Wow
I am living in Seattle so no stranger to fresh seafood or sushi. This place was incredible. Better than any sushi I have ever had. The chef was so nice and the experience was very cool. The only thing I didnโt like was the uni, which I have never had before. My husband liked it though.
Be the first to ReplyUnfortunately Terrible.
Terrible experience. Went on a second date. There was a bug in one of the sushi pieces. There was no offer to do anything other than replace the piece. I was treated as if I had done something wrong?? I called the next morning (after paying more than $300) to discuss with a manager, to only have a very loud angry man cause me of lying and hung up on me 3x. The unprofessionalism is astounding. And clearly they take no responsibility in having a dirty kitchen. They don't deserve your money or to be in business. I will now post this, and dispute the charge. Unfortunate.

Donโt trust them. Tiny pieces of second rate sushi. Go to gari, Ishikawa etc. what a disgrace. Total joke.
Be the first to ReplyNo spicy tuna. No rolls. Trust me.
That's the sign outside the door.
If you're enamoured with hip and hyped soy-drowned raw fish to instagram, give this place a miss. This is going to cost you $50 for the starting omakase lunch offering of 6 pieces of sushi and a handroll accompanied by requests from your server to NOT add soy. The hole in the wall ambiance is unlikely to yield a good selfie. You'll generate a lot more likes for the $50 at the nearest Zuma - Just like Tokyo, sans the dedication, uniqueness and taste.
Sasabune on the other hand came close to chef owned and run tiny sushi spots in Tokyo, where asking for soy would lead to you being shown the door were the Japanese not so courteous.
Highly recommended. Go for Tokyo class sushi at an understated neighbourhood joint.
Amazing Hidden Gem
Leave it to the Chef. Delicacies!!
Every bite was heavenly. The variety of tastes is amazing. And follow instructions. You will not be deceivedโฆ
The best menu ever
Trust me, The best menu ever. Let the sushi master do whatโs the best for you and make no question. Ask for the table in front of him

Wonderful sushi restaurant. It's quiet, low key, with great ambiance and of course great sushi. The chef is friendly and warm, and the service is attentive. Highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyVery good but not as good as it was
It was the best Japanese restaurant in town. Quality is still good, quantity has diminished, service is ....whatever, price has increased dramatically. So .... go somewhere else.

Great. Everything made sense and quality was fantastic all around. Easy atmosphere with super tasty food, tasty list of Sake. Thank you.

A party of 6 for omakase dinner. I usually want to pick what sushi I am served, but this time went with the flow of the rest of my party and let the chef choose.
The fish was simply amazing. Every item was brought out was timed perfectly and presented so that no one could resist the delights. Two at the table commented that the shrimp served was the best they'd ever had.
Our 13 year old son was part of our group and while he is a fairly adventurous eater he has not matured to the point that an entire meal of sushi is something he would want. They had other options for more selective diners.
