Extremely disappointing
I brought my niece for part of her 13th birthday nyc trip. We have been so excited to eat at Tiffany's. Fought so hard to get a reservation--- such a let down. Food was awful. Bland. Hard dry bread. Don't waste your time. One and done for us.

Fantastic!!! The sandwiches and waffles are amazing!!! The food is excellent. Very delicious meal. The teas and coffees are good too.

The Blue Box Cafe is amazing. The food was well presented and delicious. The coffee was great too. Very nice place to dine.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
I was excited for this experience but was disappointed. I expected this to be amazing especially since Daniel Boulod is part of this cafe. We ordered the Tea and it looked great on the menu. The sandwiches were fine. My favorite was the small bagel with salmon. The lobster roll was dry. The scones were served warm but were dry as well. I doused them with cream and jam. The small desserts were clearly left out for quite some time. They were not fresh so I did not eat them. Save the money and go for a proper tea at the Russian Tea Room.
Be the first to ReplyWhat an experience ! Breakfast at Tiffany's
Wow!!! This was one of the highlights on our trip to NY. I tried to book a table before we came with no luck so we decided to try and queue on the day. Arrived at 9.30 half hr before opening and luckily got sat at the bar. Yes it is expensive for what you get but so worth it for the experience. All the food we had was lovely, we took our time and enjoyed the experience. Our 13yr old daughter even enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and accommodating, did feel a little rushed at times but have since been told that is to be expected in the USA I would definitely return if i was ever fortunate enough to have that experience again!
Be the first to ReplyLovely experience
The food and service was excellent, though we did leave hungry so don’t expect a tonne of food. The fruit bowl was beautifully presented and was the best fruit I have ever tasted in my entire life. Well, apart from the Asian pear I had from Lincoln Market in Greenpoint ;-)
Be the first to ReplyLate Lunch at Tiffany's
Having tried unsuccessfully to book a table here on previous visits to NYC (from the UK), we finally got a table prior to our next trip. It was at 4:30pm on a Friday. We arrived at Tiffany's and got the lift up to the 6th floor around 10 minutes before our 4:30pm slot. We waited 10/15 minutes before being seated and brought menus. There's an all day breakfast menu, a seasonal a la carte menu, the Afternoon Tea and desserts. Having seen that the Afternoon Tea was $98pp (c.£78.50pp), we chose off the seasonal a la carte menu. The hamburger and fries were excellent as was the Croque Aux Truffes. We also shared a dessert ($18 !?). We were also presented with a birthday macaron. Service was excellent, the cafe area beautiful and food excellent if pricey. For a one off treat it's an excellent choice. Iconic.

Lovely treat. Breakfast was really tasty. Disappointed that it's not served with tea or coffee (extra charge for this) and at $59 per person plus taxes and tip it should be included. However, the service from all staff we encountered was first class and we had a lovely time. Thank you.
Be the first to ReplyLovely treat but check menu before you go
We enjoyed this experience but please don't go expecting it to like the London Savoy or Ritz - it does say it's a cafe. That said the waiters were especially attentive - leaning down to take orders so you don't need to shout, filling glasses etc but giving you plenty of space to enjoy and not hassling you to hurry. We booked online that morning which worked well. Check out the menu before you go. They do all day breakfast (obviously!) and afternoon tea but at over $90 a person I thought it seemed very expensive especially when I saw what others were presented with for that money. We opted for the burger and fries at $32 each and it was very good and plenty of food for us. After the food I decided to try a pot of the 'Tiffany tea' for $8 which I really enjoyed. Overall a lovely treat and way to feel special.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful experience.
I had seen some reviews so was apprehensive. However, we had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday. My daughter and I each had the tea presentation and it was excellent. We love traditional teas and this did not disappoint.Service was fine. It is expensive but we really enjoyed it. I think the decor was not up to the food as it sort of did look like a diner, but it made no difference to the overall experience. I will also add that everyone we encountered at Tiffany's was also very friendly and helpful.
Be the first to ReplyWorth The Difficulty Getting The Reservation
The Blue Box Cafe is in the Tiffany store in New York City, the setting of the 1960's movie Breakfast At Tiffanys. As the ability now exists to actually have breakfast at Tiffanys, we thought we'd go and do that on our last trip to New York; the only problem though was that thousands of other people also have the same idea, apparently every day of the year. It was insanely difficult to get the online reservation through, they sell out within minutes of becoming available, but my wife managed to achieve the seemingly impossible. The cafe is really nice, up-market but not prohibitively expensive, and the food is very good as is the service. If you're old enough to remember the movie, and if you can secure a reservation, the Blue Box Cafe is worth a visit.
Be the first to ReplyThe location is closed due renovation😁
The location is closed due to renovations and due to reopen in 2021. Do not be discouraged when you see that the cafe is perm closed. Good things to come. I was there prior to selected date, it didn’t give me the option to chose.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place, ok food.
You are literally having breakfast (or lunch, or tea) at Tiffany's. That is the best part. The desserts are very good but the food is ok, nothing remarkable. Still a good idea to go.
Be the first to ReplyExceeded My Expectations, A Magical Experience
I actually visited in September 2019, however due to travelling all over the world for the last 12 months, I am just in the process of writing all the reviews. What an incredible experience which I 100% recommend! This has been a dream of mine since before the café opened and I was delighted I managed to get a table! I had read the reviews beforehand so I knew I needed to be on the website at 2pm UK time or 9am US time to ensure I booked a table as they sell out faster than concert tickets! The best way to do it is to book for the beginning of your trip so if you can’t get a table, you can keep trying for a couple of days afterwards. I managed to book a 4pm table on a Tuesday which was absolutely fine as they serve breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea for all of the sittings. Whilst the afternoon tea sounded lovely, I of course opted for Breakfast at Tiffany’s! It was $32 which is very reasonable for where you are. We were served fresh fruit, French patisseries and refillable coffee to start and we both choose to order an alcoholic drink; my friend choose the cranberry and champagne and I chose the Tiffany signature cocktail which was $36 (slightly more than breakfast but completely worth it!). For our main breakfast, I choose the smoked salmon bagel which was delicious and it came with a lot more smoked salmon than expected which I thought was excellent. My friend had the waffles which equally looked delicious. Despite going for breakfast, we both also decided to get a dessert which was served with its own Tiffany & Co chocolate. The whole experience was everything I thought it would be and more! I loved every minute of it and I will definitely be back in the future!
Be the first to ReplyWorth the reservation trauma.....
Worth the reservation trauma. Created a Resy account but didn’t put in my CC details so first attempt was a failure.... day 2 attempted again but even though it said I had a reservation after the press of a button it had gone.... day 3 same as day 2. Had given up hope but put myself on the waiting list.... 3 days before arrival in NY I was notified of late availability and quickly booked. Finally a success. The restaurant was everything I wanted it to be albeit smaller than I imagined. We had a fabulous corner table with a view of the whole restaurant. Staff were fabulous. Very polite and impeccable service. Food was equally fabulous and we really enjoyed the whole experience. Not the cheapest but certainly a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours... and to say we’d had ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’
Be the first to ReplyPlan ahead, worth it
Yes booking is tricky from Australia!. Set up Resy correctly with your credit card loaded beforehand then set your alarm. Once sorted all good. Choice of three menus at any sitting (breakfast, lunch or tea). Worth it for the experience. The store is being refurbished soon and the blue box cafe will close for up to two years so get in fast and enjoy this iconic experience.
Be the first to ReplyTotally amazing
I tried to get a reservation 30 days prior to our trip on the site. Given I live in New Zealand this meant logging on at 3am to try and get a booking. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to secure one as the bookings go so fast. I put myself on the waitlist but had resigned myself to that fact that I would not get a booking. To my surprise a cancellation came up on our last day of our trip and I was over the moon. We went and had lunch and it was nothing but amazing. The food was great, the service was amazing and the decor was pretty cool. Can’t be more happier that I got to go the the Blue Box Cafe

Booked this as a surprise for daughters 18th. Didnt get inital bookings after 4 days of trying but eventually got one on the notify, so pleased we did. We had a lunchtime reservation but you can have breakfast lunch or tea at anytime of the day. We opted for the Breakfast & it was lovely. Staff were pleasant & you didnt feel rushed plus not overpriced at all for what it is. Well worth booking. Only need to do the once
