The food was great, as well as the service.
Our server came often, asking us how our food was, filling water glasses, and explaining the dishes to us. We ordered the cashew appetizer, green tofu curry, braised pork and the southern chicken skewers, as well as sticky and jasmine rice. All the dishes were delicious, and everything except the rice was priced very reasonably. To be honest, I would give this a 4.5 star review, but that isn't possible on yelp.
Be the first to ReplyThe WORST experience we had in London.
The hostess sat us right next to the toilets and kitchen prep so the food was directly above our heads. We asked to be moved as we did not want to be next to the restroom. The staff was being really difficult with our request even though the restaurant was 90% empty and their excuses were extremely bizarre.First, they said there were reservations for the booths so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe those were requested beforehand. Then she claimed the booths were for bigger parties. And then again, she said the other tables had reservations as well so she wouldn't move us. I brought up the fact that we also had reservations, but she just kept saying no.Since she mentioned the other table had a reservation in 2 1/2 hours, I asked if we could eat within an hour and leave. She had to ask her manager again and finally they obliged.I was a hostess before so I understand how seating arrangements work. It was odd the hostess kept saying she needed to check with her manager if it was ok to move us. Why does she need permission to do her own job?The whole situation was off-putting so I went to speak with the manager who immediately had an arrogant attitude. He said he already created a rotation of the seats so I left it at that. The food itself was nothing special. Salty and overpriced. The only decent item on the menu was the fried fish.During our meal, we saw another party of 3 (white) that was seated then requested to be moved to the booth. The hostess immediately moved them to the booth when she previously told us the booth was for bigger parties. At this point I realized the manager and hostess discriminated against us for whatever reason. I had to say something to the manager on my way out and again, instead of apologizing he tried to give more excuses with his arrogant attitude. Not sure how he is in the hospitality industry, but he needs a lesson in customer service and restaurant etiquette.I've never been treated this way over such a simple request and am disgusted by how the manager handled the situation especially in front of my family including my mother who is a senior citizen. My mom was the one who was most upset in the beginning and I tried to calm her down, but as I saw how they gave preferential treatment to other guests I could not stay silent. And fyi, by the time we left, the restaurant was still 70% empty. Shame on you. There are SO many good restaurants in London with great food and service to match. Definitely do NOT recommend this place.

Beautiful flavors, service, and ambiance/decor. We will be back and certainly pass on the good word.

Very good Thai restaurant with great food, nice ambient and friendly staff. I had the Mu Yaang (pork shoulder, very tasty and tender, Fai Daeng (stir fry greens), Gaeng Som Pla (monkfish curry) and everything was tasty and with a good ratio of quality-quantity for the price. Both sticky and jasmine rices are good and also drinks are nice, especially the Thai Iced Tea.

The dishes were marked by curiosity, passion, intelligence, sophistication and an eye for detail. The kitchen is doing something truly wonderful that manage to guide eaters to a deeper understanding of Thai cuisine while staying true to the heritage and spirit of the classic Thai kitchen. Can't recommend it enough.

Food about £30 pp inc VAT and service. Highly recommend.

5 out of 5 stars, but I rounded up because their whole fried fish is spectacular and is the star of the show. Prices are a little steep (especially since they charge rice per person) so not your everyday dinner spot, but great for date night or that special night out.

So good I ordered a second one and ate most of it! Dessert was excellent and unique too!

The food here was absolutely delicious with lots of creativity and bursting flavors. Family style sharing and we ordered three dishes per person and it worked out well. For the plant-based peeps, lots of options available. I had the spinach with mushrooms, the salad with sesame sauce, and the veggie curry. Omg the veggie curry, I'll be back for that, and all of it to be honest!

Amazing flavors. One of my fave Thai meals of all time.We got the set (tem toh) menu: 35 pounds for a bunch of food (hard to say exactly how many courses, but we were stuffed at the end). Started with crab and mango in a lemongrass-flavored sauce, with rice cakes for dipping. Then chicken skewers, accompanied by duck in a hot sauce and sticky rice. Then garlic-flavored pak Choi and and prawn curry with a fish sauce. Then a coconut cream sauce with (maybe?) ground pork. It was hard to keep track because of all the deliciousness....aaaand because we had multiple Muay Thai kick cocktails. Yum!

Some of the best Thai food I have enjoyed since my trip there many years ago. Fresh ingredients, quality wait staff, and innovative dishes. We ordered a little bit of everything for the table to share and every single dish delivered on the perfect amount of spice and exceptional flavor. I'd give it 6 stars if it was an option!

The words I would use to describe this place would be authentic, innovative and interesting. Visiting this restaurant will introduce or remind you of the great balance of complex flavours that the Thai cuisine offers. It's completely different level to your average Thai. The chefs also own the restaurant, that has to be good?

Came to have a bite for lunch before doing some shopping, and decided to go with the chef's tasting menu. We were told that the menu was designed specifically with balance of flavors in mind. The chef did an excellent job. Starting with the chicken skewers (gai yaang pak thai), that were sweet and savory, alongside an anise forward salad (yam pak) covered with a sesame and tamarind dressing that had massive bitter, sour, and sweet flavors. The salad was the only dish that may have been too cluttered, because all of the other items were so simplistic. The rest of the dishes that followed kept getting better and better. I can't really remember exactly what they were, but they were perfectly balanced as far as flavor, texture, and even color. Truly, truly an amazing dining experience, because of how simple everything was, while having such complexity at the same time. Cannot recommend enough.

WOW. Had such an amazing experience here. The servers were knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Can't exactly remember the name of the cocktail I ordered but I'm 100% sure that if you ordered anything of the drinks menu, you couldn't go wrong. The server explained that food here is best shared and to order many plates but on our first experience here I knew we couldn't go wrong with the tasting menu. 4 entrees and a desert balanced with taste and texture and I couldn't agree more. The star of the show I have to admit was the desert. Something I rarely order from any restaurant but this I could have devoured the whole thing...and I did. Do yourselves a favor and PLEASE make this stop in London. Totally worth it and the price tag *which I find very reasonable*

Got a Som Saa voucher from my partners family for Christmas and it recommends you booking a table prior to going which was super quick and easy. The place was very busy even during lunch time and the atmosphere was buzzing with smells of Thai food.We had the Tem Toh sharing lunch which was absolutely delicious and really showed the best on what Som Saa has to offer, even having some things I wouldn't normally go for.The cocktails are also knock out with Thai twists on some classics but you have to try the Sylhet Smash if you're a fan of coconut or a Muay Thai Kick. With our voucher we only really paid for our drinks which were still very reasonable. Strongly recommend a visit as the staff are also super friendly and great at giving recommendations.
