Bad Gluten Free Crust
We came and ordered both gf pizza and regular pizzas to go. Host was nice. We sat in what they called their “patio” which is like a closed off narrow hut off the restaurant. Blaring music. Took forever. They made an error with my husband’s pizza so had to remake it. Finally we left and ate. My gluten free margarita tasted fine but the crust was hard to chew. Would not return.

Just simply the best pizza you’ll have. The wine list is elite, the meatballs and salad were also excellent. It’s not the cheapest of places, but this was a winner.
Be the first to ReplyTop 100 in the world!
Saw Pizzana on the Robb Report top 100 pizza places in the world while we were in Paris, so back in the USA, we had to go … was yummy as expected. Pepperoni pizza delish!!!! Good crust - cheese - meat and sauce!!! Squash Blossom, delish too. To me a bit odd having the cheese dollops cold, but that’s just me. Sauce had a unique, tangy taste - not sure what it was, but delish! Both pizza’s great. Loved the chopped salad - perfect starter!!! Meatball app/side a must, soooo good! I could have sipped the sauce like soup!!! Side bread so good! The chocolate cake - a rare simple “cake” - olive oil, chocolate icing, just like Mama’s! And finally - the people! Everyone could not have been nicer. Our server, Sophia - super nice and positive - full of good energy, a great server! A+ !!!! Nicely done! YUM!!!!
Be the first to ReplyGood pizza. A step up from the usual suspects
Got a margarita to go. I would have liked to get it warmer, I suspect it stayed a bit too long on the counter. But the pizza was great- the dough was light but still offered some crunch on the outskirt, seasoning was on point. L.A has a fair amount of good pizza joints nowadays; Pizzana is clearly one of the best I've had in the city. It's a tiiiiny bit to pricey but hey, what's not overpriced nowadays. I will visit again and dine on site.

Fantastic Cavolfiore appetizer and Caesar Salad. Service is outstanding with a friendly and professional staff. Pizza is amazing with all ingredients being fresh with the love and care of a master chef.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Great service and fabulous food. The artichoke and pine nut starter was out of this world. We had 3 pizzas, cannot remember the names but one had truffles, one had squash blossoms and one had short ribs with pesto. All of them were great. The pizza base was light and the sauces were so flavorful

Best wood fired pizza for us by far! Our second time visiting (from DC area), and we are still searching for good pizza in our neck of the woods. Highly recommend Pizzana.
Be the first to ReplyA favorite (with take-out perfected)!
We admire the chef's continual creativity, as we have been ordering take-out for the past year and a half, only recently returning to dine onsite. The special eggplant parm sandwich was outstanding, as was the caprese sandwich. Every week or so, there was also a special pizza, and we tried so many, all delicious. The meats, cheeses, herbs imparted different flavors, while the crusts remained perfect. We appreciated the attention to detail for take-out, as it was possible to order par-baked pizza with detailed instructions and individually wrapped toppings for final baking at home. Once restrictions lifted, the lovely patio welcomed with wonderful service and all our traditional favorites.
Be the first to ReplyGood place for Naples style
Good place for Naples style pizza. Flavors were fresh and authentic. Little disappointed at pizza being served lukewarm but they were busy.

On a recent trip to LA, our foodie-friends saved the best meal for our last night. We love pizza and globe-trot always in search of the tastiest. This was a memorable pizza! Our friends began our introduction to Pizzana by having us watch a TV show that demonstrated the founder making the dough and putting his whole heart into it. It took us a couple of days, but we finally got a late-night reservation. It was worth the wait! I look forward to trying other dishes (in addition to a pizza) on my next visit.
Be the first to ReplyVisited the West Hollywood
Visited the West Hollywood location and really enjoyed it. Rather small with larger seating outside. Really enjoyed the artichoke appetizer. Visited to try the cacio e pepe pizza once we saw it featured on the Best Thing I Ever Ate. This was good but the Diavolo with thin sliced salami (tasted more like pepperoni) and honey blew us away. I would walk 5 miles to have this again. So unique. Light, crispy and lots of flavor. We finished 2 pizzas with 3 people plus an app and salad. Very expensive but unique, quality ingredients. Metered parking out front on the street. Very small beer and wine selection.
Be the first to ReplyVery Good ...but.
One of the best pizza's I have had in Ca. The crust is just like in New York. The ingredients are very superior to most other places.
That being said my two complaints are, #1 the size is way to small, a medium at best. #2 the price is very high.
Disappointed
After reading the reviews my husband and I stopped in while visiting LA.
We were seated immediately by a friendly hostess.
Server came by and took our drink orders. We asked if the pizza was big enough to share. He replied no that he could eat two. After reviewing the menu we decided to try the meatballs and get one pizza to share. The server said the Margherita pizza was a best seller so that’s what we ordered.
Then a pizza was delivered to the people next to us and we were amazed at the size. Definitely big enough to share!
We enjoyed the meatballs. The sauce was very flavorful and the char roasted bread was great for dipping.
The pizza was just ok. It was not strong enough to be picked up so you had to eat it with a fork and knife. The crust was thin and wet. The chat on the edge was a nice change. The pizza was lacking in the flavor I was expecting after eating the meatballs.
Service was good. Seating is unusual as the place is not very big. No atmosphere that would make you want to hang out in fact the tables are so close you can enjoy everyone’s conversation.
The Real Deal
Miss your Italian pies from your last trip to Naples???
Well here they are !!
Just simply the best pizza outside of Naples
Outstandig service, thoughtful wine and beer selections,
Why wait get your pizza fix here ....
FYI parking is a challenge and you may be walking a couple of blocks but ......its THE PIZZA
Where is the Napoletana?
I finally went for lunch to Pizzana with my wife and we both ordered two pizzas Napoletanas (margherita with anchovies), Any place that calls itself a pizza focused restaurant should offer the Napoletana or at least have some anchovies in the house. But surprise, surprise, they didn't have anchovies. So we ordered two margheritas and two beers with a hefty bill of $65 + tip. The place is pretty average (could be easily a fast food joint), music is way too loud and frankly for an OK pizza a bill of $75 for two is pretty outrageous, Maybe the Brentwood crowd enjoys throwing away their money, but you don't need to spend that much for a decent pizza. Stay away from Pizzana.
