Posthotel Leavenworth Reviews from The Last Year
Horrible front desk staff and management
If I could give this place a negative star review I would. We had our elopement planned and a room booked here for over a year. Traveled from PA to get married here. The manager at the front desk was extremely rude on the day of our wedding and told me that they will absolutely not allow our photographer to take any photos of us in the hotel. I was caught off guard when they first said this because of how much planning we had put into this day, and this was the first i was hearing of this. Nowhere on the website does it state that you can’t take photos…so if that’s the policy they should really make that known. The staff had no empathy or compassion for trying to make our day as beautiful as it should’ve been. When you pay over 800 a night for a place you would think they would bend over backwards to make their guests happy. Not the case. I chalk it up to the manager and owner of this hotel being bitter miserable individuals, and if you want to be treated with respect and have a great experience you should stay elsewhere.
This was a wonderful experience all around.
Very clean and comfortable. Variety of saunas and steam rooms was amazing. Food was delicious. Javiar was a highlight of our experience....he served us both meals. He was kind, courteous, and efficient. He did not hesitate to provide recommendations if we asked and his recommendations were perfect! He should receive an award for his excellent service!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!

The Posthotel in Leavenworth is a hidden gem amongst the chaos of the city. It is so calm, serene, a place to truly unwind in a quiet space. My husband and I stayed at the Posthotel for a few days for our anniversary, and it was truly such a joy. Every single person we spoke to was so kind and genuine. When we entered the lower pool area, we were immediately welcomed and asked if we would like a tour. If you are going for the first time, I absolutely recommend it. We were told things like the approximate temperature of each sauna room, how to use each room, that the cold plunge pools were two different temperatures, that the interior hot tub and exterior ones are the same temperature but the exterior one is naturally cooler because of the temperature outside. The note to bring a towel into the marble slab room to use as a pillow is such a good one. We floated from pool to pool, room to room, and while we were concerned that we would be bored - we never were. Now the food - it was remarkably good, and we owe most of that to Tana. Her recommendations were so good each and every time that if we didn't see her, or we were seated by someone else, I went to find her to ask her what she would recommend. From the Honey Amaretto Lavender Latte, to the Steak Salad, we even ordered the crepes because of her - and we are not crepe people - they were amazing! Not only were Tana's recommendations perfect, she was also a truly delightful person. We are making our way back to the Posthotel in a few weeks for my birthday and we are looking forward to seeing her again and everyone at the Posthotel.
We loved it so much, we already booked our next stay.

We just got home from our second visit.
We plan to make a visit once a year. The pool/wellness spa is luxurious and relaxing. The eucalyptus steam room with marble loungers is my favorite. Nothing better than the outdoor hot tub with a beautiful view of the snowy mountains. My wife had a massage that she said was the best she's ever had. The hotel and rooms are beautiful and sparkling clean. The restaurant is so nice and the food is delicious. Special shout out to Juan and Manuel at the pool and Rebecca at the restaurant, who were all outstanding and always anticipated our needs. My only feedback would be for the rules to include laptops being used only in your room. I saw one woman clearly working remote with her laptop at breakfast and the pool, it killed the vibe. Also feel like some of the staff need a reminder that not everyone who comes to this resort has a lot of money. Some of us just save our coins to enjoy a luxurious night and going above and beyond means the world to us. That's said, we'll definitely be back next year!
Best Spa in Western Washington
The Post Hotel is a must stay for my wife and I at least 4 times a year, Fav is to be there when it is cold and snow on the ground. A true Spa experience love the staff the food, and how they keep it quiet in the spa from Cell phones and loud talkers, I have Grandkids and love them dearly but I do like that there is a place for relaxation & to de-compress that is quiet with no load kids and beach balls. They did it right and will continue to go in fact will be there in a few days for a 4 day trip.
A very nice stay.
Loved it. We will be back. Found out "you do not know you are stressed out, until you are not". People there are wonderful, especially the guys monitoring the wellness area. The spa was amazing, both of our massages were amazing. Breakfast and lunch were great, until...on day 2 our waitress forgot to put our order in. Waited over 30 minutes for food that took 5 minutes the day prior. Room and facilities are amazing, looking forward to our next visit.
Loved this place it's amazing all the saunas is legendary

Experience doesn’t warrant price
I’m honestly not sure what the hype is about this place. It’s nice, don’t get me wrong, but at the expensive cost per night, I expect a lot more. In general, the vibe is pretty stuffy and doesn’t align with the chill and down to earth vibe of Leavenworth. The pool is fine, but it was crowded. Actually, all the chairs were saved and there were quite a few people at times, but definitely not as many people as there were spots saved. This is my number one complaint about hotels - if you have a pool please monitor the chair claimers. There were staff on the pool grounds who rudely told my friend and I to whisper, even though we were barely speaking and it was super early in the morning and we were the only ones there, and never mind the fact that the groundsman was using his leaf blower 25 feet away. The hotel staff was okay - not especially helpful and certainly didn’t go above and beyond in any capacity. We stayed for my friends 40th and had a bit of complicated reservation that required switching rooms mid-stay. This resulted in issues with the keys and needing baggage claim, etc. Every time we spoke to someone at the front desk, it was a new person and they couldn’t wrap their heads around the situation, and we had to start from the beginning. They even misplaced my friends luggage at one point. Felt very disconnected and was stressful. The food was okay - nothing amazing. There’s no alcohol on the grounds which I kind of understand since it’s a spa, but it would have been nice to have the option for champagne. This is a beautiful hotel, probably the best in the area, but I’m just not sure how the experience warrants the price and I don’t plan on coming back any time soon, if at all.
Outstanding 40th bday trip
I'm not sure why this hotel is rated 3 star on google, its a 5 star experience. The detail and thoughtfulness of this hotel is outstanding. The spa area was incredible, the 7 different saunas were beautifully designed and all unique. It was so fun to drink coffee in the outdoor hot tub in the morning while it was snowing outside. We stayed 3 nights, while it was wonderful I was a bit spa'd out by the end and would stay 2 nights next time. The food was delicious & plentiful. All the baked goods (bread, scones, desserts) were outstanding. I got a massage and facial combo which was nice but for the price I'd probably skip it next time because just relaxing all day by the pool and using the saunas was enough of a treat. We went in winter and it was probably 75-80 degrees in the indoor area and not humid at all, it felt amazing to lounge around in a swimsuit all day while watching the snow fall outside. While this place is pricy its worth it and includes a lot like access to the spa, saunas, parking, breakfast, lunch & dessert. There's no additional "resort fees" and other crap fees that many hotels charge these days. A few areas for improvement (though keep in mind they got hundreds of details perfect) are: - not letting people toss their stuff on chairs first thing in the morning and leave and come back as they want throughout the day. This causes all the chairs to get reserved with most people not even using them. Seems like a better system would be for the spa attendants to seat you as you come in and kindly ask you to take your things when you leave and reseat you if you return. - the marble bath tub in the rooms is gorgeous but is cold and absorbs all the heat, the water coming out of the facet was super hot and my bath was luke warm and cooled off quickly. - the beds could be softer, more plush. - a coffee table or ottoman in front of the couch/ fire place area would be nice, the tall large round thing is useless and blocks the view of the fire from the couch.
Best Spa hotel in Washington State
Wife & I have been coming here since it opened. I don’t understand why anyone would give it less than 5 stars, it has Always been perfect for us. It IS private, you can’t come to look around without a reservation, but that’s what makes it comfortable to wear a robe all day, to breakfast, pool, lunch, spa…all day. VERY relaxing and the pools, saunas & steam rooms are fantastic. For those that want to stop in just for food, you can’t do that, same for the Spa area but that’s fine for us since the rooms are top notch. During summer that have bikes you can checkout for free and ride the trails. This trip we brought our snowshoes only to find that they have those now as well.

Posthotel Leavenworth is a magical place, stunning views of the white snowy mountains. Place is gorgeous and extremely clean, staff are polite and welcoming, our room was cleaned daily. Breakfast and lunch was fresh delicious food , desserts were absolutely delicious . Pools, spas, cold plunge, sauna was clean and well maintained, book many months in advance this place gets sold out fast. When you combine the food, rooms, spa wellness and much more, this place is definitely worth the price.
This was our 4th visit to the Post Hotel.
Our first visit was in December 2019 ($560 a night plus taxes). We also visited Aug. 2022 ($680 a night plus taxes), December 2022 ($690 per night), and December 2023 ($770 per week night $870 Friday night plus taxes). It's an absolutely beautiful spa resort, though starting to show cosmetic wear and tear and some mildew in the restroom near the spas. This is the first time I took pictures in the spa area. They used to prohibit cell phones, but we noticed several people recording in the pool (even under the water), so I took a few pictures, careful to not get guests in my shots. * tip* You need to get down to the spa area early to save yourself a lounging chair or nest. Overall it's a magical getaway. Just not sure it's worth the current cost per night.
Five stars for this beautiful spa!
We had a lovely holiday stay at Posthotel. Absolutely first class. Our room was beautifully acquainted and we loved the glass fireplace and huge tub. Immaculate Beautiful views of the snow-covered mountains. The included breakfasts and lunches were outstanding. Fun to discover that three-quarters of the diners were there in their white robes and slippers! It is a spa for gosh sakes!! Staff incredibly professional and looking out for our best experience. Best of all was the spa! The pools were wonderful and my wife’s massage and my facial were ooh-la-la. We can’t wait to return! Thank you, Posthotel! (Oh, and below building parking was fantastic.)
Inflexible and non-accommodating.
Called hours after cancellation policy would have expired due to family emergency and being unable to travel. They kept my $1000 deposit and had no other solutions. We would have rescheduled for another time but now we won't be rescheduling. It was a midweek reservation we'd been planning for over a year. We were really looking forward to it. Supervisor said they can't help with any leniency on the refund policy because they will "lose money" when they can't rent the room out. I think I'm the one who will be out the money. Enjoy my $1000 Posthotel.
Relaxing Luxury
Another wonderful stay at the Posthotel. My wife and I love coming here to completely, receive great food and service. Right when I put on the robe and slippers I start to unwind. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. We hated to leave today but are looking forward to our next visit.
So relaxing...
Loved our return visit. Wellness area was relaxing as expected, although guests seemed to be a little louder and less respectful of others than before. Lots of talking in the saunas and common areas. Also a little taken aback by all the phones. I've never seen so many people in a pool with phones, and even a tripod or two to get the perfect Instagram photo or video. C'mon, people. Be in the moment and relax. Food was incredible...so many wonderful choices. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lucked out with crystal clear skies the entire weekend, making for stunning views. Looking forward to our next visit.
Oktoberfest
What a beautiful property and location. It was lovely to enjoy the mountain views and fall colors on some of the last sunny days of the year. This was our second stay. The rooms are luxurious and well maintained. It seemed like there were luggage carts the first stay but no worry. Someone immediately came down to the garage and helped carry our luggage up. The front desk was responsive to every request from picking up dishes or bringing fresh bathrobes. The staff in the dining room, spa, and housekeeping were equally kind and responsive. The real treat is the spa.
Luxe weekend! The steam rooms and saunas won't disappoint!

Me and my husband had a nice getaway at Posthotel.
This place is really luxury, very clean and stylish. Our room was very clean, bed was very convenient and our bathroom was gorgeous. Their breakfast is delicious too. Cappuccino was very tasty. They have 4 saunas on site and a big pool. Very good experience and we will definitely come again. My husband purchased their robe for me, I love it. Thank you for a very nice gateway.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
