We arrived at 5 on a Saturday, without reservations, hoping to sit at the bar. First thing you need to know about this place: Everyone who works there is helpful, kind, interested, warm, and professional. The valet heard our plan and said he'd hold our car until I went in and found out about space in the bar out on the intercoastal. Even at this hour, the valets were busy, so that was kind. I went out to the bar and a manger (?) saw me approach, came over and told me, "we have a table for you!" Oh, okay, looked like it was pretty busy but off I went to get my friend and back we came to a lovely table looking over the water. The woman who handled our orders was as nice as she could be and was that perfect combination of competent and unobtrusive. You need her, she's there. You don't, she's not hovering. The food was amazing. We had the swordfish and the blackened Grouper. The crab bisque had a surprise dollop of sherry on the bottom, making it that much better. (How do they do that?) It's loud out there on the water when the bar is full, but I still gave 5 stars because people are having fun, not being crazy rude. Well, I heard one skipper ask the server if she could serve them on his boat. "It's only 3 steps down," he says, like she doesn't know that. I didn't hear the answer, but as he, his wife, and teenage daughter were perfectly capable of climbing the stairs and saving the super-busy waitstaff the added work, I thought he was out of line. But maybe they do that for the boat people who tie up there. I don't know. Anyway, great job, PC staff, excellent food, beautiful restaurant (don't forget to look up at reception to see the crystal jellyfish chandelier), and highly recommended.
