The Crow's Nest Montauk Reviews from The Last Year

. feels like your in a vineyard somewhere in Italy. Beautiful setting. Drinks were ok but the whipped ricotta, the chicken kebab and lobster pasta is a must! Also service was GREAT.

Lovely food and lovely staff! Perfect setting with a view
Lovely food and lovely staff! Perfect setting with a view :) We got the steak and lobster pasta which was delish!!
What was not good ?.
.. is the cesspool smell while eating my dinner and several weeks prior my girlfriend had the same dining experience with the cesspool smell.I had recommended this place to so many because the food really is fabulous and the staff is really good and the restaurant over the past few years had a wonderful ambiance but unfortunately the cesspool smell ruined the whole experience . I hope they address this issue immediately. It was not low tide smell either as I live near the water and know what that smells like.
I wish i could give it none.
The worst service I've ever seen. The wait was 45 min but we could wait at the bar or so we were told. While looking at the menu the bartender asked us 4 times if we would order something basically "hurry up" and after ordering he tells us we have to order at least one entrée in order to even sit here. Yet we were told we could wait at the bar for a table. While we were shoulder to shoulder with people the ambiance was totally ruined. The bartenders made us feel like we were begging for food instead of paying a lot of money for it. Never felt more unwelcome in my life. We ended up completely walking out and hanging the menu right back. Would never come back or recommend. The rudest wait staff I've ever seen.
We have been here a handful of times.
The quality and vibe has gone downhill, sadly. I remember a pasta dish with spicy lobster that was taken off the menu in subsequent years. This dish is now offered with a tiny bit of crab and intense heat. Sorry, it will not be this place that rips me off the beach to shower and be in queue at 4:30pm for dinner. We are glad to drop some coin for dinner when it is worth it. Beautiful location though!
Awesome date night.
Food was very good but the fatty part of the steak was too chewy, the wait for 2 people was 2 hours so we ate at the bar . The views are gorgeous , you have to see this place in person, it's on a hill that leads to a beach with a fire pit, just fantastic spot over all
Good food, great ambiance.
Beautiful sunset on the lake Whipped ricotta & Lobster pasta were delicious
My friend and I go to Montauk every summer and I can't
My friend and I go to Montauk every summer and I can't believe we had never tried Crows Nest. To start- it is absolutely beautiful both inside and outside. The crows nest is on a huge property. That is literally breathtaking and beautiful. If the weather is nice, definitely sit outside. They give you carrots and hummus, and honestly my friend and I were laughing at the portion size, but then we remembered we were in the Hamptons. After asking several staff, what they recommend, the whipped ricotta appetizer was a must and I will be dreaming about it for the next several months. It literally was so delicious and I wish I had some right now, HA! Our scallop entrée was delicious as well. We ended up splitting all the plates we got. The scallops were tender and cooked perfectly. Seeing queen Alix Earle herself was the highlight of the night, LOL! Make sure to make your way down to the bar at the bottom of the hill for a nice drink and people watching afterwards. Its right on the water and so pretty down there!
Beautiful restaurant indoors and out.
Delicious food and attentive service. Loved it
Tom, the manager, is extremely disrespectful and should not be in the hospitality business!!!
I have not written a bad review for anything, ever. However, I also have never been treated so disrespectfully. I went to The Crows Nest with 3 friends (we are all in our late 50’s) for some wine and appetizers. We were promptly seated and gave our waitress our drink order. While we were enjoying the $150.00 wine that we were just served, we also ordered an appetizer. A few minutes after ordering, Tom, the manager, came over to our table and informed us that if we weren’t going to order dinner we would have to vacate the table. We asked if we could just have a few minutes to finish our wine, he said no! If we wanted to drink the rest of our wine we were welcome to go to the picnic tables (down the hill, and to the side of the restaurant). They quickly gave us the bill, which was approx $180 (including tax and tip for the waitress) and then told us they needed the table. We abided, but we had to leave the ridiculously expensive/overpriced wine because we did not feel comfortable going down to the picnic tables. To be honest, I may have actually understood the need for the table, had there not been 2 empty tables right next to us. We are all educated, successful and respectful women, we just had other plans for dinner that night. Had we known, via the website, that dinner was mandatory we obviously would not have gone to that restaurant for drinks and appetizers that particular night. If we were told upon entering, or if it was stated on the menu (or anywhere else in the restaurant) that dinner was mandatory, we would have understood. The way Tom the manager handled this situation was abhorrent, to say the least. The restaurant in and of itself is absolutely beautiful, but Tom the manager should not be in the hospitality business!!!

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
