🤮 1/5 - Ghastly food, ghastly service

Four of us went here for Thanksgiving dinner. The starters were good - a nifty endive salad with a wonderful light dressing for some and the widely admired spicy tuna for others. Then there was a 30-minute pause while later-arriving diners were served but no one came near our table. Finally we asked to see the manager. When he arrived he told us there was a “miscommunication in the kitchen.” No further info. He said, incorrectly, that he would make everything right. Several minutes later our main courses arrived. Shoe-leather quality cold and utterly tasteless turkey, gravy suitable to cement a brick wall, also cold, stuffing that looked and tasted like a miniature pressed basketball, also cold, and some cool sides. At this point we were starving and to our later regret ate what we could of the dreadful offering. The bill was around $1,000, including tip, an outrageous sum for one of the worst meals we have ever had in our lives. Since we were family, and didn’t want to further spoil our favorite holiday, we put up with what was obviously a major mess, but we will NEVER darken these doors again.
