Parmesan Pete's Naples Reviews from The Last Year
An Undeserved Reputation
I LOVE Italian food! Parmesan Pete’s was highly recommended to us, and I was eager to eat there. Unfortunately, it was an expensive disappointment for me. I don’t eat meat or pork, but I love pasta. I was looking forward to the puttanesca, but the restaurant didn’t offer it. So, I got the linguini with clam sauce. t noticed that it wasn’t called spagetti alle vongole at Pete’s, which should have been a warning sign. The meal was certainly fulsome; it must have weighed quite a bit more than a pound, but it was probably the worst vongole I’d ever had. The clams weren’t in their shells, and they struck me as having come out of a can. The meal was virtually tasteless. My wife, who was enjoying her veal Parmesan very much — one of the meats I don’t eat— tasted my spaghetti and had the same opinion of it as I. So, I complained about how tasteless it was and the waiter said, “Let me get you a new one,” which seemed like a fair offer. He brought the dish back in a few minutes, and the only change I could see was that it was hotter and maybe had some additional pepper. The capper came with the bill when I learned that my single, relatively small pour of La Crema’s Pinot noir cast $17. I usually drink La Crema’s Chardonnay, but I like having a glass of red when eating out at an Italian restaurant. Having the Pinot reminded me that one has to be careful with reds if you don’t usually drink them. Plus, you can buy a bottle of the wine for less than this place charged me for a glass. We got a box and I brought home about a pound of the uneaten spaghetti. I’ll throw it out later today.
Parmesan Pete's is definitely one of our favorite
Parmesan Pete's is definitely one of our favorite restaurants here in Naples. Food is always great! We always bring our out of town guests when Italian is requested. Our server tonight, John, was the best we have ever had anywhere! He was perfect in every way!! We will absolutely request him when we go. Such a joy! Thank you John, for a great experience!
Mediocre food, poor service bill incorrect.
No pizza. Will not go back. Too many better places to eat.
Really just the best (strip mall) Italian food.
Such seasoned and knowledgeable staff. We are Ashley fans! We had grouper and scallops. Flawless. Crisp salad warm, flavorful bread with scrumptious dipping sauce. Again we bought the 'gravy' to go. We will be back soon.
Love this restaurant but...
Love this restaurant, but my husband ordered the avocado and shrimp salad for lunch. $18 for avocado and 2, yes 2 shrimp and a bunch of lettuce. Maybe reconsider that order.
Parker says "Real authentic NYC style Italian food in Naples, FL. Who knew?"
Great little spot in a strip mall shopping center in Naples. Very small, so plan accordingly. Service was excellent as was the food and the atmosphere. Brings back memories of NYC. The eggplant parmigiana sandwich was great, but it was not traditional breaded eggplant. Rather, it was nicely sautéed, not breaded, but with the skin on (no, the skin was not tough, which means they used fresh eggplant). They give you a little gravy boat of extra sauce, which was a bit on the bitter side, but made with great quality tomatoes. Sides were eclectic and excellent. I had the cucumber, chi chi bean and red onion salad, which could have used a bit more dressing, but was excellent nevertheless. Gnocchi with pesto was outstanding. The menu is diverse, so there's something for everyone. Check it out.
Some of the best Italian food I've ever had! Do not pass up
Some of the best Italian food I've ever had! Do not pass up the chicken parmesan or the tortellini a la pete. The bread to start is fresh and worth saving to eat with your pasta. The servers have been friendly and treat you like their own family. The inside of the restaurant is small and loud, but has a cute vibe. We choose the patio both times, although is in a strip mall so surrounded by other businesses. If you're on the fence, please add to your list to try, it's a family favorite!!
Small place but the food is great.
Services is great portions are unbelievable be prepared to bring home and have another two meals out of one.
Can be crowded.
Food is good and fairly priced. Bread is very good. Would like to see a few more pasta options - particularly with chicken. Service could have been slightly better. Would recommend sitting outside. A little bright inside ( not quite NH atmosphere)and somewhat cramped. Overall a decent local spot
Very tasty and flavorful.
Veal Parmesan, goat cheese and beet salad, tortellini, lasagna
Excellent sauce and delicious and tender meats.
Service was super friendly and attentive. My only critique is, I would like more of a side of pasta w main course and ... the noise level inside is quite bad. But super minor things, it's a def go to. Excellent food and nice people....
I recently dined at Parmesan Pete's, a charming
I recently dined at Parmesan Pete's, a charming family-owned restaurant that truly impressed me with their authentic culinary offerings. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly their handmade meatballs, a signature dish that captures the essence of homemade Italian cooking. These meatballs are not just ordinary; they are exceptional in both size and flavor. Each one is as large as a baseball, a testament to the generosity and heartiness of the meals served here. The meatballs have a perfect blend of spices and are cooked to perfection, offering a delightful texture and taste that lingers pleasantly. Another standout feature of Parmesan Pete's is their fresh-made pappardelle. This pasta is a rare find in restaurants, and their version is sublime. The pappardelle has just the right thickness and chewiness, serving as the perfect canvas for their exquisite sauces. The restaurant itself boasts a cozy and intimate atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for both family dinners and romantic evenings. The small setting adds to the charm of the place, ensuring a personalized and memorable dining experience. In conclusion, Parmesan Pete's is a gem that offers a taste of true Italian cuisine. It's my go-to place whenever I crave a comforting and hearty meal, especially their unforgettable meatballs. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic Italian dining experience.
So good! Adored the service and the food.
Felt like I was not in the middle of Ft Myers but a quiet cafe enjoying great pasta.
Great food with large servings. Good service. You can't go wrong here.
The 3 of us had dinner last night. Very busy, reservation was necessary. Seated right away courteously. Good efficient waiter and kitchen. We all enjoyed our entrees with Chianti: Linguine Fra Diavolo with shrimp, Fusili, and chicken parmesan. All large servings with some to take home. Only flaw was chick parmesan was a little light on the pasta. They have a great authentic dessert menu in which we all partook plus espresso and cappuccino. A little noisy inside, but it gives you a family holiday touch. Will definitely be going back!
Ok experience.
Good food and service. Shocked the chicken parm comes with extremely small portion of pasta. Even the waitress says it’s small, “but you can order a side.” For $22 you shouldn’t have to order a side. Lots of similar examples with other dishes that don’t come with any pasta, “but you can order a side.”
Very good food and service
nice little restaurant food was good . Osso Bucco very good , also Carbonara pasta was delicious . calamari very tasty . bread a little bland . Ashley was a great waitress . a little noisy but it is a busy small place . we'll be back .
An Absolute Must
Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking and a few outside tables. Small restaurant with closely spaced tables as it is usually very busy and tables are in demand. It can get loud. A small bar area with seating for about 8-10. Beer and wine only. All staff that we encountered were smiling and pleasant and happy we were there even though they were super busy and probably would have welcomed a break. In Season I highly recommend a reservation. Our server Kristin (sp?) was great! Friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The salads, beet/goat and wedge, were a good size and very fresh. The artichokes were tasty and the carpaccio was good, not great. The scallops and pasta dish was fresh and creamy and delicious. The pork osso buco was so very yummy. Large serving but I couldn't stop. The sauce was loaded with flavor. (Don't let the marsala run you off. I don't care for marsala and I could not detect it here.) Another fish dish was ordered and my friend said it was super. The tartufo was good for sharing. I certainly will return!
Wonderful Family Owned Restaurant
2nd time there this visit. Everything was wonderful. Manny was our waiter on both ocassions, he was great and on top of it food was top notch and we always bring home food the portions they are so large. Would highly recommend. I would say definitely have a reservation.
Don’t waste your money!
Don’t waste your money, there are to many great places to eat in Naples. We ordered the mussels appetizer and my husband got sick on the 1st one. Literally had to run out of the restaurant. I mentioned to our waitress that something was wrong she called the manager over who apologized but offered no discount and proceeded to hand me the bill. Our waitress also seemed to have an attitude. I paid the bill but will not recommend this restaurant or return here. 👎

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
