta was hard. No bread was offered. The maitre d was informed that this booking was to celebrate two birthdays. However nothing become if it and there was no mention of the birthdays from the somewhat pushy waiter who was determined we chose a dessert. We didn’t. And we will not be returning.

I have to pay special tribute to Jonathan one of the managers who went above and beyond any expectations we could have had to provide a most gratifying dining experience The food was as usual wonderful and the service was excellent. However, Jonathan made this family outing memorable and special and for that we are grateful and look forward to our next meal.
Be the first to ReplyAnother Great Place for Dinner Before Carnegie Hall
Sister restaurant to Red Eye Grill and Fiorellos. All three are excellent. Have been to the Trattorria three times. I have never had a bad meal in any of these three.
Be the first to ReplyLovely Italian spot near Carnegie Hall
We’ve been coming here for years and the food, service & ambience remain consistently good. Classic dishes (definitely try the “white”pizza) and an amazing vegetarian bar that anyone would like. Walking to theaters and Central Park.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, authentically Italian.
This was a marvelous experience. The food is excellent as is the wine list. The service is first class. Vegetation and vegan options are plentiful and delicious.

This is a regular stop for me whenever I visit New York City. I’ve never been disappointed here. The food is always delicious and the service is outstanding. This is a great all around restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyFamily Review of tourists in NYC and very pleased!
There is a lot of information of reviews. And more photos. My family of 4 (2 teenagers) had great meals here. We order $35 plates each and my wife and I had drinks. Total bill with deserts and a tip $260. Well worth it. Food is excellent, servers are fun, and the drinks perfect. Just be aware, it is a big restaurant, and they are attentive to get you served and open the table. I rated this place a 5 for value. Why? NYC is expensive and we paid less at some restaurants but nowhere near the quality.
Be the first to ReplyNOT vegan or Dairy Free friendly.
Had thanksgiving dinner with our extended family today at Trattoria Dell'Arte in NYC. Having a choice between ordering off the menu or having the thanksgiving prefix was very nice, and the prefix was very good. The issue was with options for a dairy free (DF) member of our party. Their profile says that they are vegan friendly and they are not. They do have vegetarian options which are full of cheese which leaves vegans or DF guests stuck with just vegetables or kids pasta. My daughter said the the kids pasta at Olive Garden was way more flavorful than theirs. Our waiter said that DF is difficult at an Italian restaurant but plenty of places do a great job of this. It’s simply laziness and lack of creativity to serve vegans and DF diners so poorly.
Be the first to ReplyOMG the best pasta since I left home
I had the best pasta at this restaurant - fennel sausage and pesto - it was delicious. Perfect portion. The ambience was great and the staff were excellent.
Be the first to ReplyVery good food, ruined by rude ad unapologetic service
I did takeout and after receiving an alert from Grubhub that my order was ready to be picked up, I walked over to the restaurant. As soon as I got there and told the host I was ready to pick my order up, he quickly brushed me off and told me it’s not ready. I had to wait for another 15 minutes, which was ridiculous. Not sure whether it’s the app or the restaurant’s fault, but the host definitely could have been nicer about it. He never checked in to update me on the process while I was awkwardly standing there, never offered me a seat. Did not apologize once for the inconvenience. I spoke to another manager about this and he was slightly more pleasant to deal with, but he also did not apologize.
The food was actually good. I really liked their meatballs and zucchini Parmesan, though the spaghetti was way too al dente, practically undercooked. It’s a shame their service is so bad because otherwise this place could have become one of my neighborhood spots. If I patronize this place again, I will definitely be doing delivery. Do not want to interact with their staff again.
11/10
outstanding service, very friendly personal, unbelievable fair price for what you get, best pizza i ever ate (pizza with meatballs), got fresh baked cookies for free (two times)(very yummy)
Be the first to ReplyVery mediocre - disappointed for the price
First time in NYC and a recommendation from our hotel. Restaurant looks nice from the outside, but needs some renovation inside. Service was friendly, efficient and actually very good.
The food was the biggest letdown. We choose two of the house speciality entrees. Burrata pasta and Lasagna…101 layers of lasagna was cold and had to be sent back to be warmed up to temp. That created experiences of the dish being very pre-made or frozen and certainly not fresh. Flavor was bland and nothing special. More of a gimmick than a well executed chef driven entree.
Burrata stuffed pasta was better than the lasagna but definitely not what was expected. The Burrata on top was ice cold…what’s going on with the cold food? Disappointed
Cannoli dessert was the one bright spot. Excellent, taste, texture and a great blueberry sauce. If only the other items were this well prepared.
For a traditional Italian restaurant this is only a notch above Olive Garden and not remotely close to the $150 bucks paid for dinner.
Very disappointed and won’t go back
Perfect for Before-Theater Dinner
We had tickets for a 7:30 pm show of Dear Evan Hansen, which was a short walk from this restaurant. So we decided to give it a try, making a reservation for 5:45 pm. I felt like a senior citizen, going to the early bird special...ha ha...but boy, was I wrong. The place was lively and full even at that hour, and had a great crowd. Our waiter was fantastic---attentive but not hovering. I very much enjoyed my Veal Piccata, and my husband had the Osso Bucco. I was worried about trying to squeeze in a dinner before the show, but the pace of service was perfect and we felt relaxed...even had time for dessert. Our show was at the Music Box Theater, but if you have tickets to Carnegie Hall, this place is even more convenient. Literally, across the street. I would definitely go back! As with all NYC establishments, be prepared to show proof of vaccination and your identification. The NYC Covid Safe app is a great way to have these items uploaded and ready.
Be the first to ReplyGo for the Chicken Parm and Veal Parm!
This restaurant is a midtown gem. Friendly, attentive service. Order the chicken parm or veal parm with or without pepperoni. You will get a giant, plate-sized portion that's pounded thin, perfectly breaded and fried with extra dollops of burratta on top. The cracker-thin crust pizza is also delicious. Gluten free cannoli for dessert were unexpectedly good- the shell is thin and crispy like caramel. The decor can appear dated but it's lot of fun, colorful art to enjoy - especially all the noses! Will definitely return!
Be the first to ReplyAwesome Tiramisu, Pasta and Service
This is the perfect restaurant before a concert at Carnegie Hall or a Broadway play.
We were promptly seated after we checked in with the manager and greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable waiter Anis who gave us good recommendations. We all enjoyed our selections, especially the pastas. Great desserts. Our favorite was the Tiramisu. All thanks to Anis and the manager Jusuf, our dining experience before a Carnegie Hall concert was most enjoyable. No wonder they were consistently recommended by our hotel concierge over the years.
Cute Space, Just Okay Food
Cute, little Italian spot right down from our hotel. Was seated quickly, but didn't get any service for about 10ish minutes. Hated that our water glasses were tiny & it seemed like I was constantly out of something to drink. Garlic loaf & caesar salad were great but entree was just not that great. Seafood parpadelle was just too fishy to me & the sauce really had zero taste. Friend had the ravioli & loved it.
