The Barn Restaurant
It's been around 12 years since we were last here. The food is still great and reasonable priced. Great Salad Bar. Service was great.
Be the first to ReplyPoor Customer Treatment
VERY POOR AND EMBARRASSING treatment of customers by a veteran waitress. Senior (80's) couple ordered the "one trip"option to the salad bar with optional price to pay for a bowl of soup. They made their one trip and the gentleman put his pudding in a cup instead of on the plate since pudding has a tendency to run all over the plate. Waitress berated them verbally and more than once for this and when they offered to pay for the pudding (since that seemed to be the issue), she responded with "oh, we'll let it slide THIS TIME". The couple was so embarrassed and upset that they paid for the meal and left without eating. Waitress was very proud to say that she has worked there 37 years but seriously couldn't tell that two 80 year old repeat, loyal customers were not overeating their share. Ridiculous! We are spreading the word and no one in our local acquaintance or large local family will eat there again.

This review is based on the dinner buffet. If you want processed food in mass quantities that is very salty and basically flavorless, then the $19.72 dinner buffet is for you. It had been years since I had been there and will not have it again. I know that with the amount of people that seemed to enjoy swarming the hot food bar, my review will do little to nothing for the restaurant to actually change and “make” some actual food, not just purchase frozen or boxed food to deep fry or heat it up, but I thought I’d leave it nonetheless for anyone who’d rather pass on paying for such fare.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place to eat!
Such a cool restaurant I went to the buffet section and the buffet was the best ive ever been to in my life! They had good food good service and good price! At the end I went out to the pond to feed the ducks and fish they even had really big catfish to feed in the pond I love coming here!
Be the first to ReplyWaitress was nice BUT that's it!
The Barn IS NOT what it used to be! Our lunch was over priced and not the quality you'd expect. For 3 older ladies it cost us 54.00 and 2 of us drank "free" water. It was 3pm and the salad bar wasn't fresh and stocked properly, the chopped head lettuce bowl was half filled and it was wilted and brown and right in front of me a worker dumped another pile of lettuce on top of the poor looking lettuce that was already in that bowl! Thats NOT proper food handling!! My 83 yr old Mother said her chippy ham sandwich was the THINEST ham sandwich she'd ever had there was 3 thin half slices on that bun! And it cost 7.00! This is SAD & it will be a long long time before we will ever return or suggest the Barn again!! OWNERS need to pay attention and fix these issues!!

Be the first to ReplyLunch at the Barn
My friend and I hadn’t eaten at the Barn in years but decided to take a little road trip to visit. We both had the soup, salad and bread bar. The soup was hot and delicious. The salad bar was fresh and wonderful. Our waitress was a complete delight. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Stopped here on a Thursday night. Service was great. Peoples attitudes were awesome. They have a massive salad bar and a bread bar. They were both excellent. Our server took good care of us too. Blueberry bread is amazing. Will definitely be back for the meat buffet. Best coleslaw award is here. We had Tilapia and chopped steak entrees.

Salad, soup & bread bar is one of the best around. Have to drive a ways but worth it. Service is alway kind and friendly.
Be the first to ReplyWOW - WHAT A RESTAURANT!
We were literally driving a back road heading to Cleveland and we stumbled upon this beautiful white barn! We turned around and checked it out - BOY are we glad we did. They have a buffet and a sit down menu restaurant - we opted for the menu! They have a bread bar with honey butter and the best blueberry bread I've ever had. Then it gets better - simple roast beef, mashed potatoes w/gravy and green beans arrive - piping hot and literally the roast beef melts in your mouth! Then comes pie: cherry and coconut cream - definitely the holy grail of a perfect meal. Take the time and get off the interstate just to eat here - a beautiful setting in a lovely town in Ohio! You couldn't ask for a better dinner anywhere! Everyone was so friendly and, Heidi, are waitperson was simply lovely!
Be the first to ReplyDon't order a burger
I ordered a burger w Swiss cheese and it was terrible. I ended up throwing it away because it was so dry and crumbly. I have ordered takeout soup before and it was good so will go back to that next time.

Made the 45 minute drive to have a nice Sunday afternoon late lunch! According to TripAdvisor they are open til 8pm - WRONG they close at 3pm on Sunday! Please wait the hours so people don’t waste expensive gas to drive there only to find out they are closed!

We tried here tonight. A confusing place. It's 2 separate restaurants. The upstairs is a order off the menu. It looks inviting. We tried the downstairs restaurant which is a buffet only. No menu items. Totally different than upstairs. It was expensive $17.95 per person. The buffet was not refilled while we were there. No Salisbury steak, very little meatloaf and no ham. We were the about 40 minutes and it was not replenished. A typical buffet, soup, salad, meat items and sides. It was busy. Our waitress was friendly but she didn't refilled our drinks or removed plates. Nothing my wife and I liked on the hot buffet. The salad bar was ok. My son like the meatloaf. If we come back, it will be for the upstairs restaurant. The buffet was not good and expensive! Sorry I forgot the pictures.
Be the first to ReplyNo masks on servers!
We always enjoy our lunch here but decided not to stay since no employees were wearing masks. The restaurant was busy and people were waiting in a line. Perhaps we are being overly cautious but thought we would share this for others who may feel the same.

I've eaten here several times, but it's been a few years. Stopped in for lunch while in the area. Love the Barn; food is good. Nice place to stop.
Be the first to ReplyGreat homey place
We spotted this restaurant on the way back from a trip, and decided it looked nice for a quick breakfast. We entered and the place was very nice and had old timey decor. The salad wagon was great and had soooo many things to put on your salad. Everything was really fresh. We also ordered some soup and the broccoli cheddar and chicken noodle were both great. Then we had some chicken which was served in decent portions which helped fill that last space of room in our stomachs. The fish tilapia was also delicious. After you eat, you can have a nice walk in the stores and feed the cute ducks. Totally reccomend.

Went here after shopping in the area. I got the mushroom mozzarella hamburger with the one trip salad bar. Due to COVID19 they have a worker at the salad bar and she fixes the salad per your specifications. The salad was good and my burger was very good. My mom got the philly cheese steak and barn fries which were also very good. My sister got the hamburger and one trip salad bar.
Every worker did have a mask and they also had quite a few hand sanitizer stations.
Don't miss
Just a great place to go. All the food looked great. We had to choose and everything was great. Our server was Patty she is a special lady. We ate there again and the buffet was avialiable. Thanks patty. We are lucky to have met you.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful country setting with stellar food
Drove 45 minutes to have dinner here g F or the first time. The barn, the lake, the grounds, the decor inside was all inviting. We were seated immediately and had a very nice waitress. I had roast beef and mashed potatoes that were so good they rivaled my grandmas from my childhood. I look forward to taking the family again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and beautiful property
All the staff were very friendly.
We were served some really great food.
We recommend the sirloin beef tips with mushrooms.
This is a great destination. The property is beautiful with a lake and walking path. Several swings for grown ups and children down by the lake.
The old house has been renovated and used as antique shop. There is other shopping right on the property as well.
Nice place! Highly recommend.
Stop for lunch with grandson
Stop for lunch with our 3 -year old grandson. He loves to feed the ducks on beautiful pond next to restaurant. He loves their broccoli cheese soup. I tried it and agree it was very satisfying.
It has variety of foods with optional soup and salad only bar. Food is tasty and reasonably priced.
