Mother of mercy delicious.
We started with the wild duck appetizer that was one of the most delicious preparations of duck I've ever had. Incredibly moist and tender. WOW. I also tried the oyster sampler. The calamansi version was out of this world. My boyfriend got the poached cod with hollondaise which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I opted for butter fried char, and I licked that plate clean. The menu changes everyday based on market ingredients. Outstanding.

Quite hard to find the entrance to this restaurant, but once you're there it's amazing! Tasteful decor with food that matches. A ton of really creative flavors and textures in all of their dishes, highly reccomend.

Overpriced meal, everything was salty, stale flatbread. No water is offered. Tip was added to bill without being asked by waiter. Would not come back.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious Oysters , salmon , and halibut.
Great night . Staff was great. Glad we stopped.

We were promptly seated and the restaurant is used to handling large groups for lunch. They are known for seafood and beef tartar which is Danish cuisine. Nothing memorable about the experience except its location because we could barely enjoy the conversation due to the loud jackhammer on the roof. Apparently they are moving so wait until they move or eat somewhere else.

We lunched splitting a sole dish with mussels, langoustine soup, and a veggie pasta. Everything was satisfactory but would not compel a return visit to check out the rest of the menu. The outdoor dining was well set up and service was prompt.

Average atmosphere but the food and especially the service make up for it. Thanks, Karl, for a delicious and memorable night.

Be the first to ReplyOne of our favorite restaurants in Stockholm.
We often come here after flights, even if it's around midnight because it's one of our family's comfort spots. Trendy and bustling, with patrons demonstrating the type of class and manners one can only find in Scandinavia, this is a must visit if an Stockholm. Our favorites are always the Norwegian cold salmon and skagenröra on toast. We usually come here several times when we are back in Scandinavia.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding seafood restaurant in classy setting.
Came here for lunch. White linen tablecloth service with many fresh fish entrees to choose from. Fresh langostinos deep fried - best ever experienced. Butter cooked Coalfish with creative sides. Superb. Would definitely make this a destination for dinner sometime to accompany these fine fish entrees with one of their fine French white wines. You won't be disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyThis is one of my favorite places in Stockholm.
You see all range of ages from midd to upper class. I like the fact that you can spend a whole night in the same establishment from afternoon drinks to dinner, more drinks and then heading up to the club and you'd sure have a great time.
Be the first to ReplyWe have been here many times and have enjoyed Calf liver.
This time we ordered fish dishes: Quenelles of pike from Kalix, Dublin bay prawn and Lemon sole, Capris, Beetroot and browned butter. To this a bottle of red house wine.Excellent dThe staff are very courteous and treat new as old customer with great respect.Go there and enjoyToday we revisited Sturehof and had lemon Sole on the bone but were disappointed as the fish was rather small and the peas were very hard and capers were missing! This restaurant has a not acceptable variance in quality of served dishes. We hope that the kitchen will sharpen up until we come back next time.

Excellent place if you're looking for quality food, good ambience and late night. Menu is updated daily. Everything is fresh. I had cod and shrimp with hollandaise sauce and potatoes. Bread is made from scratch in-house and is very fresh! You will never be disappointed by this place.

Great location for people watching, catching some sun and relaxing. Excellent service and food as well.I had shrimp egg salad (classic Swedish) and my husband had eggs royale. A bit salty but delicious. We did not find it to be any more than the $$ restaurants.

What an institution! It's pretty large inside, so don't be intimidated by the full seating outside. There's more than enough room for no wait. While you wait for your food, you'll be served a delicious caviar cream spread, yum.We ordered:- Assiettes assorties of 3: Sturhof herring, matjes herring, prawns in mayonnaise (165 SEK)- Seared scallop from Hitra, celeriac crème, trout roe and watercress (160 SEK)- "Dalarö sandwich", smoked herring, vendace roe and egg yolk (195 SEK)- 15cl 2015 Weinbach Gewurztraminer (210 SEK)- 15cl Jadot Meursault (240 SEK)I'd recommend the Sturhof herring and the scallop. I'd recommend against the sandwich if you're not used to this type of cuisine. The pickled, smokiness was pretty hard to handle. We also had some of the Coravin wine after the intro from our waiter which we enjoyed immensely.

I had heard about this restaurant before I arrived to the city and my expectations were extremely high. I am not saying that I was disappointed but, I wasn't very pleased either. I tried the Oysters, Meatballs and the Lobster and they were all average good. The best part about this restaurant is that it is located in the South of Stureplan in Stockholm which is the heart of Stockholm. Reservation is required and they say that they require jackets, but that's not true, Half of the crowd was wearing casual. From my understanding, this location is a little historic since the founder opened the place about a 100 years ago and it used to be a meeting spot and a very high end place in the past. Lots of locals, reservation is required, but NOT a unique place that really impressed me.

This is for sure a local crowd and the after-work scene on the patio was lively. It was amazing out so I waited like 30mins for a table on the patio. Staff was really friendly and engaging, the food was tremendous and the cadence of the meal was perfect. The wine list rocks, their take on traditional Swedish food was amazing (get all 5 herrings!) and I really couldn't have asked for anything more.

It is coasting on its longtime status as a central party place and meeting point for Swedish b-list celebrities, business people, tourists and weekend revellers (similar vibe and style to NYC's Meatpacking area). Perfunctory but passable food, lackluster and slow service, with a too high price tag. Most people seem to come for the scene though.
