An Ode to Portia’s Beet Bowl
This is the third year in a row that my friend from Germany requested lunch at Portia’s on his annual visit. He is a vegetarian, gluten sensitive, and organic when he can get it. Portia’s delivers. We both had the incredible Beet Bowl. Just writing this makes my mouth water. Enjoy the photo.

I am not a vegan or a vegetarian, but I discovered this lovely restaurant gem with a hummus wrap and a cup of delicious vegetable curry soup. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavor was on point. The prices were not "cheap eats," but you are assured of quality ingredients. My lunch was satisfying, nutritious, and a million times better than a chain restaurant. The service was admittedly slower than I would have liked, but the people were kind, made eye contact, and clearly cared about healthy eating. The ambiance is relaxed and unpretentious. The music wasn't too loud or too soft. I got a HU chocolate bar for dessert on the go. If you haven't tried them, I highly recommend them. Overall, I was pleased by this find and will return for lunch in the future.

After a few visits here, I can honestly say that Portia's has become my favorite restaurant in Columbus. With great food, friendly staff, and accommodations for all of our dietary concerns, we'll return anytime we're in the area. We love the grain bowls, wraps and beverages to name a few...

A local diner that happens to be vegan, in Columbus, Ohio. It is in the eclectic neighborhood of historic Clintonville. They claim to present carefully sourced foods at albeit at premium price. I ate nothing with ingredients I couldn’t pronounce. I had the breakfast wrap, a small house salad with their Caesar dressing and coffee for around $20. Delicious, fresh and for me, guilt free. The front of the house was serviced by a young man who was very pleasant and personable. The ambience and music selection just left me feeling so relaxed. A well spent $20. I will be back.

I ordered for pickup and ended up waiting in the cafe for 40 minutes. It took them about 20 minutes to inform me that one of the items was unavailable and give me a refund, and the other 20 to make a wrap and scoop some overnight oats into a cup.
The food is good, but overpriced for the portion sizes you get.
We saw multiple employees go outside with their gloves on, handling cigarettes or their car keys and car handle, and go back into the cafe without washing their hands or changing gloves.
The waitress did not use a notepad and forgot multiple orders for dine-in customers, so I don't imagine dining in is any better, unfortunately.
There seems to be no sense of organization here at all, and employees were constantly stopping to figure out what they were supposed to be doing.
First Time Visit
We had the Thanksgiving quesadilla, the super wrap, the no tuna dip with veggies, a peach smoothie and the chocolate mouse. I had been looking forward to this for a long time! The food was good, it just didn't live up to all the great reviews I had read. We were there on a very busy Saturday, so maybe that was why?

My wife and I always stop at Portia's Cafe and/or Diner when visiting our son in Columbus. Today we had lunch at the Cafe. Notuna wrap, cacao smoothie, and peach cobbler with "whipped cream". The wrap and cobbler were new choices for us, but absolutely as fresh and delicious as every other entree we have ever tried. If in Coulumbus (whether Vegan, Vegetarian or Meat eater) give the Cafe or Diner a try. You will not be disappointed. Yesterday we had lunch at the Diner. The BLT wrap, a side of potato salad, and the (new) cucumber lemonade. Delicious! and the lemonade so refreshing on such a hot Columbus summer day.

I ate at Portia's Cafe while visiting my son who moved to Columbus, OH a couple years ago. The menu has the best and most varied selection of vegetarian, and vegan dishes. They had many raw, gluten free, grain free and sugar free or low sugar options. And their Low Sugar Chocolate Cheesecake is to LIVE FOR!!!!! Their staff was friendly and best of all, when I liked something on the menu, they gave me the recipe so I can recreate it at home (to the best of my ability). Since I live so far away and am relatively new to raw vegan cuisine this was huge. I look forward to my next trip to Ohio. I will definitely be back...

Very interesting menu, the vegan “tuna” wrap is good, the black burrito is too! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
