If you stay at the Wynn Tower, as I was, then there is room credit of $50 for breakfast in the Wynn, at either Tableau or the buffet. I ate at Tableau on all three mornings, as I much prefer this option to a buffet.
The first day I had the waffles with apple butter, very large portion of light fluffy waffles which I enjoyed, I had the orange zest juice to wash it all down. The second day I ordered the European breakfast, which is three poached eggs (I only wanted two) with a choice of toast, three small pastries and a plate containing cheese and cold meats as well as some berries. This comes with juice and tea or coffee. The third morning, because I had struggled with the portion size the waiter suggested that I have a half portion of the pancakes which come with blueberry sauce and a lemon curd on the side. I ordered these, the orange zest drink and a small plate of fresh fruit which I had boxed up and ate later in the day. The pancakes, as with everything else there, were delicious. The fruit was berries, melon, pineapple and watermelon.
As well as breakfast I also had soup for lunch twice at Tableau, the day I arrived I had the chicken noodle soup. This was not so much noodles as tiny pillows of ravioli filled with chicken with the clear chicken soup poured over the pasta at the table. It was very tasty as was the butternut squash soup I had on my final day staying there. This had a vaguely curried flavour to it, and was very thick. My only gripe was that I was seated at a table on my own and the staff split a large party up so that half were sat at a table for five one side of me and half at a table the other side. They made me feel so uncomfortable that I left rather than staying and finishing my drink there. It would have been better if the staff had asked me to move to another empty table to sit the large party as I would have done this happily and there were plenty of other tables.
The weather while I was there was clear and sunny although it was late January so I was able to sit outside under the patio heaters. The service in Tableau is excellent, and the food is good. I loved lingering on the patio eating my breakfast and watching the very cheeky and very fat sparrows who hang around looking for crumbs!
