Disappointed
2 balls just for the attentive service and the very nice location, three for the food and the quality-price ratio. I'm not sorry but I'm willing to pay even €200 for a steak... as long as it's good

Friends and I went forvrestaurant week. Extensive menu. Most of us had the stuffed clams for a starter. I thought they were just ok. Would have like them broiled to finish off dish. We also had the veal medallions with mushrooms which was very good. Will definitely return.
Be the first to ReplyTasty Italian restaurant with many options and great service, feels a bit dated though
Possibly the tastiest Italian food in Manhattan. I like how the menu not only reflects the typical Italian food (pasta, pizza), but also the more Mediterranean side of Italy (seafood, fish etc.). The service is also amazing. On the corridor from the bar to the restaurant, you can also see the pictures of the celebrities that attended the restaurant. On the downside (or upside, depends on the point of view!), I would say that this restaurant is definitely geared for an older audience, and I would have liked the restaurant to have more of a "younger feel" than it currently has.
Be the first to ReplyNice Italian meal; loud table neighbours!
We managed to get a table without a reservation on a Friday night. Thank you to the man who welcomed us and ensured we got a table. The waiter was great and attentive at all times. It took a while to get our bread with olive oil and vinegar. The meals were good. My wife’s seafood dish was too watery and tasted fishy. Yes it’s a seafood dish, but typically you don’t get that fishy taste. The rest of the meals were good. The live music was really nice. However, the people next to us were quite loud and using vulgarity constantly but no one spoke to them about it. This made it at times hard to enjoy the music and the meal. I’m sure the overall ambience would have been great if someone told them to lower their voice volume. Overall it was a good experience.

The food was fantastic. Excellent flavor and just right portions. The service was outstanding and very attentive. And then throw in the singing entertainment, WOW.

We went to this restaurant for the second time, remembering the first time 8 years ago. The dishes continue to be delicious. Beautiful atmosphere, worth keeping in mind

East side favorite where you'll be warmly greeted and treated to traditional Italian cooking. Tables are well spaced. Professional and friendly service. Reliable menu and good quality ingredients. Piano in the evening.

My family and I came here for dinner while visiting NYC. The last time we were here was in 5 yrs ago. They changed the place but I think the food was still great. My family and I had a wonderful dinner, and our server was very attentive. We enjoyed our meals.

We had the good fortune to find this restaurant by looking at reviews online after attending a visit to The Summit. We were not expecting the absolutely amazing food. The courses were delivered perfectly and the wait staff was impeccable. I cannot say I have ever tasted a more perfect pesto. The seafood dish was cooked to perfection and don’t pass on desert. Hands down this was our best meal for this trip. Thanks for a memorable meal.

This is an excellent Italian restaurant (Italian-Italian, not Italian-American). All the food is prepared to perfection and the service is also outstanding. Good wine selection with affordable choices and nice ambiance. What else could you ask for?

I would like to give the rating of 4.5 but cant figure out how. We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of the Marriott. The food was very good - husband had lasagne bolognese special and I had linguine con vongole. The service, however, was stellar! We also had an appetizer special, which ended up costing almost as much as one of the meals. Tiramisu was scrumptious, cheesecake a bit plain (this may be NY style). A bit pricy, but again, it may just be NY. I would recommend - just be prepared.

I had an excellent meal. The food was terrific. The staff was friendly and professional. I would definitely go back. It is definitely an old school Italian restaurant.

A fantastic place to eat. Our server was spectacular. My calamari was tremendous and my girl friend loved her halibut. Great ambiance. Nice wine selection and desserts.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic New Years Eve Meal
We had a fantastic New Years Eve Meal here. We were made to feel very welcome, including our 1 year old daughter. The food was superb as was the wine. Highly recommend a visit!

the first place where I have actually tasted an real tomato sauce, wonderful!
the cook needs a medal, and the waiters were also pretty nice and efficient.
service was very quick, I honestly loved the food in this place!
The ambiance is very much 'godfather' like, pretty old and crying out for modernisation. Could easily Imagine Michael Corleone walking out the toilets!
Always measures up
We only get to NYC once every four to five years, but we always include a dinner at Rossini's. Today was exceptional as always. Great service, great menu, great wine list. You made to feel like part of the family. We both ordered veal specialties and they both were super. Will continue to eat here when we visit NYC.
Be the first to ReplyJust a Perfect NYC Classic Italian Restaurant
My colleagues and I visited Rossini's Restaurant on a Monday night after a long day of meetings. What a gem! This place is classic, Old Italian, from start to finish.
The ambiance is perfect - bright enough, but not too bright; the noise level allowed us to carry on a conversation; and the decor was straight out of late '90s Italy.
We took the waiter's recommendations on some appetizers and dinners, and each was prepared just right. Calamari and grilled octopus for appetizers; chicken parm, snapper and other delicacies in a red sauce; sauteed lemon and garlic chicken; and a veal dish - all perfect. For dessert - cheesecake, cannolis, and a chocolate delight. Each tasty and prepared just right.
Service was attentive but not over the top. It's our new go-to Italian in New York City, for sure!
Divine
This gem of a restaurant hidden in the Murray Hill neighborhood is incredible! From the white linens to them pulling out the chair for myself and my daughter this place is amazing. They offered a 1/2 size pasta for my daughter thankfully and they surprised her on her special night with dessert! We will definitely come her again when in the city!

If you’re looking for an old fashioned, white table cloth experience with excellent food and incredibly graceful and attentive staff, this is your place. Food is amazing and they don’t serve ridiculously large servings. Not small but not stupid big. Lovely experience.
