I arrived on a Wednesday at 18:05. The waiting line was already huge. 1.5 hours later, at 19:35, it was finally my turn. At 19:15, while I was still waiting outside, the staff put a sign on the entrance door stating the waiting list was full and they would not accept new customers that evening. The staff was super friendly. When I entered the restaurant, all cooks cheered. They do this every time a customer walks in. Given the extremely long waiting time, I was surprised to see several empty tables. I was impressed by how fast they served my order though. In less than 30 min. I was done eating and on my way out. The quality of the food was good, especially the tuna sashimi and grilled eel. However, the maki were 4x bigger than the average maki, because of which eating them was extremely difficult. Eating a gigantic maki that fits for only 25% in your mouth while using chopsticks naturally results in a big mess. I don't know if it's their signature dish to serve gigantic sushi pieces, but it ruined my dinner experience. I felt uncomfortable, messy and awkward. Was it worth it to wait 1.5 hours to eat here? No. There are plenty of sushi places in Tokyo in the same price range that serve the same or even better quality food. Not sure why Sushi No Midori is so popular.
