It's not the first time we've stopped at Irma's, this time we didn't have lunch at the restaurant, we had little time, we had the Schiacciata with various cured meats and a platter of pecorino cheese, all excellent when we pass by here, an obligatory stop

REPETITION RUINS EVERYTHING
I went to the restaurant several times to evaluate several dishes on the menu overall and therefore diversify the enjoyment of the palate. I have eaten better meats, being a businessman and regularly traveling the world, but overall it was okay. Unfortunately the location is clearly out of the way and especially in a dinner context, they are very dark streets to navigate at those times. In any case, the main problem in my opinion is the excessive traceability of the meat and the owner's obsessive desire to display his merchandise in such a romantic way. Having gone 6/7 times over the course of 5 months, I was able to notice that every single time before consuming one's meat ration, one had to listen to the usual story about the origin of the cows and in the first 2/3 times even a further waste of time looking at delivery notes and various assorted documents, which are also difficult to understand if you are not in the catering/breeding sector. To conclude, I believe it is egocentric and excessively self-congratulatory to reiterate this modus operandi of "product display" in the event that the same customers return a second time or more. Hearing the same things is undoubtedly tiring every time and I see no reason to question the quality of the products, without the need to continue to underline the uniqueness and rarity of the raw material in question. Even if people don't show it, boredom is one instant and silent reaction, which can compromise the tasting experience and, even more seriously, make the customer uncomfortable, who in this case is always right.
An unforgettable "chianina".
I hadn't been there since last year and going back was a great pleasure. Apart from the unforgettable Florentine steak, this time too I had the opportunity to taste parts of the animal that I never, ever thought could be eaten, such as the "abomasum" or the "diaphragm", absolutely delicious. The "marathon" lasted five hours, washed down with excellent 2019 Merlot, Shyraz and Bolgheri; the price was absolutely correct in relation to how much I ate. Sincere congratulations!! Roberto55
MEAT TONIGHT
A show, a culinary experience that I can't wait to repeat. A small place with more or less twenty seats: very cute and where it is inevitable to make friends among diners. The welcome was impeccable, we were pampered from start to finish... the dinner cannot be explained... you have to try it... it must be experienced because Mr Alberto and all his staff accompany you throughout a journey of indescribable flavours. We have NEVER eaten such a delicate, tasty product (and without using sauces that were not simple olive oil), A PRODUCT OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. Equally excellent wine. I thank Mr. Alberto and all the "Da Irma" staff for this experience where you transmitted to us, in an excellent way, all your passion for your work. We will definitely be back!!!!!
Experience from Irma
My dad and I went for lunch on Christmas Eve. If I had to describe this lunch I would say that it is an experience. The owner and his family guide you to discover the REAL Chianina and the various cuts of meat, accompanying everything with excellent Tuscan food. The only thing you need to know when you venture into this restaurant is that there is no real menu, as all the courses are chosen by the owner based on the products of the day... and that's fine! Special mention to the lady's giardiniera and the ice cream with oil. I will definitely be back!
Unique experience
A food and wine journey to discover Chianina meat, in all its cuts and parts. Different flavors and textures that cannot leave you indifferent. A restaurant that carries forward a philosophy, I imagine with a thousand difficulties, a way of thinking in contrast with globalization and the nutrition of multinationals. We always come back very willingly. Thank you.
Amazed is the right word
Unquestionable product quality.. the wait for each dish implies a non-preset preparation of the same.. presentation of the product observable as it is proposed directly to the customer before service.. excellent service enriched by an accurate presentation by the staff. It can be said that this place offers a new and immersive experience of quality meats. Try it to believe it 🤤
Phenomenal dinner with friends
It's not the first time I've gone to dinner with friends at this fantastic restaurant. The owner, his mother and his partner prepare meat-based delicacies, finishing with the Florentine Chianina. All dishes are carefully described by the owner himself who learned to cook in Tuscany as a young man. We will return as soon as possible. You are amazing keep it up 😉❤️
