So very good!
We were a party of 6 who came for brunch and everyone left with full happy bellies. The service was great as well. We ate in the back patio area along with our dogs which was also lovely.

Be the first to ReplyVegetarian Fine Dining at It's Pretty Goodest
I've been a vegetarian for 35 years. (Okay I just almost fainted at the realization of how long it's been...) I love restaurants that have good options for vegetarians, and I TREASURE restaurants that offer exclusively vegetarian options, especially a fine dining experience that isn't a miso-mash of wraps, falafel and other items that seemed like a good idea because they didn't contain meat. Plant Food + Wine is a really good, fine dining experience for any vegetarian or vegan where we mostly enjoyed what we got, and appreciated the artistry that went into it. There outdoor seating area is lovely and preferred by most (as best we could tell) but we're not fans of discernible temperatures or wind so we sat inside which was also comfortable. My wife and I shared 4 items. We had the Baked Raclette, Kimchi Dumplings, Artisanal Cheese Plate, and Trumpet Mushrooms (and there's a lot more to choose from, much of which is also gluten free.) We especially loved the mushroom dish, it was the heartiest and freshest of the lot with a nice alfredo-like sauce creating a wonderful and satisfying eating experience. The dumplings were good, but we got it in our head, as dumplings often are, that they'd be warm and it was a cold dish...so good on it's own terms but not what we'd hoped for. The fill-in was also "cream-cheesy" which overlapped a lot in texture with what was on the cheese plate...so we felt like we had too much "faux cheese" going on The dumplings flavor was good, but we would have liked more of a vegetables based texture of some kind. These cheese plate...Full disclosure – I eat cheese. I like cheese. I have yet to meet a vegan cheese that really does the job. These looked gorgeous but were mostly similar in taste and texture – again more cream-cheesy (if you will) than hard or soft-cheesy which is what you really want on a cheese plate. The Panda Cotta we had for desert was DELICIOUS. We demolished it and very much appreciated the taste and texture. Well done. We definitely didn't leave hungry, and enjoyed much of what we ate. There's a lot more to try so we'll be back at some point.

Had lunch here in the very nice patio. Service was friendly and good. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan. Just saying. I think vegetarians and vegans will like it. Zucchini Lasagna (raw, not cooked) was tasty, although something in it was salty. It didn't look like a big portion but it was surprisingly rich and filling. My companions had BLT and frittata. Something on the frittata plate was salty too, though. I tasted one of their side salads..., pretty good. The Panna Cotta was just ok. Should have had the pie. It's not cheap but for the westside I guess it's not unusual. All in all it was a quite refreshing and interesting experience.

Great food. Great service. Great ambience. Great location. Refreshing with an all vegan restaurant. Some gluten free options too.

First let me say that Mathew Kenney's Plant Food and Wine restaurant is Fine dining. This is the pinnacle of Plant Based cuisine. My wife and I are travelers and Foodies and have eaten in some of the most delicious restuarants in Europe and the States and Plant Food Wine stands up. Plant based or not. I honestly think it should be considered for a Michelin Star. That being said lets talk about the food. The simple grilled sourdough with nut butter is not to be believed. Like most of the dishes here, the simplicity will fool you, until it hits your taste buds. The use of local and seasonal ingredients is the basis and I've never tasted the complexity of flavors that his team creates. The back patio is like a scene out of Italy or Greece at night with the trees and lights. The staff is committed to service and the overall philosophy that Mathew has created. Alitalia the ( GM) is on every detail and is on the floor make sure everything is going as planned. Skylar, sever extraordinaire knows every ingredient and can answer and pair things up beautifully. James is the host and front of house and is impeccable in his manners and service. The Chef is Andre Olivera .... he is 20 years old and began when he was 16... a culinary savant. Other stand outs are Jay and the rest of the staff. the restaurant is fairly pricey, but this is no ordinary meal and is special dinner whenever we decide to go. For a very special night out, I highly recommend PFW.

What a lovely dinner on the back patio! The setting is like being at your closest friends house and the food was delicious! Clean options with so much flavor and wonderful presentation. It was the perfrct setting for catching up with friends.
Be the first to ReplyI WANTED THIS TO BE A GREAT REVIEW BUT VERY DISAPPOINTED
Arrived there for a three person business meeting. Entrance was small but they walked us through into outside beautiful patio area. Ambience was lovely with lighting and fire going. Service was sweet and prompt and smart. However, it went downhill when the food came out. We ordered many dishes from the cold selections and then equal amounts of the hot food. Plus two deserts.NOT one selection can I say was good, not one. This was a consensus in my group. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend this place for their food.I was hoping for better results.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, small portions, and pricey
Food was beautifully presented and tasted really great. The atmosphere is great for a peaceful setting. A couple things though: -the food was very minimal portions...so be ready to spend money for a small portion but great flavorful food -I think they could’ve played some nice background music -service could’ve been a lot more attentive...we sat down for probably 10min before getting water and our server’s mood was very rushy, but also he didn’t have a welcoming persona I think overall the food was super flavorful and great, but small portions. Not sure I would pay the price again for what we got, but for being plant base I really do appreciate the efforts of spreading a plant base lifestyle.

I really wanted to like the food at PFW but it didn’t deliver. Nice outdoor patio and dining room. The waiter was ok but made some mistakes along the way that leave you wondering. He helped us decant a wine, and then he proceeded to pour another open bottle of wine on top of the decanted wine in the glass. I guess he was distracted but he was very apologetic as he ruined a $$$ glass of wine Raw lasagne 7/10 nut cheese ricotta was not very tasty. Mushrooms 7/10 polenta not good Cavatelli 9/10 decent sauce and well prepared Nut cheeses as app were enjoyable but the chèvre was tasteless 7/10 Brussel sprouts 7/10 I expected more. We were two couples and had a great time in the rustic setting outside despite the less then interesting food. Will be back to try this innovative spot again.
