Be the first to ReplyRoom is great.
Very comfortable and spacious. Big bathroom. I found guest services and room service to be very quick. My only complaint is that the service at the rooftop restaurant was bad - so I would opt to eat outside of the restaurant. But I would definitely stay at the hotel again. Great location. And right next to a Starbucks so I could pickup a coffee on my way out to explore.

Excellent staff. Excellent service. The perfect oasis in NYC.
Be the first to ReplySUMMARY: Really great stay.
Nice suite and super comfy bed. DETAILS: I had a Manhattan Suite (room 1508). There was a huge amount of storage (6 large closets in addition to the drawers and cabinets), a half bathroom off the entryway. A bar was located just before the living room. The living room had a desk, TV, couch, and two arm chairs. The bedroom had an arm chair, second desk, and king sized bed. It was one of the most comfortable beds I have had in a room in a long time. Pillows and sheets were great too. Separate thermostats for living and bedroom. Main bathroom was beautiful. It has a double sink, glass shower and deep soaking tub. I spoke with 2 or 3 people over the course of my 2 day stay and everyone was exceptionally nice. I got the feeling that if I needed anything then they'd go above and beyond to make it happen if they could. Only 1 tiny thing would have made it better: it would have been nice if an upscale room like this had an AppleTV or some way to easily cast from my computer to the TV... something more modern than the old-style menu TV with Mario Lopez giving celebrity news haha But that is pretty minor. I would definitely recommend the Royalton Park Avenue and I will be returning in the future.
Be the first to ReplyLocation was great! Close to subway lines (6).
Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfy. Bathroom had plenty of counter space despite the large trough style sink. Shower could have had more pressure. Rooftop bar was pleasant and employees there were top notch as well.
Be the first to ReplyThis is the best boutique hotel near the Madison Square
This is the best boutique hotel near the Madison Square Park / Flatiron. It has a great pool and stunning views towards the Empire State Building. Ideally located with most Manhattan neighborhoods at walking distance (anything above Washington Square Park and below Central Park). The rooms are clean and quite spacious (for NYC). It is my go-to hotel when travelling for business to NYC. The bar on the top floor is great for an evening drink (don't expect proper restaurant food though, it's more bar snacks). The breakfast is a bit pricey and not big. I would recommend going to nearby Penelope for weekend brunch or Seven Grams Cafe for a quick breakfast before business affairs.
Be the first to ReplyHotel room was decently nice.
They did try to upsell to a "larger" room as soon as we got there which was kind of annoying but my main issue is with parking. 1. They aren't clear how much parking is anywhere on their website. 2. The parking ticket clearly says to call 45 minutes ahead of leaving to get your car. I called 45 minutes ahead of checkout at 11:15, check out was at 12. At 12 we checked out and stood outside waiting for our car. We waited an hour and 30 minutes for my car to be brought to me. At about 1230 we were told it would be 5 minutes more, which I could clearly see on my app that my car had not been moved yet. They repeated the lie multiple times and then promised to credit our whole parking fee for our stay. We received the car at 1:30 PM. Today I got my bill and not only was the parking double what I found on their site they only credited me for one day. Kind of defeats the purpose of Valet since I couldve parked for cheaper and faster at a near by garage.
Be the first to ReplyGreat location for guests traveling to NYC.
Minutes drive or walk to food restaurants and major tourist attractions. There's a Starbucks literally across the street for coffee lovers. They do offer a glass of Prosecco betwen 5-6pm Friday & Saturday. Ivy room bar and resto is a nice addition, dim light good ambiance great staff, ask for Calvin at the bar! I tried the pork sliders(served as 2 sandwiches) and they were amazing. Room service 24/7 and very swift! Only disappointment is rooms are very small, you can barely fit in the bathroom, queen bed is more like Full and you can feel metals pocking through old mattress. My toilet water tank kept running which woke me up sink so small you cant avoid water messes Great shower pressure, good robes and slippers, stocked mini bar

Hands down one of the best hotels I have stayed at while visiting New York. Ambiance was awesome, clean, service was great!
Be the first to ReplyHorrible experience.
This hotel gotta be the shittiest hotel I ever stayed in my life. I've stayed in so many hotels around the world and in nyc and this is literally the worst experience I ever had. The stuff is extremely rude and unwelcoming. You won't feel welcome or at home here.

Came on Wednesday night after work for a few drinks and food servers all looked lost and a big tall guy which seemed like the manager was so rude and unprofessional. The way he approaches people and looks at them was so uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place to anyone !!! I would be letting my company know this is a no no !!! And we was thinking of doing events here drinks were okay for the price tho good luck
Be the first to ReplyI liked this hotel.
I stayed here for work. The room was a good size. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The walls were a little thin but not too bad. The staff were very friendly. I would stay here again.
Be the first to ReplyI never write a bad review but I feel this is important for
I never write a bad review but I feel this is important for others to be aware when booking here. After our stay at The Royalton Park Avenue Hotel I asked for a printout of the bill. I noticed we were triple taxed on our first day. Taxed on the $100 pet fee under the name "State Room Tax #2 - 8.875% and "City Room Tax #2", taxed again on the room fee and taxed again on the $40 facility fee. Also contributed to a charity without our consent "Highgate Charitable Foundation". All seemingly crooked. I called the hotel and the manager said that's new york city and the government fees but returned the money they took for the "Highgate Charitable Foundation". It is extremely disappointing that after having a nice weekend at the hotel they would do that to their guests. Please look at your bills and request printouts. Below is a photo of the sketchy fees.
Be the first to ReplyThe Royalton NYC is a much nicer hotel.
I would highly recommend staying there not at the Park Avenue. I've stayed at both now and I know park ave is updating their hotel but it is not nearly as nice. Maybe I'll try it again in a few years once remodeling is finished.
Be the first to ReplyStayed here for business.
The room was very spacious and roomy! It included a tub and balcony. I was very pleased with the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the hotel. The location was convenient for my needs. I wish I could give it a perfect rating, but the bed was terrible. It was uneven, lumpy and the sheets were cheap and scratchy. I had horrible sleep both nights I was here. Literally everything else was amazing. It wouldn't be a true NYC visit without being someone uncomfortable, lol. I would have traded a smaller room for a more quality bed and linens.
Be the first to ReplyRoyalton Park Avenue is a great hotel with a great location.
The rooms aren't as small as I'd thought. The service was great. You can leave your luggage early (before check-in) and late (post check-out), and still use their amenities, like their rooftop pool.
Be the first to ReplyTiny room, mediocre quality, weird bathrooms, cleaning
Tiny room, mediocre quality, weird bathrooms, cleaning service isn't that well done... great location and total party pool. Cheapest thing on the menu is the $5 fries. Note, if you're over 5 ft tall the shower might be problematic.
Be the first to ReplyThe Hotel staff was friendly and attentive.
Our only issue was with the room itself. The A/C didn't work well at all. We called four times had to go down to the desk the first night to get the engineering person to take a look at it. The room never got below 74 degrees. Called again the next day still no resolution. The staff didn't seem to worry about this at all. So for this reason I can not recommend them or stay there when we go back to NY in a couple of months.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was very racist i never felt so embarrassed in
This place was very racist i never felt so embarrassed in my 35 years. Me and my 4Friends made reservations for the rooftop pool when we reached the host gave us bands and showed us to the pool area we then was greeted by the host of the event or pool party he asked if we reserved the cabana that was all reserved we told him no and we wasn't aware he then ripped the bands Off our wrist in-front everyone at the event. We asked can we pay the 500 for a cabana that came with just the chair nothing else heSaid it was none available while a group of ladies just got in with no problem 7 min b4 we have the video. This place is classless the video will be on YouTube and google don't support this business it's not people friendly ( if you black)
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful hotel in the heart of NYC, I do love this place
Beautiful hotel in the heart of NYC, I do love this place based on the staffs attentiveness to their guests and the fact that every time I get food or drink from the bar it tastes GREAT. Every floor is always cleaned, everything is very well polished including the staff. The pool area is cool, not spectacular but it's nice. The pool is cleaned well and is about 3 and half feet deep. I will say the rooftop view is BEAUTIFUL both day and night. Very close to the Empire State Building so the pictures here are always spot on if you're looking for aesthetic. I'm very thankful that the staff is very pet friendly, everyone treats my pup with respect and love. Overall, I love this place and would stay here again and I would recommend to a friend. I will say one thing I would change is that the rooms aren't that big and they look pretty old school. But other than that LOVED IT.
