Interesting concept, but not quite there yet.
I was SO excited to come here, being a Sommelier and having an opportunity to navigate your own tasting is a rare experience. Sadly, it was not all I was hoping for, and not all itโs cracked up to be. I tasted 12 wines and 3 of them were WELL past their prime. Also, there were 5 samples that were not tagged properly ( the description of the wine ) did not match up to the bottle or price. If the manager is reading this, more attention to detail should be paid as youโre probably losing a lot of money. The waitress was great, and the food delicious, however that poor waitress doesnโt make NEARLY as much as she should, because once I load my card up at the front, she has no incentive or opportunity to upsell me, as she doesnโt get to ring in the wines Iโm wanting to try. Bottom line, she only makes tips on the food, which canโt be enough to live on. The Wine Room is a great idea, but itโs wanting to be too much, they should re focus their efforts so the waitress has more control over what wine she recommends and opens for customers. If the wait staff were trained in wine knowledge, they should be able to load my card for me and bring me with them to get the sample so they can discuss the wines in more detail. This would add credibility to the establishment and would bring in the higher end clientele they are hoping to attract. Then tipping would be more justified on their card system. Instead of tipping prior to taking your first sip. Itโs a cool concept, it just needs to be tweaked just a bit.

Being able to choose from so many different wines was great! The experience was really fun. We went on a Friday night, so it was very crowded. Iโm glad we found โthe caveโ where we were able to sit and enjoy our conversations and wine.

We had a few hours before catching a flight back home and we love Winter Park, such a beautiful area. The Wine Room was perfect, such a wonderful selection of wines and we had a beautiful charcuterie board as we wanted something light before the flight. Great atmosphere, would be so fun with a group. Our server was so pleasant and eager to please. All over, a wonderful experience.

This is a great place to kick the night off before dinner! Or finish the evening after dinner. Amazing wine selections! Love that you can walk around and try out 100's of different wine selections. Also great for light foods, charcuterie or flat breads!

What a fantastic selection of wines and a great concept for being able to sample so many. You charge a card, stick it in a slot and select how much you want of whatever bottle; perfect way to try a dozen wines for cheap. They do have some very expensive wines and the cheapest is $2/1oz, but the selection is excellent. The food smelled delicious and there's an underground place called The Vault where you have to be seated so you can try some of their secret vintages. Great for dates or after work.

The wine room had a great selection of wines, good appetizers and flatbreads, and a great atmosphere to hang out for good company and drinks.
Be the first to ReplyGood Place to Taste Different Wines
This is essentially a wine tasting bar. This is an excellent place to educate yourself on different wines from around the world. They have 100+ wine tasting options. You load up a card with $'s and then you can go to the different taps and pour 1 oz, 2 oz, or 4 oz pours of any wines. The prices range from inexpensive to some impressive high end, expensive wines. I work in a wine store and we have a small (24 taps) unit. These type of wine tasting stations are real money makers. You can burn through a lot of money quickly if you aren't careful. They also have bottles of wine to sell and their prices are pretty good considering they are located on Park Avenue. My wife and i had the Brussels Sprouts while we sipped wine and they were delicious. Overall, a fun experience and the opportunity for us to taste some wines that we have not had in the past.

Itโs more than three years since we first visited The Wine Room and every return here since then has been uniformly positive. Generally, it is a lively and bustling, large establishment (unlike, for example, the intimate Vinia just the other side of the tracks). The clientel continues to be young and boisterous and the staff is ever gregarious and helpful. Although the selection of wine offerings is nearly overwhelming, the real โhiddenโ treat are the food choises. The flatbreads (my wifeโs favorite) are ample and delicious. My favorite is the charcuterie board. Unquestionably, it is the best of its kind in town - both quantity and quality wise !

We enjoyed our visit to the wine bar. The place is technically a bar over a restaurant but it does have food. Table seating is first come first serve. We sat outside. We ordered two of the flat bread pizzas. The Barbeque pulled chicken was very good. We enjoyed it much better than the Spinach Artichoke one. We had a groupon for $60 worth of wine on the wine card. The money went fast. There were some 1.0 oz pours you could get for $2 but the money does not last very long. I enjoyed trying all sorts of different wines. I would have liked to have more white wine selections particularly the chardonnay. Overall we had a nice evening here and we plan on coming back when we visit the Orlando area again.
Be the first to ReplyFun place with more wines than you can possibly drink!
This is a fun place to visit if for no other reason than to check out the wine selection. If you like a particular wine it will be here. You can get food items to pair with your wines. Do go downstairs and check out the vault!
