Sushi Yasuda New York Reviews from The Last Year
I was sooo disappointed in the quality of sushi at this
I was sooo disappointed in the quality of sushi at this Michelins star restaurant. The rice and the fish did not mesh well. The rice was not sticking and was easily broken. Sorry, I would not come back again. Michelin reviewer should visit and re-evaluate ASAP. You would delist immediately.
This is the most expensive omakase for the worst quality!
This is the most expensive omakase for the worst quality! And I have gone up and down Japan and to Beverly Hills with Masuhitsa to Odo here jn NYC. The level of service is closed to nonexistent. $170 for 15 pieces of hard rice topped with fish. Nothing special. I could have gone to Whole Foods and gotten better quality fish and rice all for $30! This place made Sugarfish look so good. The only thing positive was the cleanliness of the place. $170 and done in one hour.
Wish I had read more recent reviews and not trusted old
Wish I had read more recent reviews and not trusted old ones so much. The sushi itself was pretty tasty, some pieces were maybe the best quality I've ever had. However, the presentation and preparation was nothing special and kind of lazy. I was done in 50 minutes doing the "unlimited" omakase and ate quite a lot, it just came out very quickly with not nearly as much thought or care into the delivery/dressing of each dish as I'm used to especially with a Michelin Star omakase. I felt very rushed out and could barely hear the limited introduction to each dish and if I ever asked him to repeat himself he seemed quite annoyed to be doing so.
Wonderful Omakase Birthday dinner at the sushi bar.
We did the 16 piece set and it was more than enough, and really made for a memorable and special dinner. So fresh, incredible quality, and seasoned perfectly so that you didn't even need any soy sauce. Service was wonderful and they were so kind and attentive. Clean minimalist Japanese aesthetics, but it still exuded a warm welcoming environment. Stand outs included the Hokkaido Uni, Norwegian King salmon, Toro, Maguro, and Ikura. Honestly, it was all truly amazing, but next time we may ask to omit the squid (too chewy). Beautiful fruit presentation with a bday candle at the end, with an aromatic hojicha tea was a lovely way to end the lovely dinner. We just love Yasuda and can't wait to return again.
Haven't been in a while until tonight.
Will not be coming back. This used to be one of the best. Tonight - overpriced and below average. 15 piece omakase served on 3 plates in 27 mins. Will not be going back for a long time. Care and quality has dropped significantly.
Easily the worst Michelin starred restaurant I've ever been
Easily the worst Michelin starred restaurant I've ever been to. I would never recommend this place to anyone I know and the price wasn't even that bad.
Easily the worst sushi experience I've had in the city.
I literally have 0 clue how this place has a Michelin Star. I could find better sushi in any suburb of Manhattan ten times over.
Great place for sushi , no question.
I been most of the finest sushi places and this is one of my favorite place. Fresh sushi and good service. Upscale , Quite
The food,service,and ambiance were spectacular.
Make sure to reserve first. The uni was very good it's a must try.
Came here for lunch today, made a reservation about 1 week
Came here for lunch today, made a reservation about 1 week ago. Overall was not hard to reserve. They opened the door at noon sharp and we were seated. I sat by the bar and ordered the 15 course omakase. The restaurant was really spacious and very well organized, it gave off a very clean vibe and the set up was perfect for both group dining and solo dining. The server was very nice, brought cleansing towels and introduced the menu. During the course of the meal, my water was always full bc they were always paying attention to refill it, which I really appreciated. The chef was very nice, he asked if we had food allergies and if we wanted to replace anything before starting the omakase. The food was of course amazing. You can tell the fish quality was very fresh and top notch. It tastes different than any random sushi place bc the fish was extra soft and juicy. Most courses already have soy sauce or some kind of sauce on it so did not even need to use soy sauce. Overall it came out to about $220 after tax/tip. I would say for a casual sushi meal, I likely would not choose this place and would go somewhere with more bang for your buck; but for a sushi lover, this was a unique and great experience. Would recommend this place for sure!

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
