Excellent modern bistro
Very good. Excellent value set menu. Interesting wine list. Friendly service. Would highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyA must visit in Ixelle - traditional French/Belgian at its best
Small cosy bistro furnished with school furnitures from the 1980's. Food is local and traditional French/Belgian and delicious. Vegan/vegetarian option available. Three course menu or a la carte incl wine pairing by the glass. Most - if not all - wine are natural wine. Sakรฉ pairing also an option! Knowledge staff and sommelier

It all started very well. The restaurant is small and the tables are tiny, but it was pleasant and we enjoyed it. It all started very well with the starters. Both dishes were excellent. However, I had asked for a wine pairing and my white wine never materialized "because the starters came out too quickly". So far so good. Unfortunately, things started sliding after that. It took over an hour to get the main course. By then, we had almost finished the wine that was supposed to go with the dishes. The mackerel was overcooked and I was quite disappointed to find out that the figs of the lamb with figs turned out to be a single boiled fig. A boiled fig tastes like nothing. The sauce was tasty but so very thin that it was of not use on the lamb, which made the meat rather bland. The desserts were fine but definitely nothing to write home about. The staff however was very nice if a bit overwhelmed by the number of guests.

Excellent restaurant with an original natural offer in a simple environment. Food, wines, service, itโs all first class.
