Elegant experience
Such a fabulous evening at The Muddlers Club! First the restaurant itself is very attractive and comfortable. Our server, Isabel, was very sweet and careful in explaining the tasting menu and checking in us throughout the meal. We also liked the way Anton presented the wine pairings. Each course — some are mini courses or pre-courses — was visually beautiful, artfully arranged, and delicious, with a combination of flavors and textures. It’s hard to say which we liked best, although the short rib amuse bouche was in some ways the most spectacular for its surprising burst of flavor. Pay attention to how disciplined and professional the staff is at presenting and clearing the plates. It’s the little things like that that really elevate a meal into an experience.

Visited last night and had a really lovely meal and beautiful service from all staff but particularly our server Isobel who was really sweet and accommodating to my particular dietary requirements (pregnant) making sure everything was suitable and if not it was tweaked. Thank you to the chefs for this also. All the mocktails were exquisite and presented so beautifully makes you almost believe you are drinking the real deal. I was very jealous of all my partner's yummy wine but he was generous in letting me sniff the vapours haha. Isobel also had excellent knowledge of the wines and suggested a delightful aperitif to complement the cheese course and it was so good it will be getting ordered for the home delivery. The food was beautifully presented with interesting and complex flavour and texture combos that were a joy to savour...or scoff. Really pleasant ambience and setting. Would thoroughly recommend and definitely visit again. Many thanks to all the friendly and cheerful staff for a really lovely evening.

Visited at 6pm on Saturday evening. Restaurant is a great space, vibrant, engaging, welcoming atmosphere. The waiting staff were attentive, knowledgeable, discreet, professional and polite. The courses were delivered at exactly the right pace and their composition well explained. The food itself was absolutely delicious - stunning, modern, crisp cuisine presented beautifully. The dishes were a real assault on the taste buds in a positive way. Every element was cooked perfectly with such depth of flavour. For me highlights were the halibut dish, the lamb, the rhubarb pre-desert and the scallop. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice little restaurant and nice ambience. We were sat at our table and we were explained the concept and philosophy of the restaurant. We were not felt push to drink wine (a feeling that we have got before in expensive restaurants) and the waiters were all very kind and friendly. The Prosecco and champaign was really lovely. The bread made with Guiness beer was out of this world. The food was fantastic and the dessert just amazing. Ee had an amazing night. Fully recommendable.

Fantastic start to finish. This is a must-have if visiting belfast. Food, drinks, and staff I could go on were all amazing, but honestly, it was one of the best meals I have ever had.

A marvellous experience. The staff, their friendliness and the way they explain the dishes. The dishes were all super delicious. The only downside is the excessive noise in the room.

Cannot fault anything about the service or food. Everything was top notch without being overbearing or pretentious and the ambience of the venue was fantastic. The food was wonderful with each course matched with a wonderful wine. My favourite course was the venison, it melted in the mouth and the desert wine, a Gewurztraminer, was unbelievably good as well. It is however a shame to single them out as the whole food experience was so good. The same can be said for the service, for such a young set of staff, all exuded knowledge of food and wine well beyond their years and their attention to detail and service was unrivalled without being overbearing. Worth visiting the wonderful city of Belfast just to dine here!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food , poor service
Food was outstanding , but some of the serving staff were rude and arrogant . We had the tasting menu with wine pairing . The dishes were almost thrown down with poor explanation. The sommelier clearly had an issue with our table of four . He was rhyming off the wines from a script and laker explanation. When asked to repeat because we hadn’t heard he was visibly annoyed . The glasses were plonked down in front of us . He clearly was not having a good night with us for whatever reason but it really ruined the atmosphere and the mood . Only My champagne glass was removed by him after the first course , with half a bottle left . He was rude lacked etiquette you would expect in this standard of restaurant. I didn’t get his name as he didn’t introduce himself but when we commented to Chris who had seated us that the staff were rude he did change the service and we very much appreciated that. A great meal which was tainted by poor service .

This was our second time here for our wedding anniversary and honestly words can’t describe how fantastic this place is! All of the staff are soo friendly and knowledgeable on the wine and food. Niall was our server and was soo helpful, friendly and down right a credit to the restaurant. Safe to say we’ll be back soon for another quality night! Thank you to on all the chefs and staff!

Amazing food paired with fabulous wines. Service was amazing. Only slight disappointment was having to pay for tap water.

Great Michelin-started experience. For the quality of the food and service, the price is fantastic. Food was immaculate, my friend was pescatarian and they provided a separate menu for her with no problems at all. Service was great and the sommeliers are very insightful. Best dish I had was the scallop pancetta and consumme dish it was so bloody good. Would definitely recommend here as an introduction to Michelin starred dining.

A lovely experience. The service was first class not overcrowded or stuffy. The place was very busy for a Thursday night. The pace of the meal was perfect . The food served was delicious. The meal was very expensive and not somewhere I could go very often but would I return yes

Lovely people, brilliant food and wine, unfussy and felt very comfortable as a solo diner. I lost a brooch and the next day got a call to say they’d found it. I mean, what more can you ask for
Be the first to ReplyWine pairings
We dined at this restaurant last week. Every course was spot on and well explained by our server. The wine pairings were great too.
Be the first to ReplyGood food at corrrect price point
The service in this restaurant was impeccable and the food was of high quality and inventive but it just missed the high spot. Explanations of wine pairings were a little onerous. The big issue I have is the noise levels . The internal construction means that the noise levels were prohibitive. A conversation is almost impossible and we had difficulty hearing the waiters announcing the dishes/wines.

6 of us had the paired tasting menu. FABULOUS from beginning to end. Would eat here every week if I could!! Service, food and ambience all wonderful. Just great to have this establishment in Belfast. Keep up the great work………please open on Ormeau Road!

We managed to get a late booking for a long lunch today and wow what an experience this was. In every way this is an incredible restaurant. Every member of staff, Barry and Isabela and others were attentive and knowledgeable, gave us very good advice on our choices. We had the tasting menu with pairings. Straight to the top few of best ever experiences! Well done to all at the Muddlers! We look forward to returning.

We were here, visiting from the USA, celebrating our daughter's 30th birthday. We all had the tasting menu and it was wonderful. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. The atmosphere was casual, which we liked. The service was good. I think the reason for only giving it 4 stars is that it was not the best meal and experience we ever had. This is minor, but at the beginning they did not offer us drinks and while the service was good, it was a bit inconsistent. I still highly recommend it.
Be the first to ReplyUnusual atmosphere for a Michelin star restaurant
Compared to other Michelin star restaurants, TMCB surely has a less formal setup. Food is good and well presented, warm tastes of autumn in both fish and meat courses. To be improved: service, a bit to much noise and tiny spaces in the dining room and the wine choice is definitively too tight.

There are three Michelin starred restaurants in the city and this is the last one of them for my wife and I to try. My wife said that the meal we had there was the single best meal of her life and even though she is a huge fan of both Deans Eipic and Ox, she ranked this as easily the best restaurant of the three. I felt that it was fantastic too and one of the courses, the venison with plum and Young Buck cheese, was the single best dish of my entire 62 years existence. The service too was top notch. Our waiter for the evening Niall, was charming and attentive without being too intrusive and he was incredibly friendly and efficient. An absolute credit to the establishment, further enhanced by the panache and flourish with which he handled and served the drinks and food. Even his backwards glide on his table approach was super slick and really added to the feeling of us feeling looked after. There was one small incident (not by Niall) were a little wine was spilled at our table but is was a simple accident with the waiter responsible taking full ownership and apologising promptly. Because of this our water coffee and cheese board were comped - which we did not even ask for because as I say, it was a simple accident that could have happened to anyone. That lovey gesture was the icing on the cake to a spectacular evening in a beautifully managed restaurant with simply stunning food ! If I could give it a standing ovation I would!

We went last night for my wife 50th Birthday, recommended by a number of friends. I have ate all over the world and this was outstanding, the quality of the food, service and mood was great. If you want to capture the best of Belfast on a night out go to the muddlers club. All the staff were great, our waiter Niall added a sense of fun, combined with exceptional service. Well worth the price for a memorable night out.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding dinner
Came here for my fiancées birthday and couldn't have been happier. The pre dinner cocktails were outstanding and better than you would get in most dedicated bars. The service from all waiting staff and the sommelier was efficient and very friendly and far from the stuffy/pretentious attitude that you can get from Michelin Star restaurants in England. As for the food - there is nothing I can put in writing that would do it justice. Every course was carefully put together and the Wine pairing was equally impressive. Yes it was an incredibly expensive evening for dinner for two but you would pay twice this for anywhere else in mainland Uk and I genuinely believe there is nowhere in NI other than Ox which comes close to eating here
Be the first to ReplyGood but not wowed
Really attentive service, wine pairings and cocktails were excellent. While the cookery was excellent I would say a few dishes weren’t quite there, eg a scallop dish totally overpowered with curry sauce, portions fairly small in general. Obviously you’re paying a premium and dinner with wine and drinks with a tip was £360. At that price point I probably wanted to feel a little more wowed.
