Best waterfront dining
We recently rented a boat for a day on the intracoastal and as we traveled south from Pompano we saw a beautiful restaurant on the water. We knew we had to try it and I’m so glad we did. It could not have been any better! It was so good it has become our favorite “go to”. The food is always good, the service attentive, the prices reasonable and atmosphere is exceptional. I love the shooters salad with salmon added. Shooters is a must have on your list of places to go eat!
Be the first to ReplyVery poor service
This place is lovely. On the waterfront, watching the boats go by in the beautiful sunshine. Should be a lovely experience. Sadly not. First having to beg for an outside table, it was half empty! Then a server who was abrupt and verging on rude, especially when he realised we only wanted a drink and a snack. He couldn't bring the bill quick enough. On the plus side, delicious cocktails and flatbread. In conclusion, sort yourselves out Shooters! There are plenty of other places for tourists and locals to spend their money. We won't be back.
Be the first to ReplySad decline, not the same Shooters we have loved for years,
So disappointing! We have been going to shooters for brunch, lunch and dinner for the last 10 years and it was our “go to”, but yesterday we had brunch there for the first time this year and the decline was so sad to see. Almost as soon as we sat down, my wife and I looked at each other and said, “what is going on here, perhaps the management has changed” to the point that half way through the meal we asked our server if the management had changed recently, which she confirmed, was the case. By the time we were seated we had been told by three people that there is a 2 hour time limit on the table, it seemed that was the most import message they could convey, more important than welcoming the guests, my wife and I are not people who take two hours to eat lunch, but by the time we were being reminded by the server about the time limit, like we were deaf, I was “ yeah, we got it, 2 hrs, you are eating into our 2hrs by telling us over and over again.” It had the effect on me that I now wanted to use the table for ever last second of the time, but we dismally failed and bailed after an hour and a half! The music was just abysmal, for years they would have live music on a Sunday, they now have a DJ, who seems to just want to play reggae and steel pan music, with the odd shout out for a birthday! It was cringeworthy and irritating, shooters has never been a Caribbean vibe location, and if that’s what I wanted I would go to Margaritaville! Really disappointing ambience, the outside bar and great seating area are gone. It’s clear that the new management are all about the bottom line and profit margins, prices are up, quality, ambience and service are down. Whereas before the bottomless mimosas were fantastic, they would leave a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket at the table and it was champagne, now they come around with a screw top bottle of sparkling wine to top you as and when they remember, my mimosa hit the bottom and stood empty all to often! All in all it was a very disappointing experience if compared to the shooters we knew and loved, but I guess if you were going there for the first time, you would probably be impressed, I only hope that the greed that is driving the current management is worth it for them as I am sure many regulars will stop going and they will be relying on new clients to fill the restaurant on a strictly 2 hour limit! We will not be going again, it’s too sad to see the decline of a much loved establishment like shooters!
Be the first to ReplyMust try Shooters if you are visiting Ft. Lauderdale
The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service was great here. I am looking forward to coming back the next time I am in Fort Lauderdale. The waiter who helped me out while I was here checked on me often, was very personable, and gave me good recommendations on appetizers, entrees, and drinks. I appreciate that they gave me a great experience here even while I was dining on my own on my solo trip. I had a couple margaritas which were both good, had the calamari, which had great tasting dipping sauce, and ordered a goat cheese and beet salad which was a huge portion. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious and the presentation was 10/10.
Be the first to ReplyShoot....going downhill!
We used to love coming here but the last year and a half has been very disappointing with no end in sight! It appears that excessive greed is getting the better of management while all they want to do us push the cattle through the doors. Management has virtually eliminated all of the outdoor bar seating, except for a few seats around the fire pit, how long will they last? Their promo photos show lovely circular wicker seating arrangements that were super fun for groups...no longer, they are dumped in a parking lot and it looks like they are heading for the dump. So if you take a look around, you will likely figure out that they have squashed excessive numbers of large tables into the old bar space which made up about a quarter of the outside area. Now there is very little room to walk between the tables or to pull your chair away from the table without bumping into someone seated behind you. Shooters now appears to be specializing in huge groups 20, 30, 40 guests or more at a table. I guess they are shooting for the tour bus business! This trip, our evening seated at the bar was totally unremarkable as patrons looking for a seat were crowded around the bar and being rather pushy. This was never an issue before they eliminated all of the outdoor bar seating. The bar itself was horrendously understaffed with two bartenders attempting to service the whole area. The food arrived cold and missing some ingredients and it took forever to replace the faulty dinners. One party had a hamburger that came without ketchup. She asked the bartender for some and was told that she was too busy to deal with it. Interesting that the bartender has to go to the kitchen for ketchup (while the barback was not overly busy), why don't they have condiments at the bar? I am wondering if they have a new manager that is trying to boost the numbers without any regard for patrons, especially us year-rounders that keep the place in business during the summer? So we will try Shooters again but this is a warning that there are other nice restaurants in the area that appreciate their customers!
Be the first to Reply4th or 5th time and still love this place
We had a 630 reservation on a Saturday and was seated early. The hostess was very welcoming and friendly. The appetizers (sushi and wings) were delightful. The food (salmon and mahi mahi) was scrumptious. And then the service...for some reason every time we come the service is fantastic. Our server NIC was knowledgeable, friendly, personable and attentive. Needless to say we'll be back a 5th/6th time next time we're in FLL.
Be the first to ReplyGood but prices a bit higher
Everything was fine! The food was good and we sat right by the water. We parked in the parking garage opposite, which was much cheaper. Prices were a bit higher than normal
Be the first to ReplyGood lunch spot
Ample bar seating with water views. Great staff. Good food with minimal wait. We enjoyed the calamari, a flatbread and the watermelon salad while watching a game on one of the multiple TVs.

We had been here twice before but not in the last two years. 8 45 reservation was honored but no parking as they shut down valet at 8 30 Seated at table (3 in our party) which was dirty, eventually after asking they sent someone to clean. We all ordered clam chowder which was good. Minor problem they did not provide any utensils or napkins. After asking they finally brought over set ups. Dinner was terrible. Two of us had crab cakes which were served cold, one was barely warmed, the other literally cold from the refrigerator. Sent them back and the replacement was cold again Other member of party had salmon which was not very well prepared We hoped to salvage something and wanted to order dessert and coffee. Waitress disappeared, finally tracked her down and she advised that the kitchen was now closed and no dessert or coffee would be served. Quite surprising since restaurant was still 60% full. They have obviously changed management at least at the front desk. No body watches the floor to manage the process Two tables near us had similar experience

I was here with a LARGE group and the staff was so accommodating and fast for the amount that was ordered. I highly recommend any of the apps/small plates. Shooters is really fun for different events. You can come here for a nice lunch/dinner, on a date, or for a party. If you come at night it is a perfect spot to post up with friends/meet up with others for a few drinks. Located right on the water, Shooters is worth the stop.
Be the first to ReplyLocation location location FAB
We had booked an outside table but were late due to traffic and table was gone but they managed to sit us at a decent inside one My son and daughter had seafood which they said was very good I had rib eye steak and potatoes - steak far too fatty and the potatoes were cold We had bread and butter pudding Caribbean style - very different from UK one but was very good and presentation fabulous So only 4 out of 5 for food Service was quite slow and had to ask several times for drinks - it was busy so maybe not enough staff on I would visit again as the actual Restaurant and location were fabulous - def recommend getting outside table as the view and setting is amazing
Be the first to ReplyStale food and low quality service
We were disappointed this time around at shooters brunch. We sat down by the water. The ambiance was great, because it was beautiful outside. The server was very polite, she got us coffee and water first. We ordered after getting our coffees. Our order consisted of blue crab Egg Benedict’s, a western omelette, a french toast to share and french fries to share. A few minutes after this we got the french toast. At first, I’m thinking the rest of the food is going to come right after…… nope…… it took like 20 minutes or more for the food to come. The order was incorrect, no big deal on that we just sent back what we did not order, and started eating. The eggs and omelette were okay. However, the french toast had been sitting there and it was stale by the time the food came to the table. I asked the server to get me a fresh french toast since it had been sitting there. It must have been for another table, or maybe a mistake that it came sooo quick. And then the french toast she brings me back is stale, hard and cold in the center. As if people won’t know you just hit it up and sent it out, as if maybe the customer at the table has no experience in the business. But ok, I had a bit of it and left the rest. Ofc the check came and it was wrong, no manager came by nothing was done about the bad experience. Mark came by the table and grabbed the salt and pepper shaker to bring it to another table. No sanitizing it first or anything. Shooter has gone down in quality by a lot. My partner had asked him to do something about the birds sitting on the table after he had just taken our salt and pepper shaker, we did not think it would be a big deal to ask. And he acted like he was too good for the job or something. Come on guys, people are coming to your restaurant to spend their hard earned money on their days off. It is unacceptable to offer this kind of experience for the prices you’re charging for breakfast.

My friends and I had brunch on a Sunday based on recommendation from hotel staff. My friends said best calamari they ever had and my chicken pesto flatbread was amazing. Bottomless mimosas was a big hit at the table. May not be the cheapest but the quality and atmosphere is worth it!!!! You won’t be disappointed.

had a reservation at this place an hour after the reservation check-in spent over $100 at the bar. Then when they notified that the table was ready, they gave me a table deep inside the restaurant in the bathroom section. The hostess was extremely rude The check-in process was less than convenient and we were told that that was the only table option we were going to get so we left And wasted our time. Trying to have a good dining experience. Don’t waste your time with the reservation and check out other local options.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding, Even in the Rain
We had Sunday brunch reservations and wanted to sit outside, but it was raining, so we sat in a booth in the bar area. We had excellent service from the bartender, who gave us great recommendations. We started with Bloody Mary’s and then had an omelet with crab and shrimp and Huevos Rancheros. The Huevos came with 2 cheese empanadas that were some of the best I’ve ever eaten! They also offer a brunch buffet for $50, but we weren’t hungry enough to tackle that, so just ordered off the menu. Reservations are a must, but you can sit at the bar or some high top tables down by the outside area on a first come, first serve basis. If you plan to go without reservations, plan to get there early because all the seats were taken by 11:30.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding Meal on Saturday, March 11th With Donnie As Our Server
We dined at Shooter’s on Saturday, March 11th and we had Donnie as our waiter and he was very responsive. Shooter’s has been around for the last 41 years, and has been completely renovated and the setting is lovely, and here is a bit more detail on the restaurant: When a former TGI Friday’s executive sought to branch off from his old company, he wanted to name his new venture something memorable. Drawing on his passion for hunting, he called his new restaurant Shooters. And since it opened in 1982, that eatery has entrenched itself in Fort Lauderdale’s culture. From spring breaker’s paradise to neighborhood eatery, this waterfront restaurant experienced it all, growing along with its hometown. We had called two months ago to make a reservation, and we asked for a table outside. After a 3am wake up call to get to Fort Lauderdale, we were too tired to drive and took an Uber, which was slightly delayed due to traffic, and I called to let the staff know that we would be 15 minutes late. The entire staff of hostesses were lovely, and we checked in and we had an outstanding table outside with the view of the water and boats passing by. They have an excellent wine list and even by the glass with many choices. I started with the tuna poke bowl which was outstanding, beautifully presented, and others enjoyed either a cup or bowl of clam chowder. One friend had the blue fish appetizer spread which was excellent. We all had the soy ginger glazed salmon, and we ordered sides of asparagus. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

Fun spot on the water Great service Good food Fun atmosphere Staff, food and vibe all top notch. Mo took great care of us, line out the door at hostess station and everyone was pleasant! Great place to bring visitors for an experience. Oysters and calamari were excellent!
Be the first to ReplyGreat for a Date Night!
I think this was a very nice restaurant in the water! Great for a date night even tho I was solo. Good service, good food. Just a little pricey $100 with Tip for in person. But honestly I would order the exam same thing again. And that was Appetizers, entree, desert and 3 beers. Outside seating was very nice . Watching the boats pull up and park there for a meal . Good music playing. Bar seemed to be lively and inside seating was plentiful and very nice .
Be the first to ReplyNice view, food ok
Great view of the inter-coastal waterway with outdoor dining. Water taxi stop #9 at this restaurant. We went for brunch, omelet was fine, expensive. Paying for the view for sure. Would skip next trip.

I have been coming to shooters for over 30 years. Food is consistently good. Service was great. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Great views and atmosphere. Suggest having a reservation. It gets packed on weekends.
Be the first to ReplyPunitive Reservation Person
I had been to Shooters for the first time with a party of six on a Sunday for dinner where someone other than myself made the reservation. The food was very good, as was the service. The outdoor setting was divine. I was so impressed with the setting in particular that I called to make a reservation the following week, also on a Sunday; this time with a party of four. A haughty woman answered the phone and told me that I could not request outdoor seating and would just have to take what was available. I explained that in our party was a frail senior who cannot sit inside because of fear of COVID( yes, this disease still exists). In a punitive sounding voice she just about told me to go somewhere else.

We have been dining at Shooters for many years. We were excited to dine here again. Tonight’s visit and dining experience was very disappointing. In the past there was a yummy crab meat tower that was delicious - it is no longer on the menu. The quality of the food tonight was terrible. I had the fried calamari- it was like eating breaded leather. In the past it was delicious. They must have changed the recipe. My fiancé had a baked seafood dish- he said the seafood tasted like poor quality shrimp and scallops. He couldn’t even eat half of the dish which was mainly pasta with small amount of shrimp and scallops. Sadly- this is the last time that we will be going to Shooters- it used to be one of our favorite restaurants. Money thrown out the window.

2nd time here and already cant wait to come back. Apps were great (sushi), seemed like the onion rings were popular though we didnt get any. The drinks were good and our server, Grace, was on point. Very helpful and friendly. We legit cant wait to go back the next time we are in Ft Loddy Doddy
Be the first to ReplyPoor Service, Watery Drinks,
After a $40 water taxi ride to get there I was expecting a great experience. No one in line ahead of us, lots of open tables and still 20 minutes to be seated. The waiter was quick to take our drink orders, yet mine was so watered down it tasted like a glass of water with a lime slice and the opposite for one of the ladies I was with, hers was SO strong it tasted horrible. 15 minutes later they took our food orders then add another 15 before the waiter came back to say it would be another 45 minutes before the food came out but we could get salad at the buffet. We stayed because it was a nice day and it was the first time we'd seen each other in a year, so conversation flowing. Food was excellent once it arrived. I asked for a takeout container and told the waiter I'd be right back (didn't want to take food to the washroom) but when I returned to the table, they'd garbaged the take out container, food and all. Not impressed Washrooms were absolutely disgusting.
