Well, this was lovely.
We had a perch on the third floor. On a Tuesday evening it was not very noisy at all. The fennel salad was lovely and they were kind enough to drop the anchovies for us. The cauliflower was done in an interesting sauce, was it mango? But it was boiled or steamed , that detracted a little. Still a nice dish. The nettle pasta was excellent. Wish they'd given us just a few more shells, I think there were only four. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Came here for a family lunch on a weekend and everything we ordered was delicious! Seasonal ingredients were fresh, service was fine. The interior was nice and clean, and it was also cool that it was in a historic townhouse. Would recommend!
Be the first to ReplyJust went for my second visit in two months last night.
Both times my husband and I went for the a la carte menu since I'm kind of picky and am not super into set menus. We've now ordered 75% of the menu and I can confidently say that it's all really well done. We tried both salads but far preferred the shaved fennel (got it without blue cheese and it was still great). The radicchio is a lot more aggressive in flavor. The sourdough is fantastic as is the garlic butter (took some home). The focaccia is great if you love sour cream and onion, but I'd pick the sourdough over the focaccia for sure. The fluke crudo isn't your typical crudo because of the puffs and curry. It almost tastes like a chaat which I was super into, but if you want something more traditional this might not be for you. The mushroom stuffed pasta is fantastic, but a smaller portion. It comes with five lil stuffed pastas and a sauce. Def not an entree but would be good to share as an app. If you like mushrooms and rich flavors you should def go for this dish The bass is great but I personally am less into fish. The clams are a nice addition! The cheeseburger here is one of the best I've ever had. We ordered medium rare and it came out perfectly. They don't give you nearly enough pickles but each time I've asked for more they've been cool about it. I wasn't super into the carrot falafel. I generally am not that into falafel and it's just that + a lot of carrots. We were between that and the beets and I regret not ordering the beets. We've never ordered dessert here but we went for our anniversary and they brought us complimentary champagne which was really delicious and also a little funfetti cake with a scoop of ice cream. There was a bit of sea salt in the cake which was a nice touch. All in all I very much enjoy this spot and will probably go again in like a year once they change the menu.
Be the first to ReplyWouldn't recommend the tasting menu.
Half of it came cold. Wine pairing isn't worth it. Food was good but overpriced

Did not have super high expectations so food was actually above my expectations lol. Got basically all of the appetizers which were all delicious, and the standouts were the crudo and focaccia. The mains were decent, burger was the best and stuffed chicken was pretty good too. Did not do pre fixe but would say service was meticulous and ambiance was very nice for date night or a small group dinner!
Be the first to ReplyCame here Friday night for a celebratory dinner.
We initially wanted to do a la carte bc my husband had some dietary restrictions. But the host said if we reserved for tasting menu (which we didn't know we did), we should stick to it bc the restaurant only had several of those spots per night and that it's important for the restaurant to keep these reservations. I do however, appreciate the fact that they were able to switch out some ingredients for my husband's dietary restrictions, so it all worked out in the end. We were seated upstairs where the tables were very close between each group, almost touching, which I wish wasn't the case. Overall I enjoyed my meal but for the amount of $$ this cost, I wish there was more space around where we were sitting.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious pre fix meal.
Not to be missed. The service was on point, but the food was even better!!

Awesome dining experience! The burger was insane as well as the fennel salad. Perfect meal.

At a high end place I expect to be wow-ed, unfortunately it wasn't special/amazing. We sat at bar (it is a really tiny place) and the bartender was great, made lovely drinks. We had sourdough with black garlic which was lovely. The fennel salad was good, but nothing to rave about. I ordered the duck, my hubby the burger. He ordered med rare, it was well done, still juicy, but really, a one Michelin star place that can't cook a burger right..and my duck was the disappointment of the night. The meat was very tender, probably prepared sous vide, but the crispy skin was burned from the spices and tasted bitter as a result. I love crispy duck skin, didn't eat this one.... All in all not what I was expecting.

I came here for dinner with my friend a while back and we had a lovely time. The tasting menu was delicious and is in the upstairs portion in an intimate small dining room, with excellent service. Would definitely return and am curious about the a la carte menu so might try that next time.
Be the first to ReplyEnjoyed the service and more quiet ambiance here.
My favorites were the appetizers, the trout, and the goat cheese dessert. The rest of the dishes were just ok.
Be the first to Reply*PLEASE READ* I had made the reservation all the way back
*PLEASE READ* I had made the reservation all the way back on 9/6 as a Global Dining Access Member for 9/29 via Resy, very eager to see what One White Street had to offer. We arrived at One White Street shortly before our reservation time despite the horrendous flooding weather, gave a staff member our belongings and obtained a #20 gold token to be used later for our same belongings at the end of the night. We were then escorted to the 3rd floor for the counter seating. We finished our bland meal, paid, called a car to head back home and headed down the stairs around 11pm. I would like to preface that we have been to hundreds of Michelin starred restaurants all over the globe over the years as it is a hobby of ours. We noticed there was nobody to greet us out the door or to assist with our belongings. This was a first. We proceeded to take initiative as our ride home was approaching and headed down the stairs to retrieve our belongings. My guest went first with myself behind, she then slipped on the top wet marble/slate step and proceeded to fall down the additional 5/6 stairs until the bottom, with her backside slamming first. To no avail was any employee to assist in helping her up or helping us with our belongings after the incident either. Very embarrassed, she just wanted to leave the scene and get in the car we had outside waiting to go home. Before we had entered the vehicle, I noticed there was no yellow or slip sign and a small, but noticeable puddle of some substance on the top step going down where the slip happened as we were trying to retrieve our own belongings. Additionally before leaving the restaurant James had given me his information written on the back of Alfred's business card. When reaching out via telephone James had mentioned this was a "fluke" experience and to write this all via email. He admitted no wrong doing nor an apology. It has now been over a week and I have not heard from the restaurant nor their HR department at all. For a $600 2 person tasting menu experience I will not be returning. Extremely disappointed in this establishment the night of the accident and what transpired a week after. Very disrespectful.
Be the first to ReplyI've been multiple times before (both bar and tasting menu).
I am someone who appreciates and collects good wine and was excited to see the $10 corkage on Mondays. I arrived at 4:50pm and was told I could only sit outdoors in the heated patio and would have to give up the table by 7pm. We brought two nice vintage bottles. The entire time we were there, we were rushed to finish our food and drink our nice wine quickly. Meanwhile, the entire shed and restaurant was empty. My previous experiences were wonderful but unfortunately this really tainted my view and I will not be coming back.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed with my experience at One White Street.
We sat downstairs at the table next to the bar and ordered:Foie gras presse-8.5/10 great texture but nothing amazingShaved fennel- 8/10 we loved this, would have loved more acidity and a smaller pieces of bleu cheese and anchoviesBeef tartare-8/10 a little too salty 24oz dry aged ribeye-5/10 Of the 4 pieces, one was entirely fat and the undersides of each of the other 3 were entirely fat/gristle. I understand ribeyes are fatty but to not even cut it off was ridiculous. You're basically serving inedible food. Lemon meringue tart- 8/10 i love lemon and meringue so this was great except it wasn't set all the way Besides the disappointment for our main, the biggest issue I had was that there was a couple at the bar, sitting directly next to our table (about a foot away) that knew the entire staff. The entire time, different staff members kept coming up to them and squeezing next to us to talk to them. They were also so loud that we could barely hear each other speak. Not once did they apologize for making us uncomfortable, bumping into us, or disrupting our dinner each time they had to squeeze past us. We were celebrating our anniversary so this really ruined our night.
Be the first to ReplyOk so what really matters about 1WS - sometimes I just sit
Ok so what really matters about 1WS - sometimes I just sit and think about their focaccia. Like wow. It was so good. Texture, flavors, presentation. Truly they have mastered focaccia like I've never seen. Also had the roast chicken. I was expecting a boring roast chicken and was shocked by the price. But the chicken was cooked extremely well. You're served multiple parts each with its own texture. It's stuffed with a savory brioche which was really good. On a decadent and savory jus that brought so much more flavor. Along with a side of green. But it's also served with chicken sausage. And a vegetable kebab like side dish. So it's a hefty dish. And totally worth it. Could have passed on the dessert though - it wasn't memorable.
Be the first to Replyfood 10/10service 10/10ambiance 10/10absolutely stunning.

Be the first to ReplyI also have been wanting to go here ever since I found
I also have been wanting to go here ever since I found about it, so I booked a table for 4 to celebrate my and my twin brother's birthday with my parents, and MAN, was this one of the best decisions of my life. Immediately as we walked in, were welcomed to a a cozy yet so immeasurably chic and modern atmosphere that made me feel high class yet not stuffy whatsoever. Since we decided we were going to get the tasting menu that day, we were seated upstairs where we were greeted with a set of post cards and colored pencils. They told us that we could customize these post cards and send them to whoever we would like, as postage is included. This was such a cute and fun activity to start my dinner, and that already left such an amazing impression on me! Since we got the tasting menu, my brother and I only ordered extra drinks, so I am going to detail he standout dishes from the night (because all of it was just so yummy):Drinks:Penicillin and Maitre Dion - I got two drinks for the night, and both were absolutely wonderful! The former was light and citrusy and very sweet, while the second was more smoky due to the mezcal, but also very fruity and sweet, just how I like it. Amazing drinks, would definitely get these both againFood:Smoked eel tortelloni - when I say that this has to be one of my favorite things I have eaten this year, and actually in my entire 5 years living in NYC, I really mean it, because it was SO. DELICIOUS. The pasta itself was cooked to perfection with a filling that can be only described as so smooth and so flavor, and it was bathed in a FANTASTIC eel consommรฉ that I could not stop drinking. I would come back here JUST for this dish entirely, because it really made my night and I just loved it so, so much.Black truffle foie gras with brioche bun - this brioche bun has to be one of the best buns I have ever had in my entire life. So fluffy and light with an amazing truffle and buttery flavor, it paired PERFECTLY with the foie gras, which can only be described as a truffle lover's dream. So, so flavorful, and I would also come back specifically for these buns because they were just that good.Duck and duck sausage with carrot - I was surprised to be so blown away by this dish considering that I have had duck as part of tasting menus before, and they were not able to live up to my expectations. However, the duck here is so tender, so juicy, and was packed with so much flavor due to the sauce it was covered in, making it one of the best duck dishes I have had in a long time. The duck sausage was also really good, and the carrot so sweet and tender and paired perfectly with the duck. A great end to the savory components of the menu.Speculoos cake with meyer lemon filling and rosemary ice cream - this dessert HIT so hard. I am a sucker for citrus desserts and herbal flavors, and this combined them into a wonderfully sweet and tart dessert that I could not get enough of. There were also discs of meringue atop the cake which added a nice textural component to the dish, and this ended the tasting menu with a bang of sweet, light goodness that I also would come back for.Overall - amazing experience and delicious tasting menu combined with an aesthetic that I love makes me definitely want to come back here some time in the future. We also got to keep our menus for the night, which was a fantastic parting gift for one of my most memorable birthday meals!

Was excited to try the tasting menu, which they were able to do vegetarian - felt very similar to the regular menu in quality and creativity. And it did not disappoint! Interestingly, the highlights of the meal for me were elements of dishes vs particular dishes. The filling of the tortelloni, roasted celery root (how does a celery root become so savory and satisfyingly cheery?), a small bit of smoked carrot purรฉe, the creamy sunchoker in paper thin crispy fried wrap. The dessert was exceptional, with so much flavor in an unusual but delicious combo. Focaccia and brioche were nice, although maybe a tad dry. I found the potato purรฉe and the broth for the tortelloni much too salty. The roasters carrots were good, but a bit boring. Service was excellent, restaurant ambiance elegant and modern, yet cozy.
Be the first to ReplyWe have been trying to get a reservation at One White
We have been trying to get a reservation at One White Street for many months. We finally snagged one for a Tuesday evening, but we happily took it. Unfortunately the reality of One White Street does not match up to the marketing hype. The chefs are very ambitious and creative, but they are creative for creativity's sake without remembering that the goal is to serve wonderful food that is delicious and pleasing. Hopefully they will remember that they are serving real food to real people and that they will get it right. My wife said her grandmother said when she was all dressed up and ready to go out, "too much, remove one thing." That is what we wanted to tell the chef, just remove one thing.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely overpriced: 1.
food too salty;2. service very poor for 1 star Michelin (the server refilled my friends' glasses but not mine, and they never come and check with us "how's the food");3. the picture says everything, quality control is so disappointing;4. I seriously doubt they served my friend with the wrong course: she asked for her menu after they brought her an unexpected dish but has never been presented with the menu.I won't be surprised if they lose their star next year, ha ha ha.Seriously don't pay $200+ for this shit.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for a Thursday night dinner with my work
Came here for a Thursday night dinner with my work colleagues. Location was almost hidden on a narrow street. We were seated promptly and our server (wish I could remember his name, only male waiter on 12/7/22 ) walked us through the menu. He was extremely patient and very thorough with the explanation of all the dishes. In conclusion:- I Can't decide on which dish I liked the best as they equally all were unique -Consistency of scallops were perfect -Combo of blue cheese with fennel salad paired well together -Butternut squash dish was very savory and Focaccia bread was freshly baked-Broccoli dish was one of the best I've ever had -Cocktails were well curated -Great service
Be the first to Reply$170 tasting menu was just ok.
Main issue was the number of heavy and rich dishes. Wasn't enough balance in the menu so it became hard to get through. Cool setup with multiple floors and open kitchen. Service was really good and attentive but wouldn't recommend the current menu. Comparison: The Musket Room (liked it better)Food: 6/10Value: 6/10Service: 9/10Vibe: 8/10
Be the first to ReplyThis was a so-so experience though we were very excited to
This was a so-so experience though we were very excited to try a hot new spot in Tribeca- Setting and atmosphere: It's a beautiful restaurant in a brownstone (though lower ceilings and not as wide as the one we live in haha), so it's a unique setting. You walk in and the atmosphere on a Friday night was great - The food was good. It started out really great with the smoked squash and harissa spiced grains. The foie gras was great. The mains were a bit more meh. The couscous that came with the cauliflower was oddly overly sour- The cocktails I thought were just ok. I'm a margarita enthusiast and make my own, and I was not impressed- Service was friendly but the food took a very long time to come. My partner was melting in his seat. We often get sub-par service at fancy restaurants and I wonder if it's because we look really young (but we are in our 30's...). Regardless, it leaves something to be desired at these price pointsWe're probably willing to give this another try given the solid start to the meal, but I was not blown away. The next evening we went to Au Cheval and that was a phenomenal experience :)
Be the first to ReplyOne White Street is a really good new restaurant in Tribeca.
Its located in a beautiful Brownstone with the upstairs serving a tasting menu and the downstairs offering a la carte. We sat at the bar and ordered off the a la carte menu. Grilled chicken skewers - these were fine, nothing too special.Brussels Sprouts Salad - this was a excellent, refreshing salad. The buttermilk dressing is great, the added pear gives a touch of sweetness.Foie Gras & Pastrami - very good, it came with a straight out the oven piece of bread to spread the foie gras on. Definitely ask for another piece of bread as you will go through the bread and still have a lot of the foie gras dish to go.Stuffed Cheesy Bread - excellent, stuffed cheesy bread need I say more.Braised Lamb Pappardelle - excellent, they give you a lot of lamb meat that is tender, succulent, and cooked perfectly. It goes great with the pappardelle.Grilled pork collar - ok, this was the only dish that we wouldn't order again. Bar service was attentive and solid. It's very small downstairs so make sure to get reservations.
Be the first to ReplyAll in all a terrific dinner.
Audrey Frick, the wine director, impressed us when she wouldn't serve a slightly corked Raveneau. Professional and smart. We had the tasting menu, which is served upstairs. The food was delicious and creative without being heavy or gimmicky.
