After learning about the restaurant in Boston Magazine and later researching it online, I truly looked forward to Sarma especially as I like Middle Easter and North African cuisines. First of all, the restaurant was filled to capacity with tables too close by to one another during COVID even on a Monday night. Second, all menu items from food to beverages are overpriced for the quantity and quality. Service, as experienced by us, was by servers who never smiled, dressed shabbily and constantly pestered us (even during us chatting) if we wanted the server to remove a place. The food is overhyped and spiced by maybe someone with few tastebud functioning by just putting their hands into jars at their disposal. You taste the mega mix of spices but rarely the food underneath. Would I return to Sarma? No. Would I recommend it to others? No.
