The food is good and customer service is very friendly.
My only complaint is that they need more help because service is slow.
Be the first to ReplyWife and I stayed at Marriott Courtyard for New Years eve.
We settled on The Bistro in the lobby of the Courtyard for dinner. They were not ready to take orders until about 5:10p.m. We were the 3rd in line and she didn't get to us until 5:30. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers and fries to go. My wife went back to the room to start getting ready to go out and I waited for our dinner, and waited, and waited. 6:10p.m. finally brings out our dinner. 40 minutes for 2 cheeseburgers and fries. I take them up to the room and we eat. Taste bland, can't tell the bun from the burger, a whisper of cheese, something that resembled bacon yet had no flavor. And the fries were lukewarm at best. ย Breakfast was a little better. Very nice polite young lady working the front counter, ordered a scramble and an egg white frittata, no one else in there and it still took 30 minutes to get our food. ย Due to the lousy food and extreme long wait time to get it we will not be going back.
Be the first to ReplyI traveled across the country today, with delays.
I walked downstairs after inquiring what time the kitchen was open until on a day that the warriors were playing. The scene was hectic, lobby stuffed with people watching the game. Yet I was able to get service, and solid food at a solid price. I sampled the turkey Ruben, chicken quesadilla, and cheddar roast beef dip.All of which were beyond better than I was expecting, especially considering it was a cafe inside a Marriott. For around 9$ an item it was beyond well worth. It was nice to watch someone prepare the meals with such passion and precision as Barbara did tonight. It wouldn't surprise me if I stop back in again before I leave for a quick bite.

Every meal we ate here was very good, especially the french toast. :) ย And the service was great as well.

Despite opening at 5 pm, myself and others in line had to wait until 5:15 just to find someone to cashier. The cook was barely setting up starting at 5 and they were clearly not ready to serve at their opening. Once we were able to get someone at the register, it took her a very long time, with a bad attitude to take even simple orders. I wasn't able to actually get my order in until nearly 5:30, despite there only being one person in front of me (who only ordered 3 beers). I ordered a BLT. I was tired from a trip and just wanted to grab food to take back up to my room. It took another 30 minutes to get my sandwich and they weren't able to put it on the bread advertised as it was stale. Overall, terrible service and the sandwich was not very good either. It would have been quicker and easier to have ordered take-out from somewhere else nearby and likely have been much better. Even if staying at the hotel, I will use The Bistro again. Save your time and go to the pub across the street or anywhere else for that matter.
Be the first to ReplyIts fast.
ย Its not very good and not a very good value, but its in the hotel lobby and they are pretty quick about getting the food out. ย I had one of the breakfast plates and a smoothie. Both were a little less the mediocre, but it was filling.I guess one cool thing is that if you get a booth, you get your own tv with a remote so you can watch whatever you want.
