Good dinner while passing through Cagli
We had dinner in this beautiful place with exposed bricks and a barrel ceiling. Particular menu I tasted the carpaccio trio... really very good unlike the platter of good cheeses and cured meats but nothing exceptional. The frescoes were good but I wasn't impressed. Average account

I knew this restaurant for the truffles. Today I went out of truffle season to try other dishes. I was extremely satisfied, so much so that I confirmed the dishes I tried with praise. The wine they offered me was excellent. The price is very honest

Good food and excellent service. Fine restaurant and not very cheap, but not too expensive either. Right portions and friendly staff.

Special place, great atmosphere, excellent food. Wine list beyond expectations. Friendly staff, very nice owner/chef. And the third time I go to the Mona Lisa, the last time on Easter Sunday. I'm from Abruzzo, as soon as I find myself in the area again, I won't miss the opportunity to stop at the Gioconda. Gianfranco

Refined place, with original proposals and excellent raw materials; pay attention to seasonality. Courteous and attentive service. Truly remarkable cellar.

I tried it because up until a year ago I had excellent opinions from friends. We went for dinner starting from Fano, even though the latest reviews weren't the best but unfortunately they were right. At the service a girl who unfortunately does not know the dishes, which are not described in the menu (see appetizers), does not know the wines or even the times. Not his fault. A rather embarrassing presentation of the hot cold appetizer: the hot part is a saucer with a crouton, a small piece of omelette and an Ascoli olive, one. Ordered portion with medium quality truffle, not bad but not extraordinary. Nothing fancy that you can't find in any good osteria in the Marche (indeed). Prices that require different service, different care, different quality. A shame having driven almost an hour to try this place.

I went to this restaurant for dinner with some friends who accompanied us to our table. We were immediately welcomed by an extraordinary aperitif. The dinner was amazing, the place was very nice and welcoming, excellent value for money.

Very nice location, well looked after. The wine menu is very varied and full of excellent local labels, plus various national excellences. Original land menu with some classics of the area, i.e. tagliatelle, cappelletti, passatelli and above all truffle. Ordered tagliatelle with fine black truffle and new oil. Spacious dish, technically impeccable, slightly thick pasta cooked al dente (very complex with egg pasta), generously grated fine black truffle with an inebriating but not overwhelming aroma, balanced, goes perfectly with egg pasta . A real shame to let them slip away. A must for anyone passing through the area.

We went to eat in this restaurant on the occasion of my birthday, but we were really disappointed by the quality and the lack of attention to some details which - in my opinion - in a restaurant of a certain level, as La GIoconda seemed to be, are details unacceptable. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed the mediocre quality of the sparkling wine glass, a tavern glass with a thick rim and scratched glass, accompanied by a well-made still wine glass but heavily stained by washing in the dishwasher, the wobbly table and joined to the nearby one with a painted wooden tablet resting between the two tables in a precariously balanced ensemble. The initial welcome entree was excellent as was the prosecco, we continue with the egg cooked at low temperature, truly excellent. Then we get lost.... bland crostini in name and in fact made with what looked like truly inedible industrial Chiaserna bread. The passatelli with truffle had a strong egg smell, and totally lacked the typical aromas and scents required by the recipe, just as the black truffle that accompanied it did not seem to be of the same quality as the one used previously. The crescents are also better, seasoned with a truffle with a poor aromatic contribution but certainly not up to the standard of a restaurant of this kind, accompanied by the universal white sauce present in almost all the dishes we tasted. Here we stopped, aware of the fact that we would hardly find what we were looking for. The bill was absolutely disproportionate for the quality of the food and the service received. The waiters and the maitre d' were really nice and hospitable, but the details on the equipment and the attitude of the owner who beat us the bill - as well as the chef of the restaurant - who didn't bother to ask how we found dinner, left us lead to a negative opinion. We won't be returning.

As much as I try I can't find a fault with the Mona Lisa. Every time I leave the place I can't wait to go back. Always welcoming environment, always attentive, professional, discreet but also brilliant and easy-going service. A piece of advice: give Chef Gabriele carte blanche and let him express himself with his dishes.

Venue and service not up to par, catering in 2023 at average levels lives a long way from here. Friendly but inadequate staff, no explanation, rude manners, no knowledge of wine, embarrassing bread and cover, you save the foolish glasses for the wine, non-existent plating, my truffle tagliatelle arrived without sauce, completely dry, my wife's was a broth... The delicious carpaccio. Extremely traditional cuisine without any research (egg cooked at low temperature now even my grandmother does it with her roner), fragrant truffle but small in quantity. €265 with a Burgundy (village) from €60 the truffle tasting menu at €100 (without desserts) I'm sorry but we really aren't there with these local prices of a much higher level they offer contemporary cuisine suitable for those looking for an experience, here we are little more than a trattoria. The chef had a drink of my wine used to wine the glasses, something I've never seen before, incredible! At the time of the bill, he collects and says hello, he doesn't ask absolutely anything how we found ourselves, who we are, where we come from... Well, I'm left perplexed to say the least. Not rude for goodness sake but totally disinterested. Pretentious and inadequate. Goodbye
Be the first to ReplyA second time with a bitter taste
I had been last year and had a very good time and this year with the same friends we thought about returning to taste nice dishes in a welcoming place... But it wasn't like that. To begin with, the prosecco offered tasted of cork, there were cobwebs on the lighting above the tables, and the dishes that were not renewed were the same. Anyway we ate dishes not like last year... Truffle carbonara no... The truffle wasn't noticeable, guinea fowl chestnuts and red wine too tasty I couldn't finish it even though the portions were not exaggerated and the desserts were really too sweet not to be missed be able to finish it. But the thing that was most unpleasant to us was while we were at dessert the noise of moving tables to prepare the room for dinner I presume. The haste of the service so much so that I was about to be rude because as soon as I sat down I hadn't yet read the menu to greet my friends and he was already there asking what we were ordering and the haste of the service with the funnel and taking away continued until the end until we Even though there was another table eating, they were asked to leave because they had to close. I'm sorry but the price is certainly not for a location of this service. A first beautiful experience repeated but failed. I am sorry
