This is the third time in a period of three months that we visit Scarpetta. We had a better experience the last two times but tonight it felt like the wsiter had no interest in taking our order. We finally ordered three courses. In my case, the charred octopus was very good but the second and third courses were a complete disaster! The Tagliolini Nero was a spicy pasta with and ugly presentation and no flavor at all. The mini pieces of lobster were dry and seemed that they were leftovers. Then came the Halibut as dry as a piece of paper with a lot of olive oil on top. When the waiter saw my plate with the almost untouched pasta he asked if I liked it. I said no and he replied “I told you it was a little soicy”. A “little” was a complete understatement. After a $350.00 check for a meal I couldn’t eat or enjoy I have No interest in comming back!
