Automatic tip for party of 6
The food was good, the service was slow. They added an automatic 20% tip for a party of 6. The service wasn’t worth 20%. Because of this I won’t be back. I dislike businesses who rip off their customers like this.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
We had been to Primo’s before and always enjoyed it, but this time I was very disappointed. It was my birthday, so I was looking forward to a nice dinner. The linguini with clams was inedible because it was so salty and the pasta was a mushy consistency. My husbands egg plant parmigiana was fine, but mine was a huge disappointment. Service was so slow that the couple beside us came in a half hour after us , but were finished before we received our entrees. Our waiter apologized and offered a free dessert, but that hardly made up for the expensive inedible entree. I won’t be returning any time soon.

Mike our server was AWESOME, food was great! And very authentic!!! It’s a hole in the wall place and not very noticeable, but it did not disappoint.
Be the first to ReplyPrimo is a good name
Small Italian restaurant located at the back of a strip center, non descript until you get inside , outdoor patio is delightful..food was worthy of anywhere..my veal parmigiana was cooked perfect..could cut with a fork, home made Italian sauce..huge slice of lasagna. Small bread loaves served with oil and vinegarette, but replenished..as in all Italian restaurants, the meal determined by whether you like the sauces..and we liked these sauces..will be a repeat choice for us
Be the first to Replyvery poor food
I usually like Primos, but tonight I had Alfredo with chicken... it was tasteless, pasta was sticky and tasteless.... after the meal I sent 2/3 of the meal back, mentioned it to the servers, and yet,.... not one cent was taken off the bill.
Be the first to ReplyBest Veal I’ve ever had!!!!
The veal was superb to say the least! The Roman gods wept when this dish was created. The meat was so tender my fork swipe chunks as if it was a lightsaber. Normally, I’m used to Patsy’s sauce “Manhattan location” which is spicier but this was better imo! It Had enough body and the viscosity to create just the right texture allowing the crisp tomato flavors to surface. The noodles and customer service left something to be desired. I wanted to order more food but the woman taking my order rushed me off the phone but I was able to get the lemon bars which were okay but the cannoli is where it’s at! It really stands out and has a very creamy mascarpone! I ordered two separate times only got bad customer service once and wouldn’t hold it against the establishment, the food is well worth a visit regardless of attitudes

I confirmed two days before the reservation via phone. However, when I called the day of the reservation they said I had canceled it but that was not the case. When I called the other day to confirm I had asked for them to accommodate 20 instead of 18, to which they said no problem. Luckily, when I spoke to whomever on the phone the day of the reservation, they said they still had room for 20. We ended up only having a party of 18 show for the dinner. When we arrived they did not have to set menus as planned. (They do set menus for party’s bigger than 15) I spoke with the manager Lucas and he said they could do the $40 set menu plan but some things were unavailable. (The “set menu” was practically nothing like the ones they emailed me the days prior) At that point my party was hungry and we had no other reservations so I agreed with Lucas. To my knowledge everyone was getting their own dishes but they did it family style. I’m guessing because of the amount food? I’m not sure. Must I say the bartender and servers were very good at their jobs. It seemed like they were doing they’re best to accommodate us…. The food was not all that good and we were over it by then. Then came time to pay and I spoke with Lucas and asked about the prices since the food was served family style to which he said it would still be $40 dollars a person. Seemed like a rip off to us. I asked about the 2 children and 2 teenagers we had with us and Lucas agreed to not charge the children, meaning they would eat for free, and then charge the two teenagers $25 a person. When it came time to pay, we were charged for 19 people at $40 a person and then charged us an extra $25 for a child. Thus meaning we were charged for 20 people. For one, we did not have that many guests and for two, I had an agreement with the manager Lucas. I did not find this out until the next morning from the groom of our party. My bride and groom were very upset, as so was I. I emailed one of the other managers Jim about the whole ordeal the day after the dinner and he replied back stating he would talk with his staff and then reach out to me..not even offer atleast a refund for the over charge of guests. On top of that, he never even got back to me !! I’m still awaiting his response.. almost a month later!! In conclusion, FAIR WARNING!!!! Do not eat at this restaurant if you have a larger party of guests or party expect high quality food!

I had Veal Marsala and my wife had Osso Buco. The marsala had a perfect sauce, the veal was fine. The serving size was a little small. My wife loved her Osso Buco finished it for her, it wasn't bad, but nothing special. Iced tea was instant, good instant, but instant.

Our three generation family of 4 had 6:30 reservations and were seated promptly. The “on the ball “ server, Lucas, took our orders and explained various dishes. Radiatore is a pasta form resembling a radiator. Who knew? My grandson liked this choice. Both chicken piccata and Marsala were tasty and served hot! Entree prices are $16-$21 for our dinners. Bottle of Pinot Grigio $30. This restaurant is not air conditioned however many ceiling fans keep the air moving. We had a great experience.
Be the first to ReplyEXCELLENT & LOCALLY OWNED
Was recommended to try this restaurant as this is where "the locals go"---owned by a local family and pasta is made fresh every day. Also, the family makes all the desserts. We went there and can highly recommend. Both the food and the service was excellent. You could tell from the service and food they were family owned and took pride in their service and food. My wife had the lasagna and I had the Chicken parm. Both were outstanding. If in the area, be sure and try this small, family owned restaurant.

We opted for Primo’s for an early dinner. We were seated right away (go around 5:30), and ask for an ocean view! Seriously, the host put us directly by the large aquarium and said we had the best seats, which we did! Our server was prompt, friendly, and offered suggestions from the authentic Italian menu. The homemade bread with oil and balsamic was outstanding! Please order the iceberg salad as it has freshly sliced Parmesan and house-made pancetta. Excellent! The rigatoni was good, but the sausage was a tad spicy for us. Otherwise, it was a good dining experience! Be aware, summer 2021 is HOT here, and there is no air conditioning.

We stopped by for dinner on what was probably one of the hottest nights of the year. Of course, the restaurant does not have air conditioning, so it was quite warm inside. The staff managed to stay happy and friendly. Service was great, and our meals were very good. I had the flat iron steak, which had excellent flavor. I would definitely recommend Primo's while you are visiting South Shore!

Seemed to be a little out of the way. Parking was easy and plentiful. We started with the soup of the day, which was a tomato-based soup with artichoke, fava beans, onions, and sausage. It was excellent with a nice little spice. I had the lasagna which was very good. My wife selected the Chicken Picata and raved the whole meal. We were too stuffed to try any dessert, but plan to get back for lunch to try the pizza.
Be the first to ReplyTasty but very slow service.
This little Italian restaurant sits back on a small strip mall off the main road. There are less than ten tables inside plus a few on the patio. Staff was nice but after getting water we asked for menu’s and were told wait staff would bring them. A bit later a small plate with olive oil and balsamic vinegar was brought to our table. No bread for at least 10-15 minutes ....why not bring both at the same time?! Even menu’s with water brought together? How easy is this? It took awhile to get our Caesar’s salad as well. It was cold and crisp. A bit later the stuffed mushrooms arrived. Tasty, but small, not much stuffing, and there were only three for $8. Quite overpriced, I’d say, even if they tasted good. Our entrees were very good and nice portions. We had the veal Parmesan and chicken piccata. We would order both again. Decided to have the bread pudding which was completely different than we’d ever seen prepared. Very small thin slices are bread soaked in something with a dollop of whipped cream and some caramel drizzled on the plate. Our server Sal was very nice and at the end of our meal asked about us. We enjoyed that!
