This was my second visit.
Very good experience, can't wait to go back. Good service even though it's basically self service.
Be the first to ReplyWay over priced.
Customers were packed in like sardines. Waiter service was fine. The burners and grill built into the table took up so much room that there was barely any room fit anything else. Also it was my first time "cooking the food at the table" experience, not really my thing... I could've paid much less for a full buffet style restaurant of already cooked food and would've tasted much better. Also this is just a warning for sensitive customers- The smells in there are very strong and it is very loud- which I understand is not in the control of the restaurant itself.

Great place for hot pot! Though it's a small restaurant it was well organized and fast service! Definitely recommend!!

There weren't as many food options as I thought but it was a good experience, me and my friend had a good time.

We waited over 2 hours here to get seated and the food was good. You have the option to do just hot pot (which is a shorter wait time) or hot pot and bbq grill. We did both and although the food is good, I'm not sure we would wait for 2 hours again. If it's your first time at a hot pot and Korean bbq place, you typically pick your meats, either with your server or some places like this one have meats you get at their buffet bar. Veggies and carbs do come on the conveyor belt, but if there's something you can't find, it's typically at the buffet bar too. You cook the foods primarily in your broth, which can be chosen from the menu. My go-to is usually herbal soup or tonkotsu based. Some of the thicker slices of meat such as the short rib (Galbi) is done on the grill. Marinated meats, always the grill. You'll use your tongs and scissors and cook these yourself. At the sauce bar, you have all sorts of condiments including spices, garlic, and herbs to make a sauce for dipping anything you choose. You can tell the service team works very hard, but it's definitely very busy and things take a little longer. The atmosphere is busy, the crowds are large, and the people are hungry! Hahaha.

Come early and be prepared to wait! But trust me this place is so worth it... especially for the price. It's all you can eat they have a grill option or a soup option with tons of options, they offer a all you can eat bar where you can grab meat, sushi, vegetables, seafood and sides, a conveyor belt with noodles and veggies and a full menu where you can order even more stuff like rice. And the matcha milk tea was amazing!!! Best I ever had, definitely high quality matcha.
Be the first to ReplyFood was pretty good.
I do have to say the selection for vegetables was a bit lackluster compared to other hot pot restaurants I've been to, but overall a good experience.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was very interesting and awesome! Me and my wife
This place was very interesting and awesome! Me and my wife were honeymooning in Nashville and decided to try out this hot pot place for the first time in our lives. We were met with great service but probably could've used some more guidance on how the whole shabu shabu and grill worked because for the first 30 minutes we were very lost! It took a little bit of time but we got the hang of it and started really getting the full shabu shabu experience. The lamb and beef and steaks were all delicious! I would definitely stick to those meats, the seafood was not as good in my opinion and could have been to user error (over/under cooked). The experience as a whole was really cool and it was a very fun place. The price was not terrible but of course you have to be willing to spend money at an all you can eat place like this. I would say if we could take back the first 30 minutes this place would definitely be worth the price! Also make sure to get there early because it fills fast.
Be the first to ReplyWe went for my birthday.
I had been wanting to come here for awhile, but the family was unsure about trying this place. Well, they were wrong, this place is delicious. I had the spicy szechuan broth, hubs had tom yum, and the daughters had miso and sukiyake both. The only complaint we had was that we weren't sitting near the conveyor belt which made it challenging to get our vegetables. I would go back and hope to sit in a better location near the vegetable belt.

It's better to arrive around 4:50, because the line gets long. You can make a reservation if you have a party of 6 or more. They serve boba if you want a nice, refreshing drink. They have a lot of options on the conveyer including ramen and udon. They play music and the servers are so kind. 31$ for both shuba shuba (hotpot) and korean bbq. I would totally come back and i recommend this place if you're in nashville. Opens at 5 pm- 10 pm.
Be the first to ReplyI recently found out my friend had never had hot pot
I recently found out my friend had never had hot pot before, so I arranged a group of us to go together and show her the ways! I don't think the restaurant typically does reservations, but I called in to request one since our group has 14 people, and they were able to accommodate us at 8:30PM on a Saturday. I would advise you call a few days in advance if you're arranging a large group! There are options to do hot pot, grill, or both. We all opted for hot pot, and you all get your own individual pots which is great for accommodating people's different dietary preferences. I did see pictures online of split pots where you can get 2 different broth flavors, but we asked and apparently they only do single flavor broths now per pot. I got the spicy Szechuan on a level 7 spiciness out of 10 - I was disappointed that it was barely spicy, and since it was Szechuan I was expecting the numbing peppercorn taste but there wasn't any. I would have rated this a medium spicy at best. All the hot pot items come from the buffet, though there are a few thicker slices of meat there that are for grill only. I was honestly pretty disappointed with the selection - it felt like a bunch of meat and seafood, but barely any vegetables. The variety of veggies are my favorite part of hot pot when I do it at home, but here I felt my options were very limited. There's a conveyer belt that goes around the whole restaurant carrying a few items not at the buffet, but honestly it's so annoying waiting 5-10 minutes just for a small bowl of cabbage or noodles. Also, where we were seated we didn't have direct access to the conveyer belt, so we had to awkwardly lurk near other tables to wait for items on the conveyer belt. The meat and seafood are pretty good though, the meat is kept in a freezer chest so it stays cold, but I thought it was really weird there's only 1 tong for the whole array of meats, so if you eat lamb but not beef, unfortunately your tongs have already touched lots of beef. Both the hot pot and KBBQ are AYCE, it's an extremely good deal even though the variety is pretty limited. $27 AYCE hot pot especially if you're a meat lover is really great! I highly prefer doing hot pot at home but cannot fit 14 people in my apartment, this is an ok substitute quality-wise but a fun place for a group dinner.

Great experience! Left smelling like the grill and sodium but so worth it. Definitely going back.
Be the first to ReplyThis is excellent place for a great hotpot and table top
This is excellent place for a great hotpot and table top grill experience. Food was fresh and delicious with plenty of options to cook on up. Our waiter was awesome and made sure we understood how everything worked before he took orders. Drinks were awesome and had good variety for everyone at the table. The place is small and cozy so expect to wait, but it's worth the wait for some great food.

Visited Shabu Shabu for a late lunch around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. We were estimated a 30 minute wait for a table, which ended up being pretty accurate. The setup for their hot pot is really exciting - they have a conveyor belt that runs throughout the restaurant with their vegetable offerings. Each vegetable is led with a label sign so you know what they are. The meats, sauces, and other assorted offerings (sushi, kimchi, desserts, etc.) are served buffet style. Their meat selection was quite large and featured some relatively premium options. The ingredients were generally decent quality, but not top notch. That said, they still tasted good and we really enjoyed them. They also had a selection of boba drinks and other beverages - I ordered a brown sugar boba and it was really great! Highly recommend stopping by if you're looking to fill your craving for Asian food in Nashville.
Be the first to ReplyI chose this place by default, it was across the street
I chose this place by default, it was across the street from hotel - it was late, I was hungry. I've never tried hotpot, but always wanted too. I started off a little confused, but caught on quickly. The buffet looking variety of items was so large and diverse (almost as many choices as the Cheesecake Factory menu). Perfect stop on a cold night. The broth was very good! I ordered a little spicy and it was just right. The only reason I have 4 stars. The service was not the best- and the conveyer belt with more options to include noodles was low on options. Could have been because of staffing.

The seating arrangements suck but by the time I was seated and eating the last thing I cared about was sitting in an aisle. I've never been to a KBBQ place quite like it. And I'll be back as often as I can be.The hot pot and grill is the best deal and so fulfilling. You grab whatever items you want, even the sushi (buffet sushi is always horrible) this sushi was the bomb! Came here with a friend and we left so full and so satisfied

This was our 10 year old daughter's first hot pot experience and just as we predicted- she loved it! We all had different soups: miso, curry and Szechuan and we all loved ours the best. Perfect! The variety of things she could try and we could all enjoy was impressive. I loved the sushi as well. The waiter could have been more attentive. Only reason for only 4 out of 5 stars.
Be the first to ReplyThe food has serious hygienic issues.
My friends and I have had diarrhea and food poisoning from eating their food. Also, service is so slow and the front desk people were so disrespectful.

The restaurant is a lively, bustling establishment, catering, it seems, to a younger crowd predominantly made up of college students. The all-you-can eat buffet is perhaps better catered to this client which seems to be more interested in quantity than in quality. One should not expect the caliber of the meats to be comparable to what one would get in a "real" Japanese shabu shabu restaurant: the beef was tough, the miso broth which I picked since it was the closest option to Japanese cuisine, was very bland, and the so-called sushi were worse than the ones I can find at my local suburban supermarket. While Alex was a pleasant server, other staff, in particular the clearing crew, were inattentive and sloppy. It felt more like a cafeteria than a proper restaurant. We are very far from the elegance of a traditional Japanese restaurant. On a positive note, I did not get sick.If you are really hungry and want an all-you-eat option, by all means, try this place. If you know real Japanese cuisine, you will be disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyWe had no idea what we were doing.
After we got into our groove (season the broth, collect everything) it was fun. I got the pork broth and added most of the non spicy extras. I have no idea what half of this plate even is. I can tell you it's all really good cooked with spinach, cabbage, fancy mushrooms and fat noodles. Also make sure you get the head on shrimp and some lamb.
Be the first to ReplyDon't we all love the difference of cooking our own food?
Don't we all love the difference of cooking our own food? Eh yes and no. A couple things to note: -It is alittle expensive unless you're planning on eating a ton-if you have a larger party, the conveyor belt of noodles, veggies, etc will not be available to you, i had to awkwardly walk around and look for an area to grab stuff for our whole table. -The area where you get meat and some other items is hectic, maybe I've only been there when it was busy (dinner time) you have to walk and squeeze past people, and it's kinda hard. Now, the food! It's yummy! A good time for you and your friends to cook food. It's more about the experience than the food though haha let's be real. I've been there twice, but honestly I've had my fill, so i most likely won't return unless for a specific occasion.
Be the first to ReplyDecent hot pot place.
The Szechuan spicy broth was very tasty. Conveyer belt had a decent variety of veggies, although I wish they would have had watercress. Protein selections were okay. The lamb had no flavor, but the beef was pretty good. The tongs for the meat were kinda messy. It's a bit on the hot and crowded side, but the meal was satisfying. Overall I would go back.

My family and I are from WA state and we were looking forward to a hot pot and bbq place and found this place on Yelp. The place was really hot. There was no AC and they only had 2 fans going in the restaurant. In addition we had to keep asking the server about our drinks. The buffet was a bit messy. They also had utensils for both lamb and chicken which I would suggest putting them separately. Aside from that the broth of the hot pot was good.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place! Nice variety of protein and vegetables.
Something for everybody. But it's was hot as hell in there and to be honest I got tired of making my own food. Lol. In the end, I would return.

Alas! I found shabu shabu in Nashville! My Alhambra/Californian heart jumped for joy. There were some pros and cons to this so hold on for the lengthy review. For a newcomer, the setup was a little confusing. There are tables that strictly do shabu shabu and then tables with a combination of both grilling and shabu. I'd personally try both. The meat quality is okay. For the price? It's a good deal so I'm not going to complain too much. I do wish they had more vegetable variations. Things like; baby corn, sliced potato, onion, spinach, mushrooms, jalapeรฑos, etc. this is more for the shabu portion if you're getting the broth. It's nice most of the veggies and noodles are laid out on the conveyor belt around the tables. The spread of sauces left a little to be desired. Maybe I'm spoiled but I feel like some more variety in oils and sauce mixes would be nice. However they had the basics and again for the price I really can't complain-more pointing it out. I liked that I could go up and portion out the amount of meat I wanted for both grilling and the soup. Now for taste. The broths were actually pretty dang good. We got the Szechuan spicy, tonkatsu and miso. All were pretty standard and went well with the food. I've had worse and I'm pretty accustomed to this style of cooking. So I'd say I'd get all three of those again. The service was nice. They have a birthday robot! It's the cutest. I think they're a little understaffed for the amount of tables occupied but I realize everyone is hurting and they did their best. All in all I'd probably go back.
