Bad Service, Bad Food
We went to this restaurant for Thanksgiving and the rooftop is really nice, but not the food or the service. The waitress was not friendly, we ordered for the kids the Thanksgiving Special of course turkey, cranberry salad, etc. the presentation of the plate was not good all mixed up together and the turkey was completely hard like a rock from the inside and outside so hard to even slice it, the Cowgirl Ribeye was dry and hard to eat, they didn’t have the ribeye that I wanted, I asked for a cranberry vodka drink and they didn’t have Blue Absolut, the drink they gave me with other vodka was horrible, of course we didn’t try dessert. We are not coming back to this restaurant again.

The destination is first class. Beautiful rooftop patio on a warm Arizona evening. We were a group of 12 on a boy's weekend. For those of us that had steak, it was excellent. For the price point, the quantity of food and level of service were lacking. Our waitress was serving several tables and didn't provide the attention we should have received. In this case, we were underserved. By time we were offered a second drink, we were all but finished our dinner. I had the sea bass - it couldn't have been more than 2 or 3 ounces, served on what was maybe one piece of bok choy. I regret not having taken a picture. The seafood platter failed to deliver given the $200+ price for 4 people. Other than the rooftop patio, we were able to find a superior steakhouse during our stay to make up for this mistake. One and out, never to return!
Be the first to ReplyBest Girls Night Ever!

Kenny the manager was awesome and had Amelia was a fantastic server! The food was delicious! Even the hostess was sweet and took pictures for us! Can't wait to come back!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Tbone steak!
Jard provided us with the best STK experience ever! 5 stars!! Food was amazing and he was a funny down to earth guy for our first time!
Be the first to ReplyGreat atmosphere. So so food.
High energy music and a great atmosphere. Food…. Ot so great. Steaks were just ok and side dishes (mushroom confit and creamed spinach) were inedible. No on par with other steakhouse options and waaaay overpriced. Skip the food and enjoy drinks instead.
Be the first to ReplyLoud , overpriced , not my jam
I would say first of all it seems like you either love this place or it’s not for you! Doesn’t seem like much of a middle ground. The place is first off super loud which is strange in a supposed classier place. Feels nightclub ish while you eat a steak. The food is actually pretty tasty however it comes at a pretty expensive price. The steaks we all got were delicious for sure. The sides and appys are hit or miss. $24-30 salads and $19 sides …choose wisely - the calamari is small dish and basic , asparagus is basic , the Brussels sprouts were actually good but how many of those can you eat anyways. I would say everyone had a good time and the service was attentive and good. The thing is it wasn’t for me …lots of money for a meal you could easily get anywhere you spin the wheel.

Very average and overpriced meal in a loud, obnoxious setting. If you’re looking for a good meal in a classy setting, go elsewhere.

If you travel to Scottsdale, AZ STK is a must stop destination! We decided to go to STK for the first time for our wedding anniversary and it was the best decision! Jared was our waitor and from start to finish he made the experience so special. He took time to educate us on the menu and knew even the origins of where things like the cows are raised and what different types of butter complement each cut and the perfect wine to pair. Everyone was so friendly and personable which is hard to come by now and days. We will DEFINITELY be back to STK and to make sure Jared is our server!!!

Wow. First time visiting and last time back. We were there for a friends birthday and it was a disappointment from start to finish. First of all, while the prices are pretty standard for Scottsdale they’re INSANE for what you get here. Started with a $21 martini, basic martini nothing fancy. Most other steak houses in town this would be served in a large martini glass with a shaker on the side… nope. Small martini glass no frills. Salad: Ordered a wedge salad, which we asked to be chopped (they would not) and the dressing tasted like it was out of a plastic hidden valley bottle, did not finish. $24 Main: Asked the server what she recommended for a steak, I typically like a ribeye, and I was told the Delmonico was the best they had “a super thick cut ribeye with lots of marbeling, best steak in house…” so I ordered that medium… LOL when I tell you I’ve seen a better looking ribeye from the counter at Bashas I AM NOT EXAGGERATING! It came to the table and I was shocked. It might have been an inch thick (that’s generous) and it was medium well plus! I don’t typically send things back but I did because I feel like when you’re paying $112 for a steak, at the very least it should be cooked the way you ordered it. The next attempt was rushed; brown around the edges and basically raw in the center and just tasted salty…. Did not finish. Multiple items at the table were sent back for being over/ under cooked. . I ordered a side of chimichurri and horse radish which is considered a “sauce plate” and consists of two tiny silver ramekins for $16. Sides: Asparagus- basic super thick and stringy $19 Mashed potatoes - had a chunky consistency and a burnt flavor from whatever char was on top. $19 Desert: Didn’t bother. Honestly, don’t waste your time. For $400 for two people I suggest you visit one of the many other amazing steak houses in a Scottsdale Steak 44, Maple and Ash, The Americano, Fat Ox, Ocean 44, City Hall… the list goes on.
Be the first to ReplyAtmosphere: very trendy, party ambiance. Food: good. Service: good but slow
I had made Saturday night dinner reservations for 4 at 7:00, upon arrival, the placed was packed. Obviously a very popular dining scene. The entreway, very instagrammable with decorated wall to pose for your photos. The inside dining and bar were extremely loud, fortunately we were given the option to dine outside, patio seating which worked out perfectly. We were dining with out of town guest that we hadn't seen in awhile and wanted to catch-up. Our server, very nice young lady took our drink orders while we caught up and perused the menu. We ordered 1/2 dozen Oysters on the half shell, Jalapeno Pickled Shrimp Cocktail, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, Filet and Lobster Surf and Turf with the Wagyu Unami Butter, Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, Asparagus and Yukon Gold Mash Potatoes. I will say the service was very slow, limited staff with a lot of tables to tend to... again it worked for us because we were catching up. The food all tasted good, wasn't a WOW though, everything prepared to order. My only complaint was the size of the shrimp which were hidden under the pickled jalapenos were only the size of a large shrimp... for $33, was not worth it. Be expected to have a hefty bill as we did. Would I revisit again?, maybe not with so many other steak places to go, but if you are coming for the experience it's worth a try. Atmosphere: very trendy, party ambiance. Food: good. Service: good but slow (understaffed for a weekend night)

Went to STK for some drinks and applies - got served by Ale - so pleasant and personable - made us feel so welcome. She is THE gold standard when it comes to service - thank you Ale !
Be the first to ReplyQuite Nice Sunday Lunch.
Yes, it's a chain. We needed some respite in Old Town Scottsdale following a crazy Saturday night. There is a large, wrap-around veranda at which to laze in the sun. The food is not spectacular, and the service expectedly average. Again, it's a chain, so I didn't have high expectations. The Wagyu Beef Burger is a bargain at $9.99. It was fabulous. I highly recommend it. The potato fries, aka French fries, aka pommes frites, were excellent. We didn't touch the table bread, since were having carb-overload with the buns and fries, but the thought was nice. On the other end of the affordability scale, $21 for a teeny Margarita, served in a tiny champagne saucer, was exorbitant. Overall, as expected. Would we return, yes, but only for their Wagyu Burgers, which we both believe to be their "loss leader".
Be the first to ReplyPerfect spot for date night (ask for Kelton as your server!)
My boyfriend and I visited STK in December to celebrate the holidays. Between the menu options, ambience of the restaurant, and staff members, we had an exceptional experience. The food is always our favorite in Scottsdale but this visit was extra special as we had Kelton as a server. Kelton went above and beyond, offered menu recommendations, and never seemed to be in a hurry. He made every one of his tables feel welcomed and valued as he was a great conversationalist. When we return to this location, we will definitely ask for Kelton again!
Be the first to ReplyLamb is superb
Just had a phenomenal rack of New Zealand lamb. Golden potatoes and Brussel sprouts wonderful as well. Quality mixed drinks to complete the experience. Didn’t expect this…but definitely look forward to doing it again!
Be the first to ReplyNo ambiance, exceptionally loud and overcrowded
Our family of four chose STK for Christmas Eve dinner. To some extent it’s expected that holidays are busy but sadly the “zoo factor” was in full force on Christmas Eve . My disappointment started with the observation of an overbooked establishment with at least 20 guests waiting in the entry; the crowd spilled over into the outside on the patio /stair landing entry to STK. This tragic sight of frustrated patrons was completely unnecessary and was clearly the result of poor capacity planning by the management. Crowding the entry were the additional tables must have been added to accommodate the seasonal crowd; how incorrigible it was to see putting on their happy face while trying their best to enjoy their $150 a plate at the edge of the bar that crowded into the waiting area. I took the extra step of calling ahead to confirm seating arrangements – asked specifically for a booth. After a 40 minute wait after our reservation time we were, much to our chagrin, seated in bar. The music was deafening and spoiled any semblance of ambiance; so loud that one could barely converse with the person seating across from you. That all said, our dining experience turned favorable with what can only be described as exceptional wait staff that provided friendly, accommodating and professional service despite the challenging onslaught of customer demand. Arrival of dishes was in line with culinary standards; wine decanting in all. A tip of the cap and complement the chefs as they took the high demand in stride with superbly prepared New York strips and sides. The Cesar salad was arguably one of the best ever with a balance of sumptuous dressing and croutons to die for. The bacon Mac and cheese was simply awesome. Perhaps I’m a tad old school for the apparent ‘hip vibe’ of STK as I’d prefer a quieter atmosphere.

It says a lot that when you stop into a new restaurant for lunch, and before you've finished your meal, you've already gone online to book a dinner reservation. STK Scottsdale has the perfect mix of perfectly aged steaks, an impressive wine list and perfect ambiance.

Be the first to ReplyLike eating steak at a rave
The steak and not your fathers old fashioned were fantastic! The service was a bit rushed and not personable. We had a reservation for 6:15, and by the time we got to our steaks, the music turned from loud to, “I’m trying to eat my steak in a club and can’t hear myself think let alone have a conversation with the three people I was dining with.” So once the music was that loud, it was almost uncomfortable to finish our food and it definitely made us not want to stay for more drinks or for deserts. We ended up going elsewhere to finish the evening where we could have conversation.
Be the first to ReplySTK Experience always a pleasure
If you are looking for a fine dining experience, STK offers fine dining in many locations. I have dined at STK Steakhouse in Las Vegas, and STK Steakhouse in Scottsdale is very comparable in both cuisine and experience. The restaurant itself is located is a very safe area with many option restaurants as well. There is angled parking available; however, I imagine this area to get quite busy during mealtimes. We chose to valet park – it was only $9. We had a group of eight and were able to make a reservation without issues for a Wednesday evening. When we arrived, it was not busy at all, maybe a handful of couples scattered throughout the restaurant. The space did fill up though as the night wore on. Our dining experience took about three hours from start to finish, which is normal for an establishment like STK. STK is about the experience, and of course the customer service is sublime! Our large group was attended to very well during our entire experience. Now, as I mentioned, STK is fine dining and a steakhouse, so expect the prices to reflect that. There is a Tomahawk Steak on the menu for $157! The side dishes are prepared and served family-style. We ordered a few different appetizers for the table to start our meal – Burrata, Bacon and Calamari. All excellent dishes. Most of the members of our party ordered steaks, but I ordered the Salmon, and I was pleased with both the serving size and preparation. The side dishes we ordered ranged from brussel sprouts to mac n cheese. The serving size on each side dish could easily be shared among three to four people comfortably. STK as a dining option is a great experience to be had, but I will note that STK is a louder restaurant – not romantic in my opinion. If you are ready to party with your meal, STK is an excellent option. The music is up, and as the night goes on it seems to get louder and more “night club-like.” Not a bad thing, but just something of note when you are planning your dining experience. As always, in this post-pandemic world, make a reservation, and be sure to enjoy the experience of STK Steakhouse.
Be the first to ReplySeriously… do NOT waste your money here
DO NOT COME HERE WITH A LARGE GROUP. I reserved a table (note, just one table) for a group of 13 months in advance. We arrive at the restaurant and they told us it would be a few minutes before our table was ready. Ok fine. We proceeded to wait a full hour before being seated (which seemed to be the case with every party there that night) and they then told us they were breaking our group into two tables right next to each other, which were next to each other but we were in no way able to talk to each other. I saw this happen to multiple large groups who had reservations that night and they were just as infuriated at we were. I did not book the reservation for two tables, and if they couldn’t fit us at one table that should’ve been flagged when I was booking the reservation. The food was just OK. Definitely wayyyy overpriced and they messed up a lot of things (mainly steak temp) and they in no way tried to make up for the fact that we were having a terrible experience except taking off the steak they messed up off the bill. The hostesses were incredibly rude (and they clearly did not know how to do their job) and the managers couldn’t care less about our bad experience. Our waitress was absolutely lovely but that was the only good thing. My advice: don’t come here unless you are in a group of 2, or just don’t come here at all.

Be the first to Reply1 Star Catastrophic Fail
This place is a Catastrophic Fail on many fronts. I waited 5 days before posting this thus allowing time to mellow my review. I should have known better when 200 of the 500 people who reviewed this place wouldn’t have recommend it! But on Mother’s Day, Momma rules and she wanted to try it. Let me start by saying we were not the party from hell. We were all happy, smiling, laid back and in general a real fun table to serve. We were a party of 5 year round local folk. Since this is a 1 star review, let me start with the straw that broke broke the camel’s back and then work forward with all the minor events that make this a total 1 star catastrophic restaurant on multiple fronts. Two of the entrees ordered were the rack of lamb, to be cooked medium rare/pink. For a steak house this should have been a no brainer to accomplish. Both orders arrived a beautiful pink medium rare and absolutely DEAD COLD, not even remotely warm to the touch. Both orders were sent back to the kitchen and returned to us within minutes. The rack of lamb was now a piping hot medium well, brown in color with no pink left to be seen. A true miracle of the microwave era (or broiler). The lamb made a final trip back to the kitchen for repair. But like the carpenter who cut it 3 times and found it was still too short, the same plate were returned but this time in even worse condition. One order was reluctantly kept and the other order returned. Even a 5 year old knows you can’t keep cooking something to make it more rare! No one offered a “sincere” apology or offered to make a new order or bring out something else. In short, they hoped to create a fairy tail miracle by keep cooking the lamb to make it rare again (can you do that?). It was only at the end of the dinner did the manager come over to tell me that we would not be charged for the 2 orders of lamb one of which was picked at and the other never received. The manager was totally useless. Now on to the rest of the experience at STK. We ate outside because it was so noisy inside you couldn’t talk to one another. Outside the speakers were loud and not adjustable but tolerable. The $21 margaritas were ordered on the rocks with salt. All 5 arrived without salt and were incredibly lacking alcohol but tasted good. The water served with the meal was the temperature of tepid bath water (thankfully no soap). When asked for ice, it took forever to get. The “glom” of dough they called bread was cold (on their defense, maybe it was supposed to be cold?). The server knew little or nothing of sanitation. She partially bussed her own tables and then picked up water glasses by the rim with dirty hands from dirty bussed dishes (yuk). A busser would fill 2 water glasses, leave 3 empty and move on to fill glasses at another table (with more warm water) thus requiring a 10 minute wait for ice. After the table was cleared we were ready to order dessert & coffee. Instead of bringing a dessert menu, our server brought the check. We looked at each other, laughed and basically said “screw it”, paid the check and went for dessert down the street. We were ready to leave anyways! In short, this place is a joke. The prices charged are in line with Mastro’s, Ocean Club, Ruth’s Chris, Steak 44, etc but the service, food, atmosphere and MANAGEMENT are a farce. Look at the reviews. They have almost as many 1 star as they have 5 stars. Could this possibly be a case of 5 star harvesting from friends and family to offset their culinary failure?? In summary, you guessed it, with so many great restaurants in the area, I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND STK.

Great bartender and decent drinks. I love the outdoor patio. It is too loud for me inside. The prices were quite high on all the food and not sure it was worth it.
