Rip-off and no services
Rip-off and not clean. When I arrived, I had to pay an additional $841.00 for the resort fee on top of the price I had paid. These costs are illegal and a lawyer from Las Vegas has been fighting for a long time to have them banned. The room was tidy at first glance, but there was dust everywhere. After three days, the air conditioning was broken, I reported this to reception. The gentleman told me that it would be repaired immediately. After two days, it didn't work. I then met the chambermaid and told her again and in the evening the system was working again. The room was not cleaned for four days. I couldn't use the resort fee. Swimming pool closed for this season. The restaurant only opens from 10 p.m. to 12 noon. The steakhouse closed on Sunday and Monday. Supposedly cheaper for hotel guests to go to the tower. Wasn't possible with the online booking because I didn't have a code. Instead of $15, I should have paid $29. Lots of bums just sitting around in the casino. The location of the hotel is very good. Bus stop in front of the building. The entrance smells strongly of cannabis. The hotel still charges over $11 for cash withdrawals from the ATM. I've been to Vegas a few times but I can happily do without this hotel.

We did not stay at The Strat, but we did pay to go up to the 108th floor bar to look out over Las Vegas. It is only $15 for an all day pass. Being up there at night watching The Sphere change designs for hours was a blast! We also enjoyed the Rouge show that was currently at The Strat.
Be the first to ReplyStrat Is the Worst Hotel on the Vegas strip. It’s a tall Motel
This was a horrific experience. The rooms were dirty. The floors and cigarette buds every where. We had to change rooms more once due to the clogged plumbing that had a sewage smell through the room. You’re going to be constantly harassed to no end to do a timeshare. You can’t even enjoy your vacation constantly defending yourself from people. We check in and the keys stopped working. You would think you can go right back to the desk and have them reprogram the key real quick. Instead they yell at you to wait in the check in line for another 45 minutes and it’s their error. What made it more frustrating is we had fresh food and it was cold by the time we finally went through the long check in line again. The Manager said they would compensate us by returning the resort fees of $255. Needless to say they did not and we had to speak to several managers and supervisors before they noted it would be refunded. Save your money. Do NOT spend your money here. Complete rip off!!!! Way over priced and the neighborhood is sketchy asf
Be the first to Replyit’s a big scam.
This is the biggest scam ever. I booked a suite in the Strat Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas through United Airline/Priceline and on their website it had beautiful modern furniture and nice window view, when I arrived, it was the sketchiest suite I ever seen in my life, straight out of a horror movie, where you kidnap someone and hide them to ask for ransom, I turned the stand light on and got shocked, opened the blind there was a dark wall facing me, used my phone light to find the light switch to my surprise it’s not working. Suite #6046 Went down to the front desk and demanded another suite, they told me that’s the only one available even though I booked and paid 30 days in advance. I was told it is “first come first served basis” what’s reservations for? Called the manager and she repeated the phrase “first come first served”, so they decided to downgrade me to a one bedroom, and promised to give me my suite next day, I spent all 4 nights asking for my suite that I paid for. I was charged $932.00 for 4 nights, plus $216.00 amenities fee upon arrival, the room I got was advertised for $89.00 a night. NEVER stay with them it’s a big scam.

Come on now if you are going to nickel and dime people give them good service. I’d never stay here again. I spent $45 to check in early and a $45 resort fee. The wifi didn’t work well, I didn’t have a hair dryer and had to call housekeeping, needed extra toiletries. They’re so damn cheap and then you pay for everything. Just no

Love it! Love it! Best VIP customer Service! Angelo, Ronald, and Angela are the Best! They went above and beyond making this Birthday the Best Ever - Tami Be sure to come and visit, you won’t be disappointed! The rooms are spacious and very very clean!
Be the first to ReplyBudget hotel; get what you pay for
Prices are cheap and the room itself was nice. However, the cons are its way too far from the rest of the strip and the neighborhood around is kind of sketchy. Also the wifi did not work most of the stay. The check in and check out process was smooth. I would spend a bit more to stay more central on the strip next time though.
Be the first to ReplyThe Good, Bad, and Ugly (GBU)
GBU Review of our stay at The Strat: I had a business trip to Vegas which put me and my wife at one hotel for a few days. We decided to extend our trip 4 more days and move to The Strat as it was closer to the strip activities. The Good: self check-in was nice and easy. The box office people are simple to work with and helpful. The tower, my God yes go to the observation deck at night and just look at the amazing views. Go up early enough to have a drink in the tower inside and just enjoy it all. We attended one of the house shows, which I'll write a review for separately, but it was handled well and professionally. The "View Lounge" in the casino lobby was a nice place to sit and enjoy a drink while watching sports and people. We ended up not eating in the tower restaurant, but wish we had the time to do so, I highly recommend it from what I did see. The Bad: The entire casino floor is so bloody noisy that I tried to take several phone calls and had to go outside and down the street. You can't even think of carry on a conversation anywhere. They had a live band on Friday and Saturday night that was mediocre, but only conflicted with the already overwhelmingly noisy floor and music blaring. I would have wished for somewhere quieter to sit. The room itself was okay, nothing too great but far from what I would want to book again. The room safe had been locked open so there was no way to us it. The room was also advertised as having a mini-fridge which it did not. I'm tired of staying at hotels without a fridge and microwave. And quite frankly, I hate the pod-style coffee makers. All the pools were closed due to weather so I can't say good or bad there, and of course isn't the hotel's fault. The vending machines are in one part of the hallway but then you have to walk a few hundred steps to the ice machine, it just seems very poorly designed. The Ugly: We stayed on the 12th floor and the hallway carpet is pulled up, wrinkled, and quite honestly a trip hazard. Night one, when I was out on a walkabout looking for the ice machine, I saw what was CLEARLY a pimp and 2 prostitutes in the hall. Let's be clear, not high end escorts with evening gowns, were talking low-rent prostitutes. That was disgusting. Second night, at 11:30pm, someone knocks on our room door. I asked who it was an a lady on the other side asked if we wanted her to clean our bathroom. I told her no and sent her on her way. It had a really bad vibe. The third night, as we approached our room, a guy and a woman were walking toward us, we entered our room and as the door clicked shut I heard what I can only surmise was the guy kicking our door almost like he tried to get in. It seems like hotel security is pretty lacking in controlling who is and isn't in the hotel. I expect prices at hotels to be bad, but The Strat is engaging in full-on price gouging. We wanted to have a drink in the lounge, those were $16 each but the worst was when we went to the store and needed cigarettes and a Red Bull, the cigarettes were $18 a pack and the Red Bull was $6. Overview: the tower is worth seeing 100%, even if you're not staying there. The observation deck and restaurant are worth going to see, as well as the box office people and the show we went to. For those, I give it a 2. As for the rest, I would give a zero rating and would not stay here again.
Be the first to ReplySpend a little extra for a better casino/hotel
Not particularly impressed with my stay at the Strat. PROS: -The room itself was fine and I slept okay too. -Cheap. CONS: -While the room was fine, it also was well below my expectations of a Vegas casino/hotel. It felt like your average budget hotel. -The location is too far away from the rest of the strip to walk, so you either need to use the shuttle bus or constantly get rideshares. -The internet worked maybe 10% of our 3-day stay. -The neighborhood immediately around the hotel felt sketchy/unsafe. Conclusion - spend a little more money to stay somewhere nicer and more centrally-located on the strip.
Be the first to ReplyAverage hotel in Las Vegas!
The STRAT is a pretty standard LV hotel, located at the end of the strip. The room is OK at best, room service did not clean the room during one of the days despite reminding them. The building is in desperate need of an upgrade. One of the conveniences of staying here is that you get a discount if you want to visit the tower and enjoy the rides there [which are well worth it IMO].
Be the first to ReplyThe Worst Hotel Service
This hotel is the WORST! The staff was apathetic and Management was aggressive and threatening towards me (yikes). On Day 1, my room wasn't ready at 7pm and was 'TBD' even though check in time is 4pm. They just made excuses for the long lines and poor service.
Be the first to ReplyDO NOT BOOK HERE!
Do not come here! Besides it being far from EVERYTHING and in the getto, none of the restaurants are open til 4 except Mcdonald’s, the adult pool is now a family pool which they don’t tell you and is the very reason we chose this place, they charge you $9 per person to go have a cocktail at the bar AND still, they charge you a daily resort fee!! Hot water lasts for one shower and don’t forget to bring your hair dryer because they don’t have them in the rooms. And they have very limited cocktail service in the casino. We spoke with the front desk and they are not helpful. At this point, all we want to do is leave but we are stuck here another 2 days. The ONLY thing we like about this place is the room - it is nice but we are in a suite so not sure how the other rooms are. In conclusion, I highly recommend not ever booking this place.
Be the first to ReplyGood to Great but expensive like all of Vegas now
Went in for March Madness while the big construction convention was there so the prices were high across all of Vegas. I spent a little more on the Elevate rooms(lastest renovation) glad I did nice room. The Strat itself was nice but expensive like all of Vegas now. Two 20oz Heinekens at the sports bar $28. Ate at one of the restaurants, just ok once again very expensive and I am coming from the bay area where things are expensive. There has been many bad reviews and I didn't see anything that even resembled those reviews while I was there. Remember if you go on priceline/hotels.com and get at $16 room you are basically saying please give me the worse room you have, there could be some of those there that I did not see. As usual you get what you pay for so spend a little more $$ especially if you are going to spend some time in the room.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely do not recommend this hotel
The front desk staff at check in were not particularly friendly. They offered a cheap upgrade to a better room which we took. The light flickered constantly and there was a huge noisy extractor fan right outside the window. When we couldn’t get hot water we phoned the front desk and they couldn’t have cared less. She said maybe there was a problem but she had no way of knowing. Great thanks . The coffee machine ran out of pods we were told call front desk to get more . They didn’t bring them till the last day . The Lino at the room door was not even stuck to the floor . The tv would turn itself on at random times during the night ….. we didn’t bother phoning the front desk as they were no help with anything else . Housekeeping only came the day before we left we were there for 6 days
Be the first to ReplyNot a bad place but we didn't spend much.
Arrived from LAS with a $19 lyft. Checked in early, did not get the updated room, but that was OK. 17th floor towards the mountain. Room was clean and a smoke free floor, the first floor was a typical smoke hole. About a 7 minute walk to monorail, we had bought discounted passes on line. Decent food choices on 2nd floor of hotel, a McDonald's and IHOP also just outside. Did a show at the la comedy club, it was great. Did happy hour at the 107th floor at sunset, very nice. then walked up to the top at no cost. Spent 2 hours at the adult only pool, was a very mixed crowd but pleasant, no pressure to buy drinks, but you must show ID to get on the floor. Bottom line, would I stay there again, yes I would.
Be the first to ReplyVery noisy !!!
I don’t recommend this hotel while they’re on renovation. You won’t be able to sleep at night du to constructions being done on a Night Shift. The noise is very loud and unacceptable. We contact the front desk many times and they told us nothing they could do . Very disappointed ☹️
Be the first to ReplyThis hotel is dated, dirty and the staff is indifferent.
This hotel is dated, dirty and the staff is indifferent. Our rooms were not clean. Cracker crumbs, pennies, and filth on the walls. We called housekeeping to ask the room to be cleaned each day; we were there and they just never showed up. We went and spoke to the front desk and they assured us the room would be cleaned the next day. So let me make it clear, the rooms were dirty upon check in, it was late at night so we asked them to be cleaned the next day. Nothing was cleaned. Day number two, say scenario. The carpets in the halls were filthy as well. The fitness area was pretty nice, the folks working the tables were also very nice. We had dinner in the Strat, of course the views were awesome and the food was an 7 out of 10. Service was top notch. In short, it needs a major renovation and a management change.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible customer service!
Upon arrival the first room we had the lights didn’t work. They said no more rooms were available for the price we paid. So we had to upgrade. Pay extra for something that wasn’t our problem. Second room there was no refrigerator or coffee maker, for which we had paid for a room with these things. Then my friend fell for the timeshare scam! They charge $50.00 and tell you that you get $100.00 in slot money, $100.00 in dining and a free show. (Nothing is free). The slot play is at another casino, Casino Royal. There were no places inside Strats to dine that were open. Finally on Tuesday evening the McCall Grill was open but a meal for 2 would cost about $150.00. They don’t accept the dining voucher from the timeshare people. And you have to go on the tour before receiving any benefit vouchers. They tell you that you can go any time! Clientele in this hotel is shady. Drinks while gambling are very few & far between. The cocktail servers are not friendly. I don’t think they like their job! Will never stay here again!!!! Vegas has lost the fun!
Be the first to ReplyNot best in Vegas
Stayed here , the room was nice & clean, can't say anything bad about it but not anything more than average was hoping & expected better. Observation deck was nice but having to go through so much to get there & pay more , was not quiet worth it. To far to walk down the strip.
Be the first to ReplyWorst trip to Vegas ever
My wife and I booked 3 nights at the Stratosphere Las Vegas. When we checked in we were offered an upgrade for an extra $75 per night for a suite. First morning coffee machine didn’t work safe didn’t work and phone didn’t work. We asked for our room to be cleaned daily and it never happened. Check out day room was never cleaned we were told twice it would happen but never did. Poor service, manager does not care. I would never stay here again even if it was conned
Be the first to ReplyThin walls
So we were going to Vegas for the nascar race and I have a ton of best western rewards points so I saw this was on a list t9 use with points. I booked the upgraded king room. It appeared in the room photos there was a couch which there was not. The room itself looks newly remodeled and it looked good. The bathroom though was not cleaned ver6 well and the grey wallpapered wall in there had white streaks and spots all over it. We were on the 18th floor but the road noise sounded like we were on the 3rd. The walls are so paper thin that we heard the neighbors all not long and not just because they were loud but we could hear complete conversations it was so uninsulated. Then at 4 am we heard the radio and then things we wish we hadn’t and it was so clear it was like they were in bed with us. I would recommend somewhere else especially if you plan on being romantic.
Be the first to ReplyIt sucked
This was the worst Las Vegas visit I have ever had. They Baited and switch us on the price in ADDITION to the Resort fees. (I know they all have resort fees). They never tidied up our room, EVER. The Ice machine didn't work, the phone didn't work (I'm pretty tech savvy so I don't think it was me. I had the neighbors from hell, and kids were running up and down the hall till past midnight. When I called to complain, they said I'd have to talk to the desk. After 90 Min on hold, I gave up. I Called the conseair back, and she said I'd have to talk to a manager. Tobe honest I wasn't up for another 90 min on hold. Cindy Mueller (North Navada Resident )

Got a room where I could see the jumpers go off the top of the tower. Good free entertainment! Love the free parking! Rooms are clean especially the updated ones...though I do miss the big tub. Machines let you play for a bit. Mornings seem to be the best. Looking forward to my next visit. A special thank you to Alex!! Front staff is helpful.
