Stags' Leap Winery Napa Reviews from The Last Year
History and wine
What an interesting tour of this beautiful home! It was fascinating to learn the history. Our host Stephen was so knowledgeable about the home and the wine, which was delicious. I’m so glad we visited here!
Manor House Experience
We did a reservation with Stags’ Leap Winery thinking that it was Stag's Leap Wine Cellars. But I am glad we made that mistake. This winery is beautiful. The tour was very interesting and informative. I liked that we were able to go to different rooms and taste so many amazing wines. Our host was very knowledgeable, kind and funny. She made me laugh a lot. I definitely will visit this winery again.
Great wine- about 90 minute experience
A great lesson in history of the family and legacy of Stags Leap from the Speak Easy to the first family pool in the US. And great wines served by a sommelier.
Exquisite!
We did the ‘the Leap Tasting Experience’ with Steven and it was great!!! Steven was exqisite and he walked us through the historical sights in the winery and explained the background of the black labeled wines that were exclusive at the winery during the tasting. Will definitely come back with my twin snd family again!
Quick stop, superb winery!
We stopped in only to grab a gift but ended up staying about an hour. We were assisted by Madi who is a superb representative of Stags Leap, super knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to ensure she answered all questions. She provided excellent advice on a couple wines to try; I ended up buying two bottles based purely on her suggestions and knowledge. I’m definitely coming back to Stags Leap with my family whenever we are back in Napa Valley. Such a great experience!
Good time, great wine.
Great experience and tasting. Steve gave an awesome presentation and knowledgeable on the history. Would definitely go back.
I recommend
Beautiful place with exceptional wines. To visit is incredible. the place is perfect, it is well worth the visit, the wines are exceptional.
History, Beauty, and Delicious Wines
I participated in the Manor House Experience tour and tasting, and it was wonderful. We learned fascinating history of the area, the family, and the winery (in particular, how cleverly they survived the Prohibition Era) from a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. We had a wonderful tour of the Manor House and some of the grounds - an incredibly beautiful estate - followed by a seated tasting. The wines were delicious, the setting is among the absolute most beautiful in Napa Valley, and I am now a new member of their Manor House Porch Society. Definitely worth a visit!

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
